About this vendor
Venture Ever After specializes in adventure elopement and intimate wedding photography and experiences in the PNW. My focus is on helping people in love have the intimate wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. I believe that love is best strengthened through meaningful, shared experiences, and what better occasion to approach with intentionality and meaning as your wedding day?
When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Choose to spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Venture Ever After is so much more than photography. Because intimate weddings and elopements are so custom, folks often aren't sure where to even start. Working with Nadia was genuinely collaborative. She's organized and communicative in ways that really matter: we knew what to expect and felt held through the whole process. Beyond...
the logistics, she has a remarkable ability to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her prompts were thoughtful and specific, which meant our joy in those moments came through naturally. Seeing our pictures back, we remember the sweet moments and genuine laughs.
What struck us most was her presence during our celebration itself. Nadia and her assistant moved through the day seamlessly, capturing everything without ever interrupting the flow or our ability to be present with our community. They were everywhere and nowhere at once.
Nadia's photographic aesthetic is distinctive. The color work is intentional and rich, with a saturation that feels vibrant and timeless. We moved across several lighting contexts during our wedding day: outdoor midday portraits, golden hour moments, and eventually an indoor evening dance celebration. The color in all the photos remained beautifully consistent and alive.
Beyond the static photography, Nadia surprised us with GIFs of key moments in motion. We'd decided against videography, but those captured something we wouldn't have had otherwise, and we're so grateful for that thoughtfulness.
What comes through in her work most is who she is as a person. She takes time to genuinely know you, and that care translates into her art. She felt like part of our celebration, not an outsider documenting it.
Nadia is worth the investment!!! These photographs will be memories we cherish for a lifetime, and we're deeply appreciative of her artistry and her heart.
Working with Nadia for our elopement was the best decision we could have made for our experience and memories.
From the very beginning, she was incredibly accommodating, easy to ...
talk to, and impressively organized. On a day that could have felt stressful, she made us feel completely safe in her hands. We always knew what was coming next, never felt rushed, and never felt like we were “performing” for the camera - we were simply living our day.
Our elopement was a literal dream - everything we could have asked for and more - even with some pretty wild weather during our afternoon session. Instead of it feeling like an obstacle, Nadia embraced it with calm confidence and made the whole experience feel effortless.
What stood out the most was how genuine the entire day felt. The laughs, the conversation, the way she drew real emotion out of us - nothing felt forced or staged. Feeling natural was so important to us, and her style absolutely delivered. The day stayed exactly what we wanted it to be: easy, intimate, and centered on love.
We truly cannot recommend Nadia enough. If you’re looking for someone who is not only talented, but also grounding, thoughtful, and a joy to be around - she is your person.
Choosing Nadia as the person to document our special day was one of the easiest and best decisions we made during our wedding experience. From continued and prompt communication f...
rom day one, to going absolutely above and beyond helping us troubleshoot and navigate the process when not one but two venues fell through, Nadia was so helpful and supportive. Wedding day, Nadia has such a calming presence and felt like one of our long term friends which really made the intimate moments between us on our wedding day how it should be, magical and so special. On the way to the venue when we found ourselves hungry, without wallets, Nadia even stopped with us at a gas station and bought us snacks. There are no words to depict how truly grateful we are. Nadia is a special human and her photography is just the icing on top. She helped us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process and the way she captured our day for us was everything we wanted. We are so glad we chose her as our photographer but her part in the day meant so much more to us. Very grateful for you, Nadia!
Working with Nadia was an absolute dream. Her work speaks for itself—she has an incredible ability to capture both sweeping landscapes and intimate moments in a single frame.

