Multiple times at our wedding and after, our guest came up to us to tell us that the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding. Katie and the team at Vermont Farms did an incredible job. Our wedding was in a field, so there were a few logistical hurdles, but all the catering staff took it in stride and provided an incredible charcuterie table, cocktails, and buffet meal for our guests. The halibut and olives in tomato sauce and prime rib were especially big hits. Our tasting was also delicious and fun! While during the busy wedding season, VT Farm Catering were a little hard to get in touch with, ultimately they delivered on everything they promised and more. Would highly recommend.

Vermont Farms made the best food we have ever had at a wedding, and I am not saying that just because it was our wedding. Everything from the apps to the desert was delicious. Their staff was professional and took care of everything on the day of the event. The tasting was done at the Pittsfield general store, which was a ton of fun as well! Overall, I highly recommend them, they have to be the best caterers in the state.

VT Farms Catering is an absolute must have for a wedding or special event. They were recommended to us by our venue, the Trailside Inn, and the food quality and service were exceptional for our wedding. Kevin and Katie were extremely easy to work with and made sure every last detail was taken care of, including a customized menu and a number of dietary restrictions for our guests. Our guests raved nonstop about how good the food was! By far our favorite experience during wedding planning was getting to do our tasting at their restaurant, the Backroom. It’s a beautiful little gem in Pittsfield and the food was outstanding. World class experience in Vermont!

Our guests just CANNOT stop talking about the food at our wedding - it was truly the highlight of our event. From the moment we had our tasting, I could tell Vermont Farms was the best choice we could have made for our wedding. As someone who has previously worked in food and beverage I have high standards - but Kevin and Katie exceeded them by a mile. The day of our wedding we were so pleased to see that everything translated so well from the tasting to the actual event itself. Kevin, Katie and team were consummate professionals throughout the process, and stuck with us through all the date changes we experienced due to COVID. In my opinion, you can't do much better than Vermont Farms for your Vermont wedding.

My wife and I are so grateful to Vermont Farms Catering for the amazing food and service at our wedding. The food was absolutely incredible—if we could, we would order our entire menu again for a private dinner. Some highlights included Butternut Squash Arancini, Miniature Lobster Rolls, and Stout-Braised Short Ribs with Pumpkin Risotto, Sage, and Crispy Potatoes. The service was also amazing. My wife and I had heard that the bride and groom rarely eat at their own wedding—we are so happy that we did!

Katie and Kevin were wonderful to work with! The food at our wedding was absolutely amazing and our guests could not stop talking about everything from the appetizers to the drinks to dinner and of course dessert. If you are considering VFC you will not be disappointed!

ABSOLUTELY HANDS DOWN THE BEST CATERING TEAM IN VERMONT!! We are honestly not sure where to even start. We knew after our first phone call that Kevin and Katie were superior to anyone else. After the tasting (which completely exceeded our expectations) We knew we could not have chosen anyone better. They truly made our wedding, without a doubt, we owe it all to them. Our guests RAVED about their food and service all night long. We had majority of our guest (165+) reach out and the first thing they commented on was how absolutely delish the food was...we even had some newly engaged couples ask if they would travel all the way to NYC!!! They listened to us, accommodated any wishes we had, and executed everything to pure perfection. To a variety of delish flavors, to presentations that made you stop and take a picture first...everything was perfect! We can not thank them enough, we are forever grateful that we chose Vermont Farms Catering for our big day. We will be visiting their restaurant "The Backroom" in Pittsfield, VT every year. Definitely book VFC as your wedding caterer! Hands down the BEST food we've ever had at a wedding! Katie and Kevin were amazing through the planning process. My husband and I were married in August at Riverside Farm, and our friends are STILL talking about that gnocchi! From the hors d'oeuvres to the customized mixed drinks, our friends and family were WELL taken care of. If I were to make one suggestion, it's that staff take the time to bring hors d'oeuvres directly to the bride and groom (not just the bridal party), since my husband and I didn't get the chance to have any. But overall, everything was so elegant and timed perfectly. I would 10/10 recommend booking them and choosing the gnocchi as your vegetarian option! If I could, I would drive the 2.5 hours daily for them to cook me dinner!

