Top notch events team. The on-site team was so kind, professional and experienced. Vespera provides their event venue manager, Rachelle, who is the sweetest and made the planning ...
process so fun and easy. The banquet staff was the best I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. The service, food and attention to detail was unmatched - thank you April and Chef Robert. I highly recommend this venue and event team to anyone looking to plan a special event for any occasion! Thank you Vespera team. Beautiful property right on the beach. You can walk downtown Pismo and it’s literally steps from the sand. Can’t beat it!

well. The booking process at Vespera was so easy, they really are willing to work with you to provide you with what you want. The banquet team was amazing, my entire family loved Donna. I highly reccommend hosting any special event at Vespera, the property and people are all amazing. So kind and thoughtful. We even received a surprise amenity upon check in. Love Vespera.
We recently hosted our wedding at Vespera Resort and have mixed feelings about the experience.
The property is beautiful, and many staff members were friendly and genuinely wanted...
to help. We also appreciate that management listened to our concerns and worked with us after the wedding.
That said, the planning process often felt disorganized. We encountered communication challenges, inconsistencies in details, and several planning issues that required us to closely monitor contracts, reservations, timelines, and event logistics ourselves. As a result, what should have been an exciting and enjoyable experience became far more stressful than expected.
While Vespera provides an event coordinator, couples should understand that the role appears to be focused on venue operations rather than managing the many details of a wedding day. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend hiring an experienced professional wedding planner who can advocate for you, coordinate logistics, and catch issues before they become problems.

uests raved about the quality of the food and loved the accommodations! The venue is perfect if you are looking for a beach wedding! They were able to get permits from the city of Pismo Beach so we could have our ceremony on the sand. Then we did pictures under the pier and walked over for a beautiful cocktail hour and reception just off the boardwalk. It was all so convenient and efficient. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to show off our town to our out-of-state guests! So grateful to have this hidden gem in our backyard.
Vespera, simply put, was the perfect place to hold a wedding.
Ally, Holly, and team were great from start to finish - accommodating, very understanding, listening to what our nee...
ds were and making sure that the venue was as customized to our liking as possible.
The actual hotel location is gorgeous - right along the beach, with amazing sunsets, and that led to a really beautiful backdrop for our wedding.
The food at Pequin is amazing too - our guests loved all the options.
The color scheme of various shades of blue were exactly what we were looking for and that really reflected throughout.
We used the Starlight Lawn patio area (by the pool outside) for our ceremony and reception and did Cocktail Hour alongside the patios by the boardwalk. We did not do a beach wedding even though some people choose to do that.
We are super happy with Vespera and special shoutout to Ally and Holly and the team - thank you so much and we encourage you to consider Vespera for something that’s halfway between SF and LA.
