I hired The Velvet Room to do hair and makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, and mother of the bride/groom for my wedding (10 total people) and had a great experience! Shanice did both my hair and makeup and even stayed longer than expected to finish everything to perfection and help me with my veil pinning. All the bridesmaids looked amazing too and everyone was super pleased with their hair and makeup, which lasted the entire day - from 7am until after midnight. Would definitely recommend their team to other brides for their wedding H/MU!

for my engagement pictures. I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled start time of 3pm on August 8. The lights to her shop were off and the door locked. I called her and said that I had arrived and asked if I was at the wrong location. She just kept saying oh my god I lost track of time and finally said I’ll be there in 20 minutes. I reluctantly agreed to wait knowing that would give me maybe 15 minutes to get dressed and get to picture location. She calls me back a few minutes later and says the air is out at my shop I’m going to send you the address to my friends shop. She does, I google it, another 12 minutes away. I just couldn’t do it. I hate to write negative reviews because I know how hard people work but if you choose Shanice just call the day before and triple confirm that she is available

I had never had my makeup professionally applied before, and I was so pleased with the natural-looking, lightweight results of the airbrush makeup and lash extensions, and with how long it stayed fresh-looking. I didn’t have to reapply or touch up anything the rest of the day! The trial run went great and Sara took notes afterwards to ensure it was even better the day-of. My bridesmaids were also very pleased with how Sara got each of their skin-tones perfect and no one looked like they had pounds of makeup caked on. Highly recommend The Velvet Room!

ing the pearl hair accessories I was planning on wearing. The wedding was 7 hours away from my home, so there was no hope of retrieving it. Marina didn't miss a beat. She had one of my brides retrieve some flowers from my centerpieces. She wove the flowers into my hair, which was half braided in the back. It turned out beautifully! I'm actually glad I left the hair piece now, because the flowers were more stunning, anyway.
I would highly recommend Marina!
