ur wedding date to a weekend that they were available, and we are so happy we did! Katie and Kevin are a great team and from the beginning they were responsive to our questions and receptive to our ideas on how we wanted to customize the menu and drinks. We were blown away at the tasting and joked that it would be the only chance to try our wedding menu. But on the day of our wedding, we received such a high level of service and attention that we surprisingly found ourselves quite full! We both have family and friends who are big foodies so having good food was a must for our wedding and it made us so happy when our guests could not stop raving about the food. Many even went back for seconds and even thirds! It was hands down the best food we have ever had at a wedding, and we feel so thankful that it was at our own wedding. We had such an amazing experience with Vermont Farms Catering and can't recommend them highly enough!!

e service was unparalleled. From the tasting through to the wedding day, planning and working with Vermont Farms was easy. They communicated effectively and there were zero surprises! And the food…..oh my GOD the food is so good. The bride (me) has celiac disease and they were able to craft a fully gluten free menu with ease! I felt so safe and comfortable eating at my wedding and that was the greatest gift of all. They also really listened to personal preferences and made them happen with ease—I love a specific pumpkin cider and they sourced it and made it happen. They are amazing. Their food is amazing. Our wedding was in a field, so there were a few logistical hurdles, but all the catering staff took it in stride and provided an incredible charcuterie table, cocktails, and buffet meal for our guests. The halibut and olives in tomato sauce and prime rib were especially big hits. Our tasting was also delicious and fun! While during the busy wedding season, VT Farm Catering were a little hard to get in touch with, ultimately they delivered on everything they promised and more. Would highly recommend.

The day of our wedding we were so pleased to see that everything translated so well from the tasting to the actual event itself. Kevin, Katie and team were consummate professionals throughout the process, and stuck with us through all the date changes we experienced due to COVID. In my opinion, you can't do much better than Vermont Farms for your Vermont wedding.

They listened to us, accommodated any wishes we had, and executed everything to pure perfection. To a variety of delish flavors, to presentations that made you stop and take a picture first...everything was perfect! We can not thank them enough, we are forever grateful that we chose Vermont Farms Catering for our big day. We will be visiting their restaurant "The Backroom" in Pittsfield, VT every year. re married in August at Riverside Farm, and our friends are STILL talking about that gnocchi! From the hors d'oeuvres to the customized mixed drinks, our friends and family were WELL taken care of. If I were to make one suggestion, it's that staff take the time to bring hors d'oeuvres directly to the bride and groom (not just the bridal party), since my husband and I didn't get the chance to have any. But overall, everything was so elegant and timed perfectly. I would 10/10 recommend booking them and choosing the gnocchi as your vegetarian option! If I could, I would drive the 2.5 hours daily for them to cook me dinner!

t caterers for our special day. Kevin and Katie make an INCREDIBLE team. Kevin's food is, in a word, perfect. We were seeking a specific "vibe" for the wedding, and he made sure that we not only had food to match, but that it all was unbelievably delicious. No one who came to the tasting knew that they liked succotash before they tried his. Katie's coordination via email and of the staff at the event made everything run seamlessly. And the staff they had at our wedding were so kind, helpful and sweet. The catering staff checked up on us regularly throughout the evening, and their kindness was mentioned by several of our guests. We literally couldn't have asked for anything more, and we definitely got more than we knew to ask for.

extremely accommodating and easy going regarding our new plan. We knew from the moment we met them at our tasting in Pittsfield, that they would take great care of us. They brought Doug and I an individual appetizer plate to make sure we ate. Also, I was busy making the round, they boxed up my meal for me and wrote the sweetest note on top! I ended up devouring it on the dance floor! Not only are they extremely kind and generous, but the food was unbelievable. My husband and I had so many people tell us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Definitely a highlight of our wedding! We can't wait to visit them again at the Backroom.

as COVID hit and all email communications were prompt, thorough, and professional. When COVID forced us to cancel our large reception at an inn and plan one within state guidelines, they were flexible and adventurous as they adapted to our new plan - which involved cooking and serving at a small private venue in the woods up a class 4 road! They were conscious of our budget and even helped me plan tableware (we used both rentals and compostable plates, reusable cups). They arrived at the venue eager to help with set up. Presentation of the bar, charcuterie station, appetizers and meals were detailed and beautiful. Their staff were beyond attentive - without even asking, we had our own personal appetizer plate and on multiple occasions someone brought me a drink when they noticed it was empty. And then, to top it all off, the food was AMAZING! Nothing but positive comments from all our guests. I would highly recommend them for wedding events.