People have still not stopped raving about the food from our wedding. We were recommended VFC by our venue (Trailside Inn) and right from the get go we knew we had found the perfect caterers for our special day. Kevin and Katie make an INCREDIBLE team. Kevin's food is, in a word, perfect. We were seeking a specific "vibe" for the wedding, and he made sure that we not only had food to match, but that it all was unbelievably delicious. No one who came to the tasting knew that they liked succotash before they tried his. Katie's coordination via email and of the staff at the event made everything run seamlessly. And the staff they had at our wedding were so kind, helpful and sweet. The catering staff checked up on us regularly throughout the evening, and their kindness was mentioned by several of our guests. We literally couldn't have asked for anything more, and we definitely got more than we knew to ask for.

The food was excellent quality, beautifully presented and they worked with us to create a menu that was exactly what we wanted. Would hire again for any event in the future!

If you want happy and well-fed guests, hire Vermont Farms Catering! We came to them with a menu idea -- an elevated summer picnic to match our barn wedding venue -- and they executed it perfectly. Our stationary appetizer spread was a thing of beauty and featured delicious local cheeses and meats. Our guests raved about the meal, especially the succotash, during the reception and afterwards many divulged they went back for seconds and thirds! The waitstaff was also so, so kind and attentive. When a guest had to leave before dinner due to a health issue, the Vermont Farms Catering team packed up a to-go box for them. Kevin & Katie are the best caterers in the Upper Valley!

We worked with VFC for our wedding reception. We originally had planned to get married in 2020. Our initial venue fell through, and we had to change the date. Katie and Kevin were extremely accommodating and easy going regarding our new plan. We knew from the moment we met them at our tasting in Pittsfield, that they would take great care of us. They brought Doug and I an individual appetizer plate to make sure we ate. Also, I was busy making the round, they boxed up my meal for me and wrote the sweetest note on top! I ended up devouring it on the dance floor! Not only are they extremely kind and generous, but the food was unbelievable. My husband and I had so many people tell us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Definitely a highlight of our wedding! We can't wait to visit them again at the Backroom.

We used VFC for catering and bartending at our wedding reception 5/22/21. From start to finish, Kevin and Katie were exceptional to work with. We started our wedding planning just as COVID hit and all email communications were prompt, thorough, and professional. When COVID forced us to cancel our large reception at an inn and plan one within state guidelines, they were flexible and adventurous as they adapted to our new plan - which involved cooking and serving at a small private venue in the woods up a class 4 road! They were conscious of our budget and even helped me plan tableware (we used both rentals and compostable plates, reusable cups). They arrived at the venue eager to help with set up. Presentation of the bar, charcuterie station, appetizers and meals were detailed and beautiful. Their staff were beyond attentive - without even asking, we had our own personal appetizer plate and on multiple occasions someone brought me a drink when they noticed it was empty. And then, to top it all off, the food was AMAZING! Nothing but positive comments from all our guests. I would highly recommend them for wedding events.

Vermont Farms Catering hosted our engagement dinner and it was more than we could have ever hoped for. I wish I could attach a photo of the menu and the dishes because they were incredibly well done. There isn’t praise effusive enough to express how fantastic Kevin and Katie are! My wife and I have always known good food and drink would be the most important part of our wedding, but we couldn’t have imagined a caterer as perfect as VT Farms Catering. We booked Kevin and Katie last summer after a tasting that absolutely eclipsed every other caterer we tried for a planned October 2020 wedding of about 120 people. When it became clear earlier this summer as the pandemic was spreading that the wedding we had imagined was no longer viable, Kevin and Katie graciously worked with us to alter the event, radically downsizing the party to just a small group of family and friends, and hosting us in their own beautiful private restaurant “The Backroom”, instead of the larger venue we had originally booked. Every aspect of the evening was perfect, with incredibly delicious food, wine, and cocktails, a thoughtful menu that felt personal to both brides and gracefully accommodated our several guests with dietary restrictions, and warm, attentive service. There is simply no one we could recommend more strongly to cater any event, and we look forward to collaborating with Katie and Kevin again for a larger wedding reception in the future and we hope for many celebrations after that!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kevin, Katie, and their team at Vermont Farms Catering. Our engagement party was just one of many fantastic experiences with this group! We have been fortunate to enjoy their delicious food on multiple occasions at The Backroom, in addition to witnessing their incredible catering service in action at my sister’s June 2019 wedding in Pittsfield. All of their food is outstanding, and I’m consistently amazed by both the creativity of their menus and the quality of their service. One element that made our engagement dinner particularly special was the fact that they created a unique menu geared toward my fiancé’s and my pescatarian diet. Their craft cocktails as well as the champagne, wine & beer selection are always on point. Once again Vermont Farms exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't have imagined a more perfect way to toast the evening of our engagement!