first met Nadia at a wedding show and were instantly drawn in by her stunning images, but it was her calm energy and genuine sincerity that truly sealed the deal for us. I knew our photos would be beautiful, but I had no idea the experience of working with her would be so remarkable and memorable.
Nadia took the time to truly get to know us, and her thoughtfulness shone through in every interaction. It’s clear from her communication that she cares deeply about her clients and the world around her. We felt completely at ease and knew we were in the best hands.
On our wedding day, I was so grateful for her calm, positive presence. She kept the energy light and fun, offering just the right amount of direction while allowing us to be naturally ourselves. The photos blew us away and we are beyond happy with what she delivered and so grateful for what she brought to our wedding day beyond her cameras.
She is the kind of small business that truly deserves to thrive. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
Hiring Nadia as our wedding photographer for our wedding was the BEST decision we made! If you are on the fence to book her, please do, you will not be disappointed. Her speedy res...
ponses, calm, light-hearted and professional manner, and overall, friendly demeanor was exactly what we needed in a photographer. She is our favorite vendor we worked with and one of the few I did not have to track down to get a response. She genuinely gets to know you and your partner to ensure your photos are exactly what you envision. Having gorgeous outdoor photos that captured the beautiful scenery of our wedding ceremony was the most important thing to me for my big day and I as I started my search for a micro-wedding photographer who specialized in outdoor adventure photography, I was quickly overwhelmed but set at ease when I came across Nadia. From the initial video consult, I knew Nadia’s personality, structured organization and kindness was a perfect match for us. We are both shy people who do not like to be the center of attention, let alone enjoy people taking our photos, so having a photographer we were comfortable with was extremely important. We booked an engagement session so we could meet Nadia before and get photos at the coast. We were on the fence if we needed to book an engagement shoot but we are SO HAPPY we did. I would recommend this 100%. Not only did we get to know Nadia in a more casual setting, but she got to know us and what kind of photos we liked. This gave us a good practice run so we could start getting comfortable in front of the camera, and our dog, who would be part of our ceremony, enjoyed it as well. When it came time for our wedding, Nadia was the only vendor I was not worried about. Leading up to day, she was always in communication with us (including both me and my husband on all emails which I appreciate), checking to ensure we were all on the same page and happy with the timeline. And oh, the timeline! Nadia makes the day run so smooth and stress free because she already did all the research and homework ahead of time! As a very organized, thorough person, this made me so happy and knew she had everything under control. She was always available when we had questions or concerns and would reply to our emails within the day. She listened to what our vision for the day was and always kept that in mind. When shooting, she shot photos we requested as well as spots she knew would look great. Our first look and private vows were our most important photos for the day and we decided to do about a mile hike so we can get some action shots in the forest. It was a rainy Oct day and we were covered in mud and freezing but Nadia never once complained. She followed us and got dirty because she knew these were the photos we were looking for. When we had about 30 mins left with her at the end of the night, she checked in to make sure there were no last minute photos we wanted before heading out which I appreciated so much. Once we received our photos back we were blown away by how beautiful they were. The photos instantly brought smiles and tears to our eyes as we reminisced about the memories we had from that day. Our day was what it was thanks to Nadia and I know she will be our go-to photographer for every occasion moving forward. Overall, if you are thinking about hiring Nadia - DO IT! You will not regret it. I could not speak more highly of her professionalism, kindness, organization, familiarity, and of course, her talent!
Nadia went above and beyond all expectations of a wedding photographer. We were fortunate to have her photograph our engagement session and outdoor wedding with ~140 guests. After...
going through the whole wedding planning experience, we were so grateful for how helpful she was in so many different ways. While we had a wedding coordinator, that didn't stop Nadia from helping us plan our day from the very first meeting (i.e. recommending DJ's, small businesses in the Portland area, and other vendors). She was always available to answer our questions, talk through timelines, and help us with decision making. Most importantly, the photos were INCREDIBLE!! We love them so much as they truly capture our perfect day and will give us a lifetime of memories to look back on. We simply could not recommend Nadia enough!!
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between co...
uples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately.
We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process.
