I was able to enjoy the day that I worked so hard planning. Madison took every idea I had an ran with it, with perfect execution every time. She was the behind the scenes rock of every aspect of our day. My favorite part- was being able to have a meal with my husband between the ceremony and reception. Madison made a plate for us and provided us an area where we would eat and be together before the rest of the chaos began. I would highly recommend Velvet Honey.

She responded quickly to the many, many, many texts I sent her and went above and beyond to make sure my wedding day was everything I had hoped for and dreamed of! They were so courteous and helpful with the overwhelming aspects of planning of a wedding. VH is also just so uplifting and positive. I never went a meeting without seeing a smile on Sydney’s face. o discuss details and logistics. I planned for a ceremony and reception to take place in the same room of a venue for 50 guests.
The venue opened for decorating at 11 a.m., giving Madison five hours to decorate. My father took all of the decor to Madison (minus the flowers) at 11:30. When we arrived at 4:45 p.m. for the ceremony at 5:30, the venue far from ready. The ceremony arch was not properly put together, the bartender was not there (she had set up in a completely different room at the venue) and there was no directional signage for the guests, something Madison and I had discussed and she said she would handle. The room was in such a state that my photographer couldn't even take detail photos of the tables and venue. When I started showing concern, Madison brushed me off. The venue coordinator ended up consoling me. If it weren't for the staff at the Civic Center, the wedding would have even been more delayed. We ended up starting about 35 minutes after the planned ceremony time. I was so stressed because of the state of things that I cried off most of my makeup before the wedding even started.

ended almost all of our other vendors to us and they were all great; which made the process of wedding planning so much less stressful. She never made me feel like I was “too much”, she saw my vision start to finish and really brought it together on our big day. Velvet Honey handled everything with such calmness and professionalism. I felt like we were best friends by the time it was all said and done. If you’re considering whether or not to hire a wedding planner, get one. Someone like Madison will make the world of difference for your wedding and help you with questions through your the process you might not have even thought of, not to mention how smoothly they can make things go on your big day. Do it, hire a planner, hire Velvet Honey! You’ll thank me later.