When my now husband and I set out to plan our wedding, we knew that food was a top priority for us. Katie and Kevin at Vermont Farms Catering came highly recommended and we could not be more pleased with our experience and the service they provided on our wedding day at the Trailside Inn back in October 2019. We were so lucky to have Vermont Farms Catering for our wedding in Dorset, VT last July. Kevin & Katie (and their extended staff) were so kind and accommodating - simply wonderful to work with. Kevin, Katie and their entire Vermont Farms Catering team were absolutely incredible!! They catered our entire wedding weekend (al fresco rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and Sunday brunch) and every single aspect blew our exceptions away. They were beyond accommodating with all of our special requests & wishes for each event and made them all possible (including mini patron bottles for our signature drinks)! People say you don't eat on your wedding night, but their team made SURE my husband and I (and both sets of parents) were given extra attention so we could enjoy all of the amazing food and drinks. Our guests did not stop raving about the food all weekend, and providing family style for over 170 is no easy task! I can not say enough wonderful things about VFC and would hire them over and over if I could!

From custom cocktails and hand picked wines to unforgettable cocktail hour bites to the best wedding reception food I’ve ever had, these guys delivered. Vermont Farms Catering was absolutely fantastic! My husband and I were married at Trailside Inn in Killington in Sept 2019. Trailside does not have a kitchen onsite, but you would never know based on the food that was served throughout our day! Our guests are still talking about the food that was served at our reception and cocktail hour. Katie and Kevin went above and beyond when first providing us with a food tasting. They created our dream menu and we knew right away they were the best duo for the job. If you are hosting a wedding or event in VT, I HIGHLY recommend Vermont Farms. They will not disappoint!

Good food was our number one wedding priority-- and Vermont Farms Catering NAILED it. I really appreciated that they could speak to all of the responsible, local sources and vendors of each of their VT ingredients. We hired them for everything including custom cocktails/bartending, through appetizers that everyone raved about, and a dinner that even a professional chef that we had as a guest complimented as "the absolute right way to make delicious food for a crowd." They also made our wedding cake -- everyone was literally lining up to get slices as soon as they emerged from out of the kitchen because their dinner was so amazing! Wish I could give 6 stars.

Run, don’t walk to hire Vermont Farms Catering for your event. Seriously, Kevin and his team are amazing. The food is simply incredible, and they are a dream to work with. Our wedding included foodies to picky eaters and absolutely everyone loved the food. I, personally, find myself somewhere in the middle -- not terribly adventurous and I have foods I generally stay away from. Kevin is so good that he created dishes during our tasting that I never would order on my own but ended up adding to our wedding menu because of how he prepared it. I also can’t say enough about the staff. They were awesome day of – making sure my husband and I ate and that the whole service process went off without a hitch.

I am not sure how to even begin this review as there are so many things I want to say about how wonderful Vermont Farms Catering is. We used VT Farms for food, drink, and even our cake! They delivered on all fronts. Kevin and Katie are a dream team. They are responsive, accommodating, and some of the nicest people you will meet. They worked with us to create a menu that was unique to us and represented who we are as a couple. They created a custom grilled cheese bites with tomato soup shooters for us as well as late night pretzel bites (because we love pretzels). Their wait staff was incredibly friendly and professional. They brought us our own plate of all of the appetizers to make sure that we didn't miss out due to photos and getting caught in conversation. Various members of the waitstaff also kept checking in with us to make sure that we had gotten enough to eat and to offer to bring us whatever we needed. I felt so taken care of. Now on to the food. Bottom line: I have never had better food at a wedding, or really anywhere, for that matter. I still dream about the short ribs and the miso bacon. We had our meal served family style. The meals were all served around the same time and everything was the perfect temperature. The cake they made for us was charmingly rustic as well as delicious and was far cheaper than hiring a baker. The late night pretzel bites were a huge hit and one of my favorite moments was watching the server dance her way through the crowd offering pretzel bites to people! If you are looking for a caterer in the VT/NH area, look no further! They are worth every penny (and are reasonably priced), and your belly and guests will thank you.