On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits.
Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend.
I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.
Nadia is by far one of the most amazing individuals we have ever worked with. From the very start she was attentive, caring, professional and really created an experience we didn't...
even know we wanted!!! The questions she asked to help us dream about our perfect engagement photo shoot and wedding day, which literally came to life. We didn't even know we wanted an engagement photoshoot and now this is one of our most cherished memories. We felt incredibly comfortable and connected the entire time along with precious moments I didn't even know could be captured. On our wedding day, she was so incredibly organized, she kept us moving without feeling rushed and we even got the little moments away from all of the activity to be together and really soak up our day. The photos are stunning, as we looked over them we could feel the emotion we were feeling on our wedding day, you can't make that up. We cannot recommend her more - if you don't book with her, you're missing out not only on beautiful memories but also getting to meet one of the most kind individuals to walk this planet!
Nadia was a joy to work with! Out of all our vendors, she was the most consistent with communication and the most helpful with referrals for anything we needed. She checked in with...
us even when there wasn't a deadline looming. She was super friendly, relatable and an AMAZING photographer. We are not very comfortable taking pictures and she made it very easy for us to be in the moment. We 100% recommend her for your special day or any event you have.
When my husband and I started out the wedding planning experience we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Not only were we doing an elopement but we were traveling over...
1,000 miles to do so. We looked at many photography sites on google and Venture Ever after stood out to us. We like the vibes of the pictures and the give back part of the packages. We had our first phone meeting with Nadia in the early stages of planning and she made us both feel so comfortable about our visions and expectations. She did so much scouting at our dream location which as helpful because we weren’t going to be able to see it before the wedding. Nadia is so warm and makes you feel like you have been life long best friends. She is also extremely professional and exceptional at her craft. Our wedding day had an unexpected guest, Mother Nature, but she took it in strides. She braved the freezing cold on top of a mountain with us. She brought gloves with warmers for me and even extra blankets. She is so thoughtful. She really saved the day and came up with great ideas for new plans since the weather did not cooperate. I would and have recommended her to all of my friends.
Nadia was our (amazing) wedding photographer for our wedding in May 2023. It is with full gratitude to her skill, creativity, professionalism, and diligence, not to mention, warm f...
riendship, that we write this *very positive* review of her.
Nadia absolutely rocks at every stage of the game. In a few cases, when working with a vendor during our wedding planning process, we found challenge with communication, thoughtfulness, and at times, a sense of value in what we were paying for. Not at one time did we have the slightest of these feelings with Nadia. Nadia carried herself with grace and professionalism throughout the entire wedding planning, day-of, and post-wedding activities. This is so important, believe us! :-). For any couple planning to, or about to, go through the wedding planning process, you will quickly come to appreciate Nadia’s talent and dedication to making your special day ever more special, as well as, brilliantly captured as a memory of a lifetime. Not to mention, she will also help you calm down, breathe, and remind you, it is “your” special day.
At first, we had some challenge with finding a wedding photographer. It was an immediate connection when we met Nadia. We knew that she was the one. This came from her pre-wedding planning, getting to know us, how her style would work well for our wedding plan and venue, and just in general, the high-quality content she has produced. One piece of advice I have given couples who are about to get married is that they need to find a photographer that will capture them, their special day, and allow that story to be written through the photos for years to come. That photographer is Nadia, and we cannot say enough about what a great photographer she is.
If you are on the fence about investing in a photographer for your wedding, remember this… after all the decorations have been put away, after all the guests have gone home, and all the cake has been eaten, what remains the most is the love you have with your partner and the photos of your special day. Think ahead to the years of anniversaries that will have flown by and that you’ll always want to be able to tell your story about your wedding. Someday to your children, their children, and friends and family that could not be in attendance. You want that special day to be alive. No better way that to have emotional and intimate photographs of your wedding that keep that memory alive. You just need to have the right photographer to create them and Nadia is just the right photographer.
Thank yourself in the future and go with Nadia as your PNW Wedding Photographer.
Best,
Jeff & Sherryi.

