Marion was outstanding! She was very quick to respond, always in communication, and very professional. We knew we were in good hands the whole way through and then her creations were just magical! She made our wildest dreams come true and all her cupcakes and our wedding cake were delicious. Even guests who don't typically like cake loved ours. We cannot recommend Vermont Sweet Tooth enough!

I can't say enough how wonderful it is to work with Marion Peer on my wedding cake. I've heard many sad stories where B&G's were disappointed with their cakes and I knew the minute I saw Marion's design that my wedding cake is going to be the catering highlight of the night! It was unique, beautiful and delicious! Marion has a way of interpreting your vision and style into the cake she designs - it's just amazing! We received many fantastic comments about our wedding cake and we can't wait to have our anniversary cake! Thank you so so much, Marion! You are so sweet to work with!

If I could, I would give 6/5 stars. Having delicious wedding cake was one of top three priorities. We had a tasting a year before our wedding and Marion graciously accommodated our family at the tasting. It was the best cake I have eaten. I even enjoyed the lemon cake, which I generally don't touch. Buying cake from Marion was one of the best decisions we made at the wedding. We had a 9'' cutting cake with small yellow flowers. We were able to give Marion some sample pictures over email and she constructed exactly the cake we wanted. We arranged to have a courier deliver the cake (Marion does not handle delivery) which was well worth the trouble. Bottom line, the only regret I have from my wedding was not getting to take more cake home!

Marion Peer of Vermont Sweet Tooth is an absolute MAGICIAN!!! From the first correspondence to the final delivery of the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake imaginable, Marion was so helpful, responsive and wonderful to work with every step of the way. Our meeting at her lovely home studio/kitchen was so nice; she had three kinds of cake and frosting — with edible sparkles, to add to the magic — ready for us to try, and we were blown away by the flavors and textures. Her cakes are so moist and flavorful, and the icings are such a perfect complement. I’m not usually a fan of vanilla cake, but we ended up choosing her vanilla-bourbon cake for two of our three layers, with the most perfectly balanced and flavored maple buttercream. The other layer was a very rich chocolate fudge chunk cake with vanilla buttercream, and it was everything you could ever wish for in a piece of chocolate cake! The other flavor we tried was the “lemony snicket” cake; it was so delicious and perfectly citrusy I nearly cried. I wish we could have had a 10-tier cake to experience all the flavors. Even if there was no decoration at all, the cake would be memorable and totally enjoyable, but Marion’s sugar artistry adds another dimension — a true feast for the eyes. Her blown-sugar flowers are practically indistinguishable from real ones, but they last much longer! We brought in some inspiration photos and our invitation suite, and talked with Marion about the flowers and plants that would be used in our wedding, but asked her to use her creative expertise in choosing which botanicals to feature. She crafted a set of perfect, natural-looking white garden roses accented with lavender, eucalyptus, tiny white flowers and greenery and berries — all sugar — arranged perfectly on the simple white cake. There was even a tiny hidden ladybug for good luck! She PERFECTLY captured the vibe and look of the whole wedding. We spent a long time with Marion looking through her photo albums, marveling at every creation. She can make any size cake, from cupcakes to multi-tiered, and any shape. She can create anything out of sugar: beloved pets, children and people (with very realistic details — glasses, hair, clothing), waterfalls and forest scenes, cars, in styles ranging from whimsical and cartoon-ish to photorealistic and totally natural. For baby showers, she has created incredible flowers with tiny sugar babies curled in the petals. I’ve heard you’re supposed to save the top layer for your first year anniversary — well, we didn’t want to wait that long. We shared a piece out of the freezer for our first month anniversary, and it was absolutely delicious — and full of happy memories! Marion was very communicative and responsive; it was easy to email her, she asked lots of questions, and I felt totally confident that she would bring my dreams to life, even if I didn’t know exactly what to ask for! She was very clear on instructions to ensure the cake would be served well, from checking on cooler space before arrival to including a box full of foam to place the sugar flowers in when the cake was cut. She knows exactly what her creations need to be transported safely, and while we were lucky to be close to her studio, I’m sure any order would arrive in perfect shape. Her level of care, attention to detail and creativity is just stellar, and she is absolutely just a lovely person as well! I cannot recommend Vermont Sweet Tooth highly enough!

All I can say is Marion makes the most beautiful cakes I've ever seen. Not only are her cakes stunningly beautiful, it was the most delicious cake I've ever had. Her attention to detail is amazing. Marion made me the most beautiful flowers and even made the most adorable figure of my precious dog. Guests at my wedding could not believe the flowers were not real and all commented on how delicious the cake was. (Our cake was lemon, so yummy)

All I can say is YUM YUM YUM! And the tasting experience with Marion is like none other! You will feel so special in a fun, tea-party-like way! Prices were competitive, her availability and quick responses made questions and coordinating so easy, and did I mention YUM?! No matter what flavor(s... we decided we needed three!) you choose, it will be the best cake you've ever had.

Marion is a true artist and a gracious professional. She created a work of art exactly how we envisioned our perfect cake. And her sugar flowers belong in a museum. AND the cake was delicious!!! She generously and professional made the wedding day coordination very easy and went the extra mile.

Marion is the absolute BEST. My husband and I had the very best time at our tasting with Marion and truly enjoyed getting to know her. She is so sweet and generous! Marion made us a beautiful cake, incorporating sugar flowers based on our wedding flowers. We had carrot, chocolate chunk, and lemon cake and they went SO fast! If I can recommend anything, it is to make sure you have enough because Marion's cakes are so good that even those guests who aren't necessarily "dessert" people will want to have some too. You can't go wrong working with Marion!