I cannot put into words how incredible the food was at our 10/27/18 Riverside Farm wedding - and it was all because of Katie, Kevin, and their amazing staff. Our guests are STILL talking about the food months later - everything was spectacular. There is nothing worse than being at a gorgeous wedding with mediocre food (or not enough food!), but Vermont Farms Catering offered our guests loads of creative, local, delicious food the throughout the entire weekend. Katie was incredibly responsive in the year leading up to our wedding, and was so patient with us as we peppered her with a million little questions about the food for our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, reception, and sunday brunch. Their attention to detail was incredible - and they accommodated every single thing we asked for, and offered creative ideas for things we hadn't even thought of! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Unbelievable experience for us and for our guests. Vermont Farms Catering catered our rehearsal dinner and our reception with tremendous success. For the rehearsal dinner we challenged them to ditch the standard style of dinner and go with a buffet-style pig roast. This was such a tremendous hit that 2 weeks later people are still asking me how we pulled it off. That night Katie brought over some homemade marshmallows for smores and they were unreal. I may have gained 5 lbs that night alone. The cocktail hour and reception were just as phenomenal. They even let us get creative during the reception and have the sides in a family style setup to make the whole night more fun while providing everyone their meals. Oh and did I mention that all the food was AMAZING?! They knocked everything out of the park and their service staff was courteous, respectful, and very accommodating.

I can’t say enough about Vermont Farms Catering. The food was amazing and service impeccable. Working with Katie was so pleasant as she is professional and knows how to run your event. I asked for her suggestions for the meals and everything was delicious. The team arrived at the house, did their magic, and cleaned up as if they were never there.

Kevin and Katie are incredible. From our first phone call to follow-up tasting and the many emails after that, these guys were thoughtful, kind and professional and their guidance was invaluable. The cocktail hour food and drinks were all excellent. How do they make the most perfectly cooked dime sized cheeseburger... we will never know... Our guests could not stop raving about their dinners. All 230 entrees were cooked beautifully, were so tender and fresh and just gorgeous. The staff was wonderful and beyond attentive. If we could do it all again we would hire them in a heartbeat. We’ve all been to weddings where the food was good, but not especially memorable. Vermont Farms Catering will completely change your expectations for off-site catered events. The food at our wedding was absolutely perfect in preparation, presentation, quality and quantity. We were married at the Trailside Inn on June 30th and had retained VFC about eight months prior to the event. We had several conference calls and emails with Katie to work out the menu and details of exactly what we envisioned for the event. Throughout the whole planning process Katie was accessible, organized and a pleasure to work with. We were lucky enough to enjoy a meal at their Backroom Restaurant in Pittsfield, VT prior to our tasting so we had two previews of what the food would be like. We have to say, the food at our wedding was every bit as good as the tasting and we have had multiple guests after the wedding commenting that this was the best wedding cuisine that they have ever had. Since our wedding day was more of a wedding weekend at the Trailside Inn, we also retained VFC to provide a welcome dinner BBQ buffet and light breakfast the morning after the wedding. Both of these additional services were also expertly prepared, presented and absolutely delicious. We’ve been trying to replicate their chimmi-churri sauce ever since the event! Essentially, Chef Kevin and Katie can create an appetizer and dinner menu with a wine/beer and cocktail list that is completely your creation and will exceed your expectations. We truly feel fortunate to have been able to work with Kevin and Katie for our wedding and the food is not easily forgotten! Our wedding guests told us this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding reception. We got married at the Trailside Inn, and Vermont Farms Catering was recommended to us by the innkeepers. Katie and Kevin were amazing to work with-- they were very open to our preferences/tastes, and crafted a menu that was seasonal, local, and suited us. The first time we visited Killington, we got a reservation at their restaurant (winter only I think) the Backroom, and the food was absolutely incredible. The next day we came back for a tasting, and it was just my (then) fiance and me with Katie and Kevin. Kevin cooked us everything from the menu right there, and Katie talked us through the details and had us try some wine pairings. The food was delicious (and generous!) and we were feeling confident that it would turn out great. On the day of the wedding, the food was wonderful, and everything went smoothly with the catering staff. They were very friendly and professional. We couldn't be happier! Katie and Kevin and the whole Vermont Farms Catering team is absolutely spectacular. Their food is incredible and their service goes above and beyond. Working with Katie and Kevin leading up to the event was wonderful - they welcomed both sets of parents at separate tastings and were so patient with us as we made edits to the menu. They even incorporated our family-caught salmon into the menu! Then, the night of our welcome dinner we had insane rain, and the Vermont Farms team were such troopers bringing food back and forth across our muddy field to the house. The following day at the wedding, they were energetic, so kind, and overall just blew us away. Our guests could not stop raving about the food all weekend! Just hire them! Easy to work with, with fabulous food using a farm to table concept. Many food choices to fit your budget. Food was beautifully presented and properly cooked so each dish was at its finest. Wedding guests were so complimentary. You will not regret hiring this very professional caterer!

