The food was good, which is why we chose them; however, if we had known how hard it would be to work with them and how they would disappoint us on our wedding day, we would've book...
ed someone else.
A few days before the wedding, we spoke with Muriel, who told us we would need to provide our own cups for the aguas frescas and our own napkins since they didn't provide linen napkins anymore. We agreed to this although we had been told BOTH linen napkins and cups would be provided in the past, and we just wanted our wedding to go as smooth as possible.
At the end of our wedding, our planner said that we had been charged $90 for linen napkins and that they had been forgotten by their team. Someone from their team went and bought paper napkins and used those instead. My now husband personally set the napkins and the cups on the tables before they arrived at the venue, but when we contacted Verde Cocina about reimbursing us, they denied this and said we had not been charged for this. There is A LOT of miscommunication within their team.
We had also been told we would have handmade tortillas, and we did not have those. This had been an IMPORTANT factor when we decided to go with Verde Cocina, so it was EXTREMELY disappointing not to have them. Our guests kept asking about them.
Lastly, left overs from dinner were supposed to be packed up for us to take home, but no food was left. My planner followed up, and she was told by Red that they did not have to go boxes. There was A LOT of food left over. If this was thrown away, it deeply saddens me. We followed up to get an explanation, and they said they had concerns about food sitting out too long; however, WE HAD A GIANT FRIDGE ON SITE where the food could have gone in, which is what they were supposed to do.
We understood that things had been hectic since they got scammed by one of their workers, and we tried to be understanding, but throwing away the food that we paid for is not okay. If they had COMMUNICATED that they didn't have the containers for left overs (that they should've had) someone in our family could have quickly gotten some.
Every time we spoke to someone from their team, it was a different person. There was so much uncertainty and changes leading up to our wedding, and according to my planner, there was uncertainty the day of the wedding as well.
They also moved our guest tables during our wedding when they shouldn't have. There was a specific order to have family closer and they messed up that order with important people sitting in the back.
They also offered to cut our cake (we did not ask, our planner was planning on it), and then they threw that in our face when we reached out about the leftovers.
Go eat at their restaurant, you won't regret that, BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND BOOKING THEM AS YOUR CATERER.

Amazing local food. Arro is great to work with during the booking process. There was some confusion wherein tables were going to be provided but then they never showed up and the b...
artender insisted that the vendor doesn't provide tables despite being assured otherwise. We had an extra table, so it worked out. Food was put into the togo containers a bit haphazardly. But other than that, it was a pleasant experience and the steak was amazing.
