The Velvet Room team focuses on making sure each and every person feels like the best version of themselves by keeping up with beauty trends and continuously educating their team expanding their skillset together.
Velvet Room’s team is open to any size weddings, from big to small they love them all! They offer on-site and in-studio services in South St Louis City as well as travel for weddings, photoshoots, proms and many more special occasions. In addition to these wonderful services, Velvet Room also offers B-12 shots given by their NP-C who is on the team as well and will travel to you!

Our stylist, Sara Myers was great! She worked with our timeline snafus and created gorgeous updo’s for my daughter’s outdoor 2pm wedding. We all felt so pretty and elegant on this very special day. Thank you Velvet Room STL, for coordinating an important event and making us feel so fancy! Our bridal coordinators also told us that we had made a great choice in choosing your company. Marina and Shanice from The Velvet Room were my hair and makeup artists for my wedding and they are AMAZING!
I wanted a team that was comfortable with diversity. I'm biracial and have thick curly hair that I wanted to keep natural. Plus, my mom is black, my two matrons of honor are biracial, and 2 bridesmaids and my husband's mom and sister are white. And this duo absolutely crushed it! I felt so beautiful (and they covered up all my acne scars). My hair and makeup stayed all day, as did everyone else's. AND they did 8 people's hair and makeup, and were running ahead of schedule! We had a calm, amazing morning, due in part to this incredible team. I cannot recommend them more!

Shanice did an amazing job with our makeup! I felt so beautiful for my day, and the rest of the bridal party looked amazing! I also loved how my hair turned out, and the stylist did a great job of making me feel beautiful by complimenting my thick hair! I wouldn’t change the beauty team at all - those ladies killed it! Thank you for letting me feel confident on such a special day.
(Also, I got married in May and it was HOT! My makeup stayed on the whole time despite sweating a ton and I still looked perfect by the end of the night!)

Marina was so great to work with and did an excellent job on my bridesmaids' hair and my hair for my outdoor summer wedding! Marina made sure everything was to my expectations for the trials, the day of the wedding, and for my bridesmaids as well. It was a hot summer day and all of our hair looked excellent and it held up through the day and night! Marina went above and beyond to work around the heat and small quarters we had with ac. I cannot say enough good things about my wedding day hair and Marina. I 100% recommend her for your next big event!!

Booking Velvet Room for my wedding day was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my wedding! They were super responsive, met my every need and want, so kind, and made my hair look stunning! There is also an option to rent out the salon for your big day and that was a HUGE lifesaver, when trying to figure out where on earth to get ready with all of my girls! They also have a gorgeous geode inspired wall which was great for getting ready pics. I would and have recommended them a million times over!

Marina and Shanice are AMAZING! They really listened to what I wanted for my bridal hair and make up, and they absolutely delivered. Their studio space is great for groups. I used their on-site services for an early morning at an AirBnB: they were charming and chipper even super early in the morning! My entire wedding party, including my mom, were very pleased. Marina and Shanice are great with various hair and skin types. Everyone looked GORGEOUS.

Marina and Shanice were the ideal choice for our wedding hair and make-up artists! They understood what I wanted, and delivered! I could relax the day of my wedding knowing I didn’t have to worry about my hair and makeup. They timed everything perfectly (they had 4 other women to do). They were professional and exhibited fantastic communication throughout the whole planning process including leading up to the wedding. Not only were they more than capable and so talented, it was really wonderful to spend my calm bridal morning with the two of them. I felt like I was hanging out with my girlfriends!!
These women were amazing for our wedding day! Marina worked with me to find my perfect hairstyle and put together the perfect team for the day. Jenna gave me the most perfect makeup look and made me feel comfortable despite the fact that I don’t normally wear makeup! The whole team did a wonderful job working on my bridal party and I am forever grateful.

I loved my hair and makeup from the Velvet room, but what I really want to discuss is the professionalism displayed by the owners. One of their makeup artists canceled on me twice (life happens). I was in full panic mode and questioning my choice. Both owners, Shanice and Marina stepped up to make sure that my hair got done. Shanice offered to personally step in and make sure I could do my trial on the same day as the cancellation. No excuses, but great solutions. In the end, it worked out, and I looked fabulous! Thanks for valuing your customers!

I chose the Velvet Room for my wedding makeup in July and very highly recommend! I did airbrush makeup and half up hair, plus multiple hair/makeup for bridal party. Marina and the Velvet Room team did amazing, and made the whole process so smooth from the trials to the wedding day. Everyone was very professional, responsive, and did an excellent job with hair and makeup!

Lydia was AMAZING!! She was so sweet and very professional. On our big day she did 2 flower girls, 3 bridesmaids, & my hair. Not only did she finish on time, but everyone's hair was perfect the entire night.

Marina surpassed my expectations and made me feel stunning! She did my hair for our rehearsal dinner, our wedding day and all the women in my bridal party. Simply outstanding. Marina is a very kind soul with a lot of talent! She was incredibly reliable and down to earth and made the morning of my wedding super relaxing and enjoyable! We had done a trial beforehand, so we had an idea of what we wanted, but I’ll never forget when I sat down and Marina said “So, I have an idea!” I trusted her completely at that point and she gave me the most beautiful bridal braid that I’ve ever seen! She completed looks for all of my bridesmaids, my mom, and my wedding coordinator all in time for pictures. She is a natural with hair styling and makeup! I am so grateful for Marina and I am so glad that she was our stylist for the such an important day!

I needed extensions for my upcoming wedding after several failed attempts I finally found Marina! She not only helped me find the perfect extensions for my hair type, walked me through the entire process and provided suggestions but ultimately she transformed me into a beautiful bride. Days before the wedding I needed a touch up and Marina went out of her way to drive to my home in Illinois to do my hair. She is absolutely amazing and has the Best customer service ever! I highly recommend Marina Artistry 110%!

Marina was wonderful!!! Me made my look and feel beautiful! I had just originally hired her to just do my make up but we found out last minute at the hairstylist that we had hired had not put me on her schedule and I called Marina and without hesitation said she could do my hair also and came over earlier than what we had planned. She was simply amazing!

Marina was absolutely amazing!! She was on time and had so many beautiful choices for makeup! She uses top notch quality makeup products! She made my bridesmaids and mothers absolutely beautiful!!! She also was so kind and even did hair and makeup for my officiant last minute! Everyone looked beautiful!! And as for me, the bride, she made me feel so beautiful. Just like a Princess! Definitely recommend her for anyone looking to have someone talented, professional and friendly make their big day or any special event one that’ll leave them feeling stunning! 5 out of 5 stars!!!

Marina is amazing! I met her by chance through work and immediately stored her information with my upcoming wedding. She was able to take care of myself and my MOH for the small elopement style ceremony and we plan to use her for the following year when we have our post covid wedding! She went above and beyond to make my hair and makeup vision come true! Will continue to recommend her to all my fellow STL brides. She is promopt, professional and personable. Couldn’t have picked a better woman for the job!

Marina did my bridal hair and makeup, and it was perfect! She's fun, funny, easy going, and hella resourceful.
We did a trial beforehand, but when I got the wedding I forgot to bring the pearl hair accessories I was planning on wearing. The wedding was 7 hours away from my home, so there was no hope of retrieving it. Marina didn't miss a beat. She had one of my brides retrieve some flowers from my centerpieces. She wove the flowers into my hair, which was half braided in the back. It turned out beautifully! I'm actually glad I left the hair piece now, because the flowers were more stunning, anyway.
I would highly recommend Marina!