We cannot rave enough about this company. Their food is amazing - we ordered the tartar and taco station for the cocktail hour and our guests kept telling us that they loved these options so much they didn't even need dinner afterwards. We especially recommend the tartar station - insanely good. The buffet dinner was definitely worth waiting for however - every single item was delicious. We only wished afterward that we were hungrier to eat more! The cake and pie bar were also much praised by our guests. There was plenty of food for all our guests. We were also thrilled with the bar services and appreciated their help beforehand choosing local VT beers. However, as grateful as we were for the food, we were completely blown away by how far above and beyond they went to help us out with the organization, set up and tear down of the venue. They brought all the linens and glassware for us and set these up beautifully after setting up the tables in our barn-like venue. Throughout the event, they were constantly setting up areas like the cocktail hour and tearing them down to set up something else, like the buffet. In among all of this, they also managed to bring us food and drinks during the cocktail hour when we were taking pictures. They then tore down some of the tables so we could have an area to dance after dinner and plated extra food for us for afterward. They did this all so smoothly I don't think our guests really realized anything was happening. We absolutely cannot recommend VT Farms Catering enough.

We recently got married at Riverside Farms in Pittsfield VT and the caterer for this venue, is Vermont Farms Catering and we were blown away by the quality of the food, the absolute taste of every cocktail item and the meal was divine! When we told locals we were getting married there, the first thing out of people's mouth that were lucky to attend a wedding there, said how amazing the food was and boy were they right. I can't tell you the number of guests that came up to us raving about the food and how tender and delicious everything was. You don't expect to have the best meal of your life at a wedding ,but that is exactly what you get when you get married at Riverside Farms and have your caterers be Kevin and Katie from Vermont Farms Catering. Lovely married couple, such as joy to be around and their love of food and drinks shines through the ceremony and everything they touch is made with love and prepared perfectly. For 130 people, you would expect things to be cold or to be mass produced. But instead, it felt and tasted like everything made, was made just for you. I will never forget this day and we are so happy that our fondest memories of the day will be the compliments from our guests about the food. Highly recommended.

The incredibly talented duo from Vermont Farms Catering are simply phenomenal! Kevin and Katie wow’ed us, our parents, and all of our guests with a delicious and unique farm to table experience. Katie and Kevin catered our Welcome BBQ, Cocktail Hour, and Reception (with desserts) – as well as the plethora of guests that visited their adorable and beautiful General Store throughout the weekend! Before the big weekend, we spoke to 2-3 couples who worked with VFC and they all RAVED about the food as well as their experience working with Katie and Kevin. VFC pays impeccable attention to the details and presentation of everything they serve. Everything they offered was a visual delight and tasted even better than it looked. They listened to all of our ideas and feedback. They went out of their way to get to know us as a couple which, in turn, translated into a truly personalized catering experience. From the beginning, they made it clear that they wanted our wedding to be filled with the foods and drinks that we loved and helped us to create our perfect menu. We knew they had an extremely busy schedule – especially since our wedding was during prime wedding season – however they were dedicated to making your day perfect and were always available to answer questions or offer suggestions/advice – and their staff was extremely professional, attentive and friendly. I never had to wait or look for someone if I needed something or had a question, someone was always right there, ready and eager to help in any way. Our guests were very impressed with their ability to tend to every need and request. I can’t say enough about VFC but can PROMISE you, you won’t be disappointed! They made our wedding weekend one we will NEVER forget!!!