e beginning she made the experience personal to us as a couple and made a genuine connection with us. Nadia is your wilderness and adventure guide, a jokester when you're feeling camera shy, and someone you can put your trust in to capture memories that you'll have for a lifetime. We would recommend her to anyone who wants to make their day about spending quality time together making new memories outdoors!

ther totally washed out or too dark and her work was the perfect middle ground. She ended up being my first and only choice after a long search on multiple wedding vendor websites. From the first call, she was so easy to talk to and I could tell she would be easy to work with too. I especially liked her stance on inclusivity in the wedding industry and her appreciation of nature and valuing our environment. She was also helpful when I had random questions while in the process of planning the wedding.
Our photos turned out absolutely amazing. She captured all the beauty of our venue, floral, and everything else yet also let our personalities show through the photos. Our reception was held indoors and I was initially concerned that it would be super obvious that a lot of flash was used, like indoor pictures are prone to do, but everything looked so natural. All our guests and family LOVED the photos too and I can't stop looking at all of them.
We also did engagement photos with Nadia which turned out just as well. We visited some gorgeous areas along the Oregon Coast for those pictures. I honestly never would have visited the specific area we went to unless we had someone like Nadia suggesting it to us so I loved appreciating the scenery through her view, so to speak.
All in all, you will absolutely not regret hiring Venture Ever After for your own wedding!

Nadia went above and beyond to not just photograph our special day- but also helped plan! She provided us with location suggestions or our engagement photo session and one of her floral suggestions ended up being our perfect florist. She also drafted a timeline for our wedding when we were stumped based on the photography needs that we were able to modify to easily build out our day without hassle!
Nadia was highly communicative throughout the entire process and never skipped a beat. She even sent gifts/treats throughout the process - it was such a heartfelt experience working with Nadia that felt like so much more than booking a photography service.
On the day of, Nadia was professional and fun - both mingling and fading to the back of the crowd. Her photos of our wedding day came out absolutely stunning and we are so grateful to have them for the rest of our lives <3
Going into a small and intimate wedding, we knew our photographer was going to be one of the most important choices we made, and choosing Nadia ended up being the BEST decision we ...
made. She made the entire process effortless and fun, and she was there for us every step of the way. As a LGBTQ+ couple, her clear display of support for all love made her stand out to us immediately, and the way she treated us from the day we first emailed her until now makes it clear that she is the #1 ally we have ever met.
This was a destination wedding for us, so Nadia’s experience and expertise in photographing couples in the PNW was even more valuable to us. We would be in the midst of planning and would think, “Huh I wonder about *insert any wedding question or issue here*” and we would wake up the next morning to an email from Nadia covering all of the topics we had discussed privately and hadn’t even asked her yet. She is just that on top of things and is always one step ahead of her clients throughout the entire process. She is THAT GOOD. All jokes aside, any time we did have questions or need advice, she would get back to us quickly with such thorough and thoughtful answers that really proved we were more than just clients to her. She cares like a friend and her attention to detail is astonishing.
From an amazing engagement photo shoot that took up her entire Sunday, which yielded the most stunning photos that brought tears to our eyes, to the most memorable wedding day spent with her prioritizing our wishes as a couple, we could not recommend Nadia enough. She made us both feel comfortable to be ourselves in front of the camera and did an amazing job highlighting our love.
For anybody who is looking into hiring Nadia to capture your special day, this is your sign to DO IT!! You will not find anybody better. She goes above and beyond in every way and truly made our experience the most memorable. We are not from the PNW, but Nadia was so amazing that we now joke we will fly her to us any time we need photos taken in the future.