, but we couldn’t have imagined a caterer as perfect as VT Farms Catering. We booked Kevin and Katie last summer after a tasting that absolutely eclipsed every other caterer we tried for a planned October 2020 wedding of about 120 people. When it became clear earlier this summer as the pandemic was spreading that the wedding we had imagined was no longer viable, Kevin and Katie graciously worked with us to alter the event, radically downsizing the party to just a small group of family and friends, and hosting us in their own beautiful private restaurant “The Backroom”, instead of the larger venue we had originally booked. Every aspect of the evening was perfect, with incredibly delicious food, wine, and cocktails, a thoughtful menu that felt personal to both brides and gracefully accommodated our several guests with dietary restrictions, and warm, attentive service. There is simply no one we could recommend more strongly to cater any event, and we look forward to collaborating with Katie and Kevin again for a larger wedding reception in the future and we hope for many celebrations after that!

We have been fortunate to enjoy their delicious food on multiple occasions at The Backroom, in addition to witnessing their incredible catering service in action at my sister’s June 2019 wedding in Pittsfield. All of their food is outstanding, and I’m consistently amazed by both the creativity of their menus and the quality of their service. One element that made our engagement dinner particularly special was the fact that they created a unique menu geared toward my fiancé’s and my pescatarian diet. Their craft cocktails as well as the champagne, wine & beer selection are always on point. Once again Vermont Farms exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't have imagined a more perfect way to toast the evening of our engagement!

I, personally, find myself somewhere in the middle -- not terribly adventurous and I have foods I generally stay away from. Kevin is so good that he created dishes during our tasting that I never would order on my own but ended up adding to our wedding menu because of how he prepared it. I also can’t say enough about the staff. They were awesome day of – making sure my husband and I ate and that the whole service process went off without a hitch.

They worked with us to create a menu that was unique to us and represented who we are as a couple. They created a custom grilled cheese bites with tomato soup shooters for us as well as late night pretzel bites (because we love pretzels). Their wait staff was incredibly friendly and professional. They brought us our own plate of all of the appetizers to make sure that we didn't miss out due to photos and getting caught in conversation. Various members of the waitstaff also kept checking in with us to make sure that we had gotten enough to eat and to offer to bring us whatever we needed. I felt so taken care of. Now on to the food. Bottom line: I have never had better food at a wedding, or really anywhere, for that matter. I still dream about the short ribs and the miso bacon. We had our meal served family style. The meals were all served around the same time and everything was the perfect temperature. The cake they made for us was charmingly rustic as well as delicious and was far cheaper than hiring a baker. The late night pretzel bites were a huge hit and one of my favorite moments was watching the server dance her way through the crowd offering pretzel bites to people! If you are looking for a caterer in the VT/NH area, look no further! They are worth every penny (and are reasonably priced), and your belly and guests will thank you.

There is nothing worse than being at a gorgeous wedding with mediocre food (or not enough food!), but Vermont Farms Catering offered our guests loads of creative, local, delicious food the throughout the entire weekend. Katie was incredibly responsive in the year leading up to our wedding, and was so patient with us as we peppered her with a million little questions about the food for our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, reception, and sunday brunch. Their attention to detail was incredible - and they accommodated every single thing we asked for, and offered creative ideas for things we hadn't even thought of! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

That night Katie brought over some homemade marshmallows for smores and they were unreal. I may have gained 5 lbs that night alone. The cocktail hour and reception were just as phenomenal. They even let us get creative during the reception and have the sides in a family style setup to make the whole night more fun while providing everyone their meals. Oh and did I mention that all the food was AMAZING?! They knocked everything out of the park and their service staff was courteous, respectful, and very accommodating.