Let's put it this way, after our tasting with VT Farms, our venue wouldnt "approve" of our catering choice due to some insane personal business strategies, and we decided to lose our deposit on that original venue, and found a new venue so that we could keep VT Farms as our caterer! Thats how amazing they are!! Kevin and Katie helped make our rustic Vermont wedding dream a reality. To say that my wife and I were blown away at our tasting would be the understatement of the century. It wasn't just the fact that it was some of the best food we had ever tasted, but that it so perfectly captured the essence and atmosphere of the fall wedding that we envisioned. While we were thrilled at the menu Kevin created, we were preparing ourselves for a slight letdown in quality when it came time for Kevin to turn those 3 or 4 servings into 130 on our big day. It just didn't seem possible to recreate that on such a large scale. We have never been so happy to be so wrong! The food was the highlight for all our guests, and the presentation, temperature, taste, texture, everything was exactly the same as our original tasting. Kevin is a magician or a wizard. On the service side Katie and her staff were spectacular as well. They were somehow everywhere and yet nowhere, meeting every guests need while still blending in to the background of the event and never missing a beat. I would recommend VFC to any couple, anywhere, no matter what their vision or design. I promise you VFC will be the best decision you make in regards to your wedding (after your choice of spouse, of course!). -Brian

Kevin and Katie are fantastic and their food is amazing! We had several events throughout our wedding weekend so we spent the weekend eating their food. Everything was delicious and the servers were fantastic. We went with a vegetarian menu and everyone raved about the food. The homemade marshmallows for s'mores were a huge hit and are the talk of the town! We would highly recommend Vermont Farms Catering!

We had an absolutely wonderful time working with VT Farms Catering for our wedding. Katie and Kevin played an integral role in our planning process and were extremely helpful throughout the entire wedding weekend -- from the food selections for our Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Party, post-ceremony Cocktail Hour, and Wedding Reception, to the wine/beer/cocktail pairings for the whole weekend, and finally to the serving... they were *great* partners . The tasting was extensive and beyond delicious -- Katie and Kevin prepared a wide range of tasty options that spanned courses/forms/formats/etc. Our families enjoyed the tasting so much that our only concern was how Katie and Kevin would scale our 6-person tasting for a wedding with over 200 guests. On the wedding weekend, execution was flawless and the food was spectacular. Everyone raved about the food, and the Vermont flare and farm-fresh ingredients Katie and Kevin added to the menu made the wedding even more special. We and our families were beyond thrilled and wish we could do it all over again!

Vermont Farms Catering is absolutely fantastic! They were a pleasure to work with in the months leading up to our wedding, came up with great menus, and were relaxed about unforeseen last-minute changes. And most importantly, the food was delicious!! All of our guests are still raving about how amazing the food was at our wedding and how great the caterers were. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Kevin and Katie were above and beyond anything I could have expected from a caterer. From the moment my wife and I were introduced to them they blew us away; first with their professionalism, next with the food at the tasting, and finally the execution at both our welcome party and reception. The food at the tasting was so good that I was concerned they wouldn't be able to replicate it at scale, needless to say my concerns were unwarranted because they nailed it! Our photographer does 30+ weddings per year and here's a direct quote from his Facebook page, "the food was hands down the best wedding food I've ever had." They best thing about Katie and Kevin is that although they are super talented they never try to push their menu on you, they instead strive to create the menu you want and make it great. There is also a lot of personal touch, we wanted to do popcorn at the end of the night so they whipped up truffle oil and parmesan popcorn that people couldn't stop talking about the next day. We didn't want a big wedding cake so we sent Katie a few pics of what we were looking for and she re-created it perfectly. We wanted to serve Heady Topper at the welcome party and reception, which is a pretty tall order by the way, but Kevin personally drove up to Alchemist Brewery and made it happen. Moral of the story is if you're having a wedding in Vermont then Katie and Kevin are your team, don't bother looking for anyone else.