My Husband and I were married in Waitsfield, VT in September, and were SO LUCKY to have Marion and VT Sweet Tooth create our cake! We met with Marion in January, and she gave us a hearty sampling of her top 3 flavors- Vanilla Bourbon, Lemon, and Double Fudge Chink. Oh my goodness! We both agreed that it was by far the best cake we have ever had! We loved the flavors so much that we actually ordered sheet cakes in each flavor, as well as a very unique 3 tiered wedding cake (It resembled Birch slabs). Which brings me to my next rave- Marion’s cakes aren’t just… cakes. She is a true artist. We worked with her for months leading up to the wedding so that she could design (out of 100% edible sugar paste) sugar flowers, and toppers of myself and my husband in our wedding gear along with our 2 cats. They looked INCREDIBLE! Everybody was talking about how much the toppers looked like us… she even got my husband’s beard right! People often talk about how wedding cake doesn’t taste good, but Marion’s cakes are truly out of this world.

We chose to have cupcakes instead of a cake for our wedding, and are very happy we chose Vermont Sweet Tooth. Marion met with us beforehand and had 3 flavors for us to taste. They were all so good that we chose all of them! We had 100 cupcakes for a 70 person wedding and by the end of the night they were all gone!!! We received so many compliments. Thank you Marion!

I have to say, my mom STILL asks me about the cupcakes from our wedding!! Marion did such an incredible job with our whole dessert table. We went to her without even mentioning the wedding since we didn't want a cake - just cupcakes and cookies. After meeting her and reviewing her gorgeous creations, we ended up ordering one of her special birch cakes for us, and plenty of cupcakes and cookies for the guests. She even snuck in a few personal touches in the cake that nearly made my husband cry. Her dedication to each couple is obvious. Her talent is unparalleled. Her touch at your wedding is unmatched. I couldn't say enough great things about her desserts. Marion is the best!!

Going into the whole wedding cake experience, we thought it was going to be very simple- vanilla or chocolate and white icing. This was so far from reality when it came to having your cake designed and created by Marion of Vermont Sweet Tooth. It was truly an experience that we will always remember. We sat with Marion in her beautiful kitchen and talked not only about cake, but also ourselves. In turn, the cake we received was very special and personalized just for us with amazing sugar work! Her sugar flowers are so life like and beautiful, and are a keepsake. Not only did the cake look amazing, it was delicious! We had so many people compliment on how great the cake was- very moist and the frosting was the perfect buttery sweetness. I highly recommend Vermont Sweet Tooth- it was probably one of my favorite experiences of the whole “planning” process and it turned just chocolate or vanilla into a very memorable experience

Marion was so wonderful to deal with! She was always very prompt at responding to emails and questions. Her cakes are so flavorful and all of our guests raved about how much they loved the cakes! The decorations she hand made to place on the cake looked life like and were very detailed. I recommend looking through her cake album to see all of the amazing and different cakes she has made. Over all a wonderful experience!!

My experience with wedding cakes is that they are usually an afterthought that no one really eats at the wedding. I wish my guests hadn't eaten the cake because it would have been more for me to take home! Marion's cake is truly the best cake I have eaten. I am still thinking and dreaming about the wedding cake :) At the cake tasting I had to restrain myself from inhaling the samples she gave us to try. On top of the cake being out of this world (go with the bourbon vanilla and chocolate fudge cake!), Marion is a true artist. Our guests did not believe the flower on the cake was sugar because it was so realistic. I am disappointed that we do not live closer, as I would order cakes from Marion for every occasion, if I could!

If you are looking for, not just a beautiful cake, but the best tasting cake you have EVER HAD IN YOUR LIFE then you MUST use Marion from Vermont Sweet Tooth. Our tasting was so much fun. She is so creative and thoughtful. She even did a Groom's cake thay blew people away. On top of that, Marion is such a wonderful person. We loved our experience and LOVE our Cake. We plan to get a mini version of our delicious Bourbon Vanilla Bean cake with Maple butter cream icing wedding cake every year on our anniversary. THANKS MARION!!!

Working with Marion was a great experience from start to finish. She invited us to her home for a lovely cake tasting, was immediate to answer any questions or requests via email, and was excited and happy to be involved in our wedding day! The cake itself that she makes are absolutely GORGEOUS-- but more importantly, are SO DELICIOUS! The day of the cake tasting I actually ate 3 pieces by myself. I would have eaten the whole cake on the day of the wedding if it was possible!!! We highly recommend Marion and Vermont Sweet Tooth for any wedding... or just to buy a cake to eat by yourself! :)

I read glowing reviews, one after another, about Vermont Sweet Tooth. Since we live across the country and could not go in for a tasting, I was looking for good service AND a delicious cake. Marion delivered! We were thinking of doing a custom cake in the shape of a mountain, because we are big hikers. After going over pictures of prior cakes that Marion has make, my groom preferred the birch tree cake design (popular with lots of VT cakemakers), so we went with that. Marion makes all the flowers and "greenery" herself in edible sugar to match your florist's designs, but to ensure that nothing with pesticides is on your cake. We had her custom design a bird's nest with a male and female bird on the cake layers, and an egg in the nest to represent our "expectant" state. (For bird people, we chose a Rose Breasted Grosbeak, since the male has such beautiful colors.) The best thing was that Marion really loved making the birds. It was the first time she'd done this, and told me how much fun she had doing it! And, most importantly, the carrot and lemon layers (I tried both) were moist and delicious!

Marion provided us with a great wedding cake – not only did it look good, but it was delicious too!! She was very easy to work with, giving us examples and a great tasting session to help formulate what we wanted in our wedding cake. The lemon cake which is her specialty was all the rave from our guests and we can’t wait to slice into the top tier for a reminder of just how tasty it was on our first anniversary! The cake fit perfectly in our “birch” fall wedding.
