phy enthusiast, I was having trouble finding a wedding photographer that really captured my interest. Heidi’s beautifully composed and edited images stood out the instant that I saw them. We hired her to capture our engagement (Mount St. Helens) and wedding (Silcox Hut at Timberline Lodge) photos, and my husband I agree that it was the best decision that we made about the entire event. The images are spectacular. Heidi did an outstanding job of capturing genuine emotion, candid moments, and fun details. Even our “standard” shots – the dress, shoes, poses that we requested – were composed in such a way that they command attention. Heidi seems to have a true affinity for using natural light, selective shots, and minimal equipment – she’s agile and fun, ran all over the various mountains with just us and her camera bag, and got some of the best images that we have ever seen. That’s the mark of a true artist, in my opinion. And of course, beyond the spectacular images that she creates, Heidi is an amazing person – genuine, funny, and kind – and most importantly, able to quickly connect with and inspire trust from her subjects. Our wedding guests remarked that they would have loved to have had her at the wedding even if she wasn’t the photographer. We highly recommend hiring Heidi for any event, and we can’t wait to work with her in the future!