Went to a wedding at Riverside Farm and was blown away with the quality of food these guys provide! I have been to a lot of weddings at a lot of venues, but this was by far the best food we've ever eaten--on par with dining in restaurants in NYC. And then our friends who got married told us the people who ran the company were from NYC and it all made sense. A huge bonus having these guys on board for a rustic venue in a small town.

Kevin and Katie did an incredible job catering our wedding and I can't recommend them highly enough. From our first meeting, we felt very confident in them. They listened to our vision and helped us create an amazing, personalized meal that was absolutely delicious -- we served organic sirloin steak and a New England clambake, and have lost track of how many guests told us afterwards it was the best meal they've ever had at a wedding. Every detail from the specific craft beers we requested to the serving style was meticulous. In addition to the incredible food, were were so impressed and appreciative of their professionalism, skill and flexibility... our reception was at an actual rented barn (not a professional venue) and Kevin and Katie helped us literally create a kitchen and working bar from scratch, serving 100+ guests as though it was a five-star restaurant. Their servers and bartenders were fantastic as well and added to the joyous atmosphere and made our wedding fun and memorable.

Katie and Kevin were a big part of what made our wedding weekend at Riverside Farm so wonderful. From a brief email exchange with only vague guidance, Katie basically gleaned exactly what we wanted to put together a phenomenal menu. When we went for a tasting, I believe it was more just to reassure us that we were in VERY good hands than for us to pick what we wanted, since everything they served was so spot on and delicious--from the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres to dinner options to wine and specialty cocktails (created specially for us by Katie). My parents, who are serious NYC foodies, were totally blown away. All of the guests raved about the food and cocktails. Presentation was beautiful. Even the BBQ comfort food served Friday and breakfast sandwiches on Sunday were amazing. Homemade marshmallows in multiple flavors for gourmet s'mores were a huge hit on Friday night! Their prices were very reasonable, in all dealings they were totally up-front and transparent, and they were a pleasure to work with. All in all, these guys are the best and I'm so happy I was able to work with them for my wedding.

I attended a wedding here and was completely blown away by the venue, food, and attention to detail. The service and menu options were like a 5-star Manhattan restaurant, and all offered in the most surreal, pristine venue that was a blank canvas for the couple's dream-come-true wedding. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an escape/mini-vacation wedding, but without having to compromise on quality while going off-the-grid a bit - not only did it feel like a well-choreographed affair run by a seasoned team, it felt like every moment was orchestrated to the couple's every desire. Bravo!

We actually moved our wedding from a very convenient location for us NYC residents in the Hudson Valley to Vermont because of Vermont Farms Catering and the tasting they provided. Kevin's food is current, fun, flavorful and wonderfully and professionally executed.Katie leads a friendly, competent, confident and engaging staff. Our rehearsal dinner and reception the following night were so far above and beyond our already high expectations. Honestly so many of our guests commented at our wedding and continue to email and message us the food at our reception was not only the best wedding food they have ever had but several guests commented it was one of the best meals they have had anywhere, period. Vermont Farms Catering was the most delicious wedding food I've had, and I'm not just saying that because I was the bride... The creativity and expertise of all the dishes was incredible. All of our guests said their food was spectacular, some of the best they've had. From cocktail hour through dinner, all the food was amazing, so yummy and organic! Their locally grown produce is hard to beat!!

Food was incredible for Deb and Dave's wedding at Riverside Farm (Pittsfield, VT). The staff of VT Farm's Catering was so professional and all the food throughout the weekend was so delicious... local, flavorbombs of goodness. Yum! I loved the 'made from scratch' vibe as well...Totally unexpected at a wedding...and the s'mores station... all the marshmallows were totally and outrageously good with fun flavours that they made for the weekend. Deb and Dave had such an incredible weekend.

