Our guests could not stop talking about how good their meals were and the dessert bar was excellent. I also have to say this is one of the best values in the area. The price for site rental and food was very reasonable, but keep in mind it is 30 mins away from Scottsdale so it’s likely you will need transportation for your guests if you have a lot from out of town. They also have a great spa where we had our mani/pedis the day before and our hair/makeup done the day of. Now the cons - we booked the venue in January 2021 and over the year and 2 months of planning they had 3 different coordinators, with Shannon joining the team 6 weeks before our wedding. Communication throughout was overall not good. For example - I requested to book our rehearsal dinner at the chef’s table in November. A simple 30 minute task of making the reservation and picking the food with us seemed impossible for them. I called and emailed multiple times over the few months and never got answers. Finally I resorted to calling the restaurant manager. Turns out the chef’s table was never reserved for us, and I FINALLY got a menu confirmed…3 days before the rehearsal. Thankfully they gave us a bigger private room and waived the fee, but the added stress was completely unnecessary. I understand that they were trying to catch up after Shannon had just recently joined, and she was very helpful in pulling everything together last minute and was transparent about costs of upgrades which the previous coordinator was not (i.e she didn’t mention the chairs we wanted were $10/each or the napkins were going to cost an extra $500) so Shannon helped us navigate that for much more reasonable pricing. However, the morning of the wedding she did not make contact with us until noon and we felt that the staff’s attention was elsewhere. Our parents had to assist the other staff in setting up the reception tables because they had no communication or idea of what to do, and although people were trying to keep me distracted to minimize stress I could tell it was chaotic. In the end, everything turned out beautiful and the rest of the day went smoothly. If they can communicate better with both couples and staff and maintain their current staff I think the venue will do very well. We ended up having an amazing wedding which is the most important part!

r party flew in from California and had a boho glam themed wedding that turned out incredible. The space is incredible, food is beyond delicious and you feel right at home with the staff. Verde River is TOP KNOTCH!

IOUS food, the staff is beyond friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We had this venue booked 2 years in advanced and have been through a few of the coordinators, but STACEY was an absolute GEM to work with. She has turned this experience around and I honestly wish I can get married here again and again and again! nd beyond for us. The view and Samantha’s hospitality are the main reasons we decided to celebrate our wedding at Verde River Golf and Social Club. Sarah was our coordinator and a true professional. From start to finish she was on top of everything. She brought our vision to life, from meeting at La Tavola Linen, tunnel lighting, venue decor / set up, and the best support through what can be a stressful process. She personally handed my husband and me drinks at our wedding, what more can you ask for? It was the most unforgettable night of our lives because of this team. Sarah, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 10/10 Venue, this venue is a hidden gem. We are obsessed and trust me, it will take your breath away. Trust me when I say, book a tour!10/10 The food, the best wedding food you will ever have. We moved dinner thirty minutes ahead on our wedding day and they accommodated with perfect execution. Two words, butter cake. We had Guests searching for anyone who had not eaten theirs (We served individual butter cakes instead of cake). They also accommodated all dietary restrictions, dairy and multiple vegan meals. 10/10 The service, we never had an empty glass, dirty plate, and our bartender kept a smile on her face with an open bar and rowdy crowd. Our service team was a 10/10 Thank you to everyone at Verde River Golf and Social Club. You made our day absolutely amazing.

ory- I booked this venue for September 2020 and was so excited to have our wedding in February 2021. With Covid -19 going on, I continuously asked if the wedding was still on because myself and 95% of my guest were flying in from out of state. In November, I was asked to cut my guest list down to 100 (our contract said 130), and I was able to do that; even though some of my guests had flights and hotels, it was far enough out for them to get their money back. In the meantime, the venue got a new wedding planner named Sarah that started in December. I went to have my first call with her, and she had to reschedule (15 minutes before) because of poor planning on her part. The next day we talk on the phone, and she was unable to answer many of my questions but was confident to say that our limit was still at 100 people. Then in the first week of January, they called my mother (not me) and told her that we now have to have a 100 % the wedding outside. Since they are not an outdoor venue, we had to plan to get lights to decorate and light up the outdoors where dinner and dancing will now be. When we went to meet Sarah to plan what the outdoor wedding would look like, she was a no show again and no email. This brings us to now to January 20th, less than a month away from our wedding, and they call to let me know that I now have to cut my guest list to 50 people. This was NOT a state mandate, and it was just the venue saying they did not want to have 100 people outside in one location because of Covid (the venues around them were able to have up to 200 people inside). With less than a month until my wedding, my guests cannot cancel their VRBO, Airbnb, or hotel reservations without a penalty. Now I am looking for a new venue and starting over a month before my wedding.

We did have to do some changes to accommodate the requirements with the pandemic, but I think it actually worked out better. Our guests are still raving about the service and food from Chicago! If you are looking for a great deal, amazing views and wonderful service I would highly recommend Verde River.

ur guests LOVED how beautiful it was. The mountains, the sky, and the venue grounds were perfect. It's the compliment we have heard the most from our guests. Samantha understood our vision on how we wanted our wedding and she delivered! The event was well organized and we had ZERO stress the day of the wedding. The people that worked the wedding were all SO NICE and they were professional. Samantha was also responsive and flexible the months prior to the wedding and helped us with anything we needed. It was truly wonderful to have had a coordinator with such focus on detail and listened to what we needed.

event vendors were in line and ready. Every one of their staff who have been involved with our wedding went above and beyond with their excellent service. The grounds are gorgeous and the mountain views are breathtaking! The cherry on top is that this place is a one stop for all your needs! Hair and makeup can be done on site by their awesome spa and their catering is top notch. So many of our guests have told us how beautiful this place is and how this has been one of the best weddings they've attended. Thank you guys for our perfect day!!