planning is so incredibly stressful but we never once stressed about our photos thanks to her attention to detail, thorough planning and constant communication. Not only is Nadia a great planner and communicator, but she is so incredibly talented behind the lens! We absolutely loved how our photos turned out. They really captured our authentic selves and genuine moments throughout the day. People we didn’t even know have looked at the photos and said they’d “never seen such genuine joy construed through wedding photos.” Every moment was captured beautifully and we’ll be obsessing over these photos and the smooth sailing day for the rest of our lives.
When we first met Nadia for our engagement photos we knew right away she was perfect for the job. If you are looking for an adventurous photographer who's down for a hike or a run ...
in the rain she's the one. Thank you so much for everything!
Take it from this wedding planner: Hire Nadia.
Beyond being a very talented photographer, she's also a good human being.
I know this because I've worked with Nadia both as a plan...
ner and as a wedding industry professional trying to change our industry.
We first met in a class about accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion in our industry. We continued to cross paths through similar classes over the course of two years until, in May 2022, we finally got a chance to work together in-person.
This wedding wasn't easy. It was torrential downpours and fully outdoors save a couple of tents. And you know where Nadia was the whole time? Right out there alongside me in the pouring rain, showing up for the couple, their guests, and our fellow vendors.
Throughout, she centered the couple and their joy, giving them time and space to feel all of the wonderful feels. This care and professionalism is rare and it is special so again: Hire Nadia.

ement time. Nadia came highly recommended by fellow photographers in the PNW area. I contacted her and she replied promptly. It was so refreshing that we were able to chat with Nadia over the phone to talk about our options for the engagement photo session. Nadia sent us a questionnaire to get to know us and understand our vision, passions, and our story as a couple. She gave us options and kept in contact leading up to our session with her. Nadia sent us a "care package" to help us prepare for our session (so Sweet). Nadia ensured the location for our photo session was doable ahead of time and sent us a list of alternate locations. My fiance is not a photo type person but our session with her was so fun. It felt like we were all hanging out with an old friend. We felt totally at ease during our session. Nadia helped us realize our vision for our engagement photos and the results were amazing. Our photos were amazing thanks to Nadia. Even after our session we received such a thoughtful gift from her. I can't thank her enough for our experience and her expertise. She just transitioned and added more services to her business... i can't recommend anyone better to capture your special moments than Nadia!!!

I also received compliments from other vendors about how wonderful she was to work with too! On top of her support throughout the wedding process, she took the most beautiful/incredible photo's. I have gotten endless compliments on our wedding pictures and I cannot thank her enough for all she did for us. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

We received email updates, gifts and so much support that made us confident we were in good hands from day one. Her website and email notifications are beautiful and easy to navigate, and most of all, Nadia has a real skill when it comes to communicating and collaborating with other vendors. If you are looking for a high-quality photographer worth every penny to ensure your day lives on forever in your photos, you do not have to look any further.

If you want a photographer who really cares, is an excellent communicator, and takes amazing pictures, Nadia is the one for you!
Nadia is nothing less than exceptional! If you do not use her for your wedding, you will come to regret it!
I have worked with numerous photographers through my job, all of whom ...
were great. However, Nadia stands out - she was the best photographer I have ever hired.
From our initial call with her to post-wedding, she went above and beyond. She is an excellent communicator, professional, a logistical wiz, incredibly talented, and the warmest, kindest person to work with.
There just are not enough words to possibly describe how amazing every photo that Nadia snapped. She has mastered her craft. She has a magical way of finding the perfect angle, lighting, and captured moments that my husband and I will treasure forever.

She spoiled us with her thoughtfulness and treats through the mail. We cannot wait for our next opportunity to work with Nadia.

We had a very small wedding, ...

We were not sure we even wanted a photographer, but our friends told us it was their biggest regret. So we decided to get the best, and she captured the special moments so well.

gle person we spent the most time with on our wedding day. She is a wonderful human who has an incredible knack for capturing all the special moments while staying out of the way of them. Some photographers don't understand that it's not about them - Nadia is the complete opposite. She added to the fun on our wedding day by just being her, and her time management and planning support were a huge stress reliever. And wow - her photos are AMAZING. My husband and I are both perfectionistic designers with a combined 30 years of experience between us - we don't hand out aesthetic compliments unless they're well deserved. Nadia also provides super responsive customer service. I seriously don't know where she finds the time to do all she does and do it so well. All I know is how grateful we are that we chose her (and we say that to each other and our friends/family frequently!). Choose Nadia.
Nadia was so wonderful to work with. Her photography talent is amazing and evident in her galleries, but it's hard to find someone that is as professional and experienced as her. S...