The food at our wedding was absolutely perfect in preparation, presentation, quality and quantity. We were married at the Trailside Inn on June 30th and had retained VFC about eight months prior to the event. We had several conference calls and emails with Katie to work out the menu and details of exactly what we envisioned for the event. Throughout the whole planning process Katie was accessible, organized and a pleasure to work with. We were lucky enough to enjoy a meal at their Backroom Restaurant in Pittsfield, VT prior to our tasting so we had two previews of what the food would be like. We have to say, the food at our wedding was every bit as good as the tasting and we have had multiple guests after the wedding commenting that this was the best wedding cuisine that they have ever had. Since our wedding day was more of a wedding weekend at the Trailside Inn, we also retained VFC to provide a welcome dinner BBQ buffet and light breakfast the morning after the wedding. Both of these additional services were also expertly prepared, presented and absolutely delicious. We’ve been trying to replicate their chimmi-churri sauce ever since the event! Essentially, Chef Kevin and Katie can create an appetizer and dinner menu with a wine/beer and cocktail list that is completely your creation and will exceed your expectations. We truly feel fortunate to have been able to work with Kevin and Katie for our wedding and the food is not easily forgotten! the innkeepers. Katie and Kevin were amazing to work with-- they were very open to our preferences/tastes, and crafted a menu that was seasonal, local, and suited us. The first time we visited Killington, we got a reservation at their restaurant (winter only I think) the Backroom, and the food was absolutely incredible. The next day we came back for a tasting, and it was just my (then) fiance and me with Katie and Kevin. Kevin cooked us everything from the menu right there, and Katie talked us through the details and had us try some wine pairings. The food was delicious (and generous!) and we were feeling confident that it would turn out great. On the day of the wedding, the food was wonderful, and everything went smoothly with the catering staff. They were very friendly and professional. We couldn't be happier! leading up to the event was wonderful - they welcomed both sets of parents at separate tastings and were so patient with us as we made edits to the menu. They even incorporated our family-caught salmon into the menu! Then, the night of our welcome dinner we had insane rain, and the Vermont Farms team were such troopers bringing food back and forth across our muddy field to the house. The following day at the wedding, they were energetic, so kind, and overall just blew us away. Our guests could not stop raving about the food all weekend! The buffet dinner was definitely worth waiting for however - every single item was delicious. We only wished afterward that we were hungrier to eat more! The cake and pie bar were also much praised by our guests. There was plenty of food for all our guests. We were also thrilled with the bar services and appreciated their help beforehand choosing local VT beers. However, as grateful as we were for the food, we were completely blown away by how far above and beyond they went to help us out with the organization, set up and tear down of the venue. They brought all the linens and glassware for us and set these up beautifully after setting up the tables in our barn-like venue. Throughout the event, they were constantly setting up areas like the cocktail hour and tearing them down to set up something else, like the buffet. In among all of this, they also managed to bring us food and drinks during the cocktail hour when we were taking pictures. They then tore down some of the tables so we could have an area to dance after dinner and plated extra food for us for afterward. They did this all so smoothly I don't think our guests really realized anything was happening. We absolutely cannot recommend VT Farms Catering enough.

When we told locals we were getting married there, the first thing out of people's mouth that were lucky to attend a wedding there, said how amazing the food was and boy were they right. I can't tell you the number of guests that came up to us raving about the food and how tender and delicious everything was. You don't expect to have the best meal of your life at a wedding ,but that is exactly what you get when you get married at Riverside Farms and have your caterers be Kevin and Katie from Vermont Farms Catering. Lovely married couple, such as joy to be around and their love of food and drinks shines through the ceremony and everything they touch is made with love and prepared perfectly. For 130 people, you would expect things to be cold or to be mass produced. But instead, it felt and tasted like everything made, was made just for you. I will never forget this day and we are so happy that our fondest memories of the day will be the compliments from our guests about the food. Highly recommended.

Before the big weekend, we spoke to 2-3 couples who worked with VFC and they all RAVED about the food as well as their experience working with Katie and Kevin. VFC pays impeccable attention to the details and presentation of everything they serve. Everything they offered was a visual delight and tasted even better than it looked. They listened to all of our ideas and feedback. They went out of their way to get to know us as a couple which, in turn, translated into a truly personalized catering experience. From the beginning, they made it clear that they wanted our wedding to be filled with the foods and drinks that we loved and helped us to create our perfect menu. We knew they had an extremely busy schedule – especially since our wedding was during prime wedding season – however they were dedicated to making your day perfect and were always available to answer questions or offer suggestions/advice – and their staff was extremely professional, attentive and friendly. I never had to wait or look for someone if I needed something or had a question, someone was always right there, ready and eager to help in any way. Our guests were very impressed with their ability to tend to every need and request. I can’t say enough about VFC but can PROMISE you, you won’t be disappointed! They made our wedding weekend one we will NEVER forget!!!
