Vernales catered our wedding and did such a great job. Joe and Ashley were so great to work with and the food was amazing.

I worked closely with Ashley while planning my wedding day menu. Everything from breakfast to dinner, the bar, allergies, tastings, etc. I went back and forth with a lot of things, had a bunch of questions, and several changes in guest count. Ashley was incredibly patient and kind, very knowledgeable with recommendations, and overall wonderful to work with. I didn’t get to talk to the catering staff much on my wedding day, but when we had to move indoors due to the weather I was told the catering team did an incredible job getting everything they needed together and didn’t add to the stress of everyone else running around changing things. The food was SO good and I still am getting compliments on our choices. We also held our rehearsal dinner at their restaurant, which was amazing! Everyone enjoyed themselves and the food was amazing that night as well. Nikki was great to work with in planning and organizing this as well. Big shout out to her for personalizing the menus, everyone loved them and it was such a special touch.

Could not say enough about this awesome vendor! So easy to work with, helpful, kind and the food was amazing! The staff was wonderful and made everything run smoothly! If you need a caterer in the Petoskey area definitely book this one! Wedding date 7/9/21

Joe from Vernales made us feel comfortable and excited about wedding planning from the first time we spoke with him. When we dropped by the restaurant to taste some of their (terrific) food, he stopped by our table to check in and make sure we had no questions unanswered. He was prompt with responses to all emails, & his team was full of self-starters (we left plates in a heap before our buffet wedding and they showed up early and took initiative to organize and move them to the buffet tables they set up before we even arrived to instruct them). As for the food itself- you would never know catered food could taste this good. We had chicken marsala, vegetable pasta with pesto cream (to DIE for. I was the bride and even as busy as I was, I wanted seconds) and finished with their fresh cannolis for dessert in lieu of cake!

Do yourself a favor and hire Vernales. If I could give more stars, I would've! Joe is the definition of awesome. He was easy to get a hold of (which is not always the case in wedding vendors), he was quick to respond and follow up, he's SO kind, and wait, did I mention - OUR FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. We are still getting messages about how delicious everything was. Joe and his great team executed our vision perfectly, they were on top of every detail and so accommodating to changes. Their expertise shines! Vernales was hands down the easiest to work with and we couldn't be happier with the results.

We got married at the Bay Harbor Village Hotel July 4th weekend this year. I want to give a huge shout out to Joe for making the planning process so easy and making our day so special. He was so professional, accommodating, and communicative; his hospitality is unmatched! I’m from Los Angeles, and with being thousands of miles away, this was greatly appreciated. Also, he was extremely accommodating guests (and myself) with food allergies and dietary restrictions; that in itself is truly thoughtful. With Vernales, we did a hosted open bar, passed-tray appetizers for cocktail hour, and plated dinners. The guests loved the food and the staff was extremely pleasant and all around awesome. FYI for future brides--If you book your wedding at BHVH, Vernales is the exclusive caterer, which was actually very nice because Joe knew the layout of the venue and what works/doesn’t work for guests. However, if you’re just looking for a caterer in general for your special day, I highly recommend Vernales! You will not be disappointed.Thank you to Joe and team for everything!