AMAZING!! I struggled to write this review because my words can't capture what a wonderful experience it was to work with Katie and Kevin and how delicious their food creations are. It was a pleasure working with Katie and Kevin. If you're planning a wedding, or any event for that matter, in the area, you want Katie and Kevin from Vermont Farms Catering to be there! From our first meeting with Katie to our farewell brunch the morning after our wedding, everything was perfect and stress free. For our food tasting, Katie had listened to everything that we had mentioned during our first meeting and Kevin cooked everything to perfection! After our food tasting, we had dinner at their restaurant, The Backroom. If you're ever in the Pittsfield/Killington area, you have to have dinner there. Be sure to make reservations, they book up quickly! Our wedding was an intimate affair, 21 guests, immediate family only, so our rehearsal dinner wasn't traditional. Instead we ordered pizza and salad from the General Store and it was delicious! The food and drink on our wedding day was unreal. Every guest said that it was the best meal that they had ever had. The first course was a butternut squash soup, topped with toasted sunflower seeds, scallions and pumpkin seed oil, it was so delicious I had to stop myself from licking the bowl clean (I'm sure it would have been a great photo-op, but wouldn't have been very ladylike). The main course was a filet that was cooked to perfection, served with sauteed greens and garlic and rosemary crushed potatoes. I can't find the right words to describe how delicious this was. Katie and Kevin did bake us a small cake that we used for the traditional cake cutting, but the dessert for our guests was a pie bar, Pumpkin, Apple and Pecan. Again, all the guests raved that these pies were the best they have ever eaten. The night was topped off with a late night snack of cider donuts. I was standing with my back to the dessert table when these arrived and could smell them before they were placed down. These tasted just as delicious as they smelled and the table was swarming with guests within seconds. The morning after our ceremony, Katie and Kevin catered a farewell brunch that included an omelet station, hash browns, scrambled eggs and waffles. Again, the food was amazing, the made to order omelets were a hit!

We had our wedding this past weekend at Riverside Farm and Vermont Farms Catering did an absolutely amazing job. Katie and Kevin worked with us from day one on creating a menu for the entire weekend that would wow our guests. They paid attention to every single detail and made sure everyone was taken care of. People have been commenting non stop on how its not only the best wedding food they have ever had, but a once in a lifetime experience and some of the best food they have ever tasted. We were thrilled with the presentation, the quality of the food and the entire package that they provided of a farm to table meal. Fresh, local and excellent. Not only was the food delicious, but they catered to the needs of guests with special requests. My good friend who is gluten free/dairy free and had requested a special meal said its the best she has eaten in months. Katie and Kevin do not only provide an amazing catering experience, but they go above and beyond to make the whole entire presentation of food a beautiful part of the wedding. There are no words to really describe the unique gift that they bring to the table (no pun intended) but they did not just cater our wedding, they really made the wedding special. I feel as though after planning the wedding and searching high and low for good service and vendors who have passion for what they do and CARE about what product/service they provide it wasn't just a breath of fresh air but I felt like we won the lottery when we met Katie and Kevin because I feel their passion came through on every plate they made. Our son and new daughter-in-law recently were married at Riverside Farm in VT and we were very pleased with the excellent catering provided by Kevin, Katie & the Vermont Farms Catering team. From the intimate family dinner in the Backroom on Thursday evening, thru the Friday rehearsal dinner and welcome event, Saturday's wonderful wedding day reception and then Sunday closing brunch, all the food was well themed, delicious, prepared perfectly with ample portions and served beautifully and professionally. Kevin and Katie brought a unique and delicious touch to something that can typically be a bit bland and lifeless. Their ability to scale their amazing dishes for a wedding crowd is really something to marvel at. Restaurant quality done at wedding scale. Fantastic.

We hired VT Farms Catering to do our wedding dinner and could not have been happier. Kevin (chef) was super helpful and easy going as we decided on a menu and the whole process was totally stress free. My wife and I are both foodies and have pretty high standards and we absolutely loved the food. We had a meat and cheese station that was gorgeous and super tasty followed a buffet-style dinner. The 'House Made Gnocchi with Fresh Corn and Summer Truffle' was the hit of the evening. The staff was super friendly and happy and everyone that attended was impressed all around.
