time known as "The k Gallery") and knew instantly that we would scimp on literally everything else in order to make sure we could secure them as our photographers. We didn't want generic and cliche wedding photos, and from the research we'd done we felt they were the only ones who could deliver an album that we would cherish for the rest of our lives. Their work speaks for itself, so I don't need to convey the fact that they are not "just" photographers, they are artists. (I will say, however, that more than half the people who've seen our album have proclaimed "These are the best wedding pictures I have ever seen!") What I can tell you that their portfolio doesn't is how wonderful they are to work with and genuinely want to give 110%. When after paying our retainer we suffered a little financial hiccup, they were sympathetic to our plight and were kind and generous enough to refund it against policy. A few months later when things settled down we re-booked them, and from there on out it was smooth sailing. They were extremely friendly and easy to communicate with, quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We met them in person a few days before the wedding and were so pleased to find they were two of the most easygoing, quirky and funny people. We got a HUGE surprise on the wedding day when we found out that we were getting two photographers for the price of one!! Matt's event fell through, so he joined along with Krystal and they both spent the entire day working with us at no extra charge. We were thrilled to have two artistic perspectives on the day, two professionals... not to mention the dynamic between them was just fun to be around and set a great tone. There was nothing awkward or uncomfortable about being in front of their lenses; they made us feel beautiful and it showed in the photos. To top off a great day with them, they both stayed for close to an hour longer than contracted to make sure they captured the cake cutting and last dance. Not once did they ask for a cent more or put any pressure on us to squeeze the night into the predesignated timeline. When it came time to create the album, we had a say in every step. We were able to view (and allow friends and family to view) close to 1000 of our photos online and even ordered the digital prints to all of them. This was a huge deal for us as I know a lot of photographers want to keep the rights to their work and therefore you wind up emptying your wallet to get more pictures. We chose 100 of our favorites and then worked back and forth via e-mail tweaking the layouts and colors of the album. The final result is a gorgeous Italian leather bound coffee table album that we couldn't be more thrilled with. It captures our special day perfectly and brings back every special moment with all of the artistic flair we wanted and none of the "cheese." Hiring Matt and Krystal was one of the best decisions we made. We recommend them to everyone we know and will definitely trust them in the future to cement in time our most beautiful moments.