ad a few last minute issues with other vendors and she was incredibly flexible and accomodating when I had to change a few plans. The wedding day had a lot of moving parts, and she went above and beyond to understand everything that was going to happen so she could capture all the important moments for us. And her photos are stunning!

nd the moments perfectly. She is professional, friendly, and has an energy about her which made everything fun and feel effortless. She responded quickly to all our questions and took the time to provide tips for our timeline. We went in looking for a photographer and came out of the experience with a friend. I would recommend her to anyone looking for wedding photos or any type of photography she does.
Put simply, our wedding day would not have been the same if Nadia wasn't our photographer! Nadia made taking photos so fun, easy and quick. She captured all our intimate, laughter,...
joyful and so many other moments that I will forever cherish.
Nadia is a breeze to work with. She was quick getting back to us and always very clear of what was needed to make sure nothing fell behind. Oh and did I mention the images are BEAUTIFUL?! We did both an engagement session and our wedding photos through Nadia and each set were stunning. She knows what she's capturing and how to capture it.
If you are looking for a wedding/engagement photographer I 100% recommend her.
Working with Nadia was such a wonderful experience! My husband and I had an intimate elopement ceremony on the Oregon Coast, and we wanted a photographer to capture our special mom...
ent. We had originally picked out a different photographer, but we ended up cancelling plans with them, as we were starting to feel like we were getting lesser service and lesser care because we were a smaller budget job (i.e. not a "typical" wedding).
Nadia was recommended by a friend, and when she responded to my initial email, I immediately knew she was the one. She was very thoughtful, responsive, and attentive to our needs and wishes. Even though we were a smaller-budget job and only needed a photographer for a couple of hours, she made us feel just as taken care of as if we were doing the full wedding thing.
She captured our special day exactly as we wanted, and we could not have asked for more!
I've really enjoyed working with Nadia. She's is a true artist and professional. She delivers an amazing product and is warm hearted, passionate, and sincere. Nadia is just a great...

munication and clearly cares that her clients feel comfortable and informed. The photos of my wedding are beautiful and I feel that they perfectly capture the energy and happiness of the day - it’s a joy to look at them and see everyone’s faces. We let her know that we wanted plenty of candids of our guests having a good time and she definitely delivered. Nadia has also been extremely patient with us while we choose our album photos (something that is taking far longer than I thought it would) and her understanding has been greatly appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Nadia to anyone else looking for a wedding photographer, or any type of photography that she does. She’s just fantastic.

h our four legged fur-child
We hired Nadia Joyce Photography for our engagement and wedding photos and she did not disappoint! For our engagement photos we traveled up to Trillium Lake where my spouse proposed. She was very eager and extremely creative. She even made my reluctant fiance (at the time) blossom under the camera and got him to genuinely smile. She was warm, friendly, and made both of us at ease (not to mention our German Shepherd!). For our wedding she met and surpassed every expectation. She was engaging with all of our guests and worked amazing with our four legged fur child. She captured moments I never even thought to request. It's been a year and our wedding pictures now scroll across my desktop background and still bring tears of joy and happiness to my eyes. We will being using Nadia Joyce for all our future photography needs!

that love shines through the photos she takes. She puts her heart and soul into every photo! We had so much fun working with her. She is engaging and encouraging, especially if you're not great in front of the camera. She makes all your insecurities melt away and feel at ease. Her exuberance while she's taking photos is infectious and you will be beaming after spending time with her. She is extremely professional, organized and straight forward about everything you should expect from her. I cannot say enough about her. Our experience was completely perfect and I will cherish the photos forever. I plan to hire her every time I need a photographer. Do yourself a favor and hire her! You will not be sorry.
