Veterans Terrace is a classic but modern wedding venue that is nestled right in historical, downtown Burlington, Wisconsin. With 18 foot ceilings and a ballroom that is surrounded by 9ft windows on three sides, the White River, Echo Lake and Echo Park create the nature-lovers dream back-drop for any occasion.
Facilities and Capacity
The Liberty Hall has nearly 6,000 square feet of wide-open floor space that can seat up to 360 guests in total. Your loved ones can enjoy your reception underneath the romantic crystal chandeliers and dance the night away to music from your DJ or band on the spacious dance floor. The ballroom's large windows will allow you and your guests to enjoy stunning views of Echo Lake, Echo Park and the White River. For outdoor ceremonies, the Memorial Terrace adorns a gorgeous brick construction and is surrounded by lush hydrangea bushes, roses, perennials and spacious green lawns for a touch of natural beauty. Smaller winter weddings and prenuptial events will be welcome to use the versatile Patriot Hall or the intimate Stars and Stripes Room. At night, couples and guests can admire the LED-lit Echo Lake dam (color chosen by our couple), which adds an effervescent glow to the celebrations. Our The Memorial Terrace, with the street lamps above and cocktail lights overhead, is also the perfect romantic spot for a first dance or sparkler photo.
Services Offered
One of the things that makes Veterans Terrace most unique, is that we have a wide variety of FULL HALL DECORATING PACKAGES!! Our couples are able to choose from the numerous decor options and the Veterans Terrace staff sets it up and then does all of the clean up at the end of the night. It is the easy button for our brides!! Veteran's Terrace has a dedicated team of employees that strive to make every wedding day a truly memorable experience. The staff goes above and beyond to cater to the couple's needs, ensuring that every aspect of your wedding day is expertly executed. The experienced staff is on hand throughout the occasion to assist with the planning, the setup, and the cleanup for a smooth-running event. All of our rentals also include linens, event staff, bartenders, tables and chairs. The proceeds from all weddings and events booked at Veterans Terrace go to the Burlington Community Fund where they are used to fund grants and scholarships for individuals in our community and the surrounding areas.

We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our wedding! From the moment we started planning, the team at Veterans Terrace was incredibly helpful, professional, and attentive to every detail. They made the entire process seamless, ensuring that our vision came to life perfectly and kept it fun!
The reception hall itself was stunning—beautifully maintained, spacious, and elegant. The setup was flawless, and every detail, from the table arrangements to the lighting, was exactly as we had envisioned. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, always available to assist and ensuring that our guests were well taken care of.
A special shoutout to Beth, Allison, and Sherry for their incredible coordination and support throughout the entire planning process and on the big day. We truly felt like we were in the best hands and had absolutely nothing to worry or stress about.

Beth and Allison were so incredible to work with! We looked at many different venues and decided on Veteran's Terrace for the beauty of the venue itself, not for it's potential. Not only was the venue absolutely stunning, the staff were so helpful and bent over backwards to any request we might have had on our night. Both Beth and Allison went over every single detail, and communicated back and forth numerous times to ensure that our day was captured the way we wanted it to be captured. Their recommendations were also a hit and the vendors we chose from their recommendations just added to the magic of the night. Thank you ALL at Veterans Terrace for making our night so incredibly magical! I will never stop thinking about our wedding day!

Veterans Terrace is a hidden gem in the small town of Burlington, WI. The staff at Veterans is unmatched and Beth and Allison have the wedding setup and execution down to a science. From the second we walked into the venue 2 years ago, Beth's infectious personality and charisma drew us in to wanting to book this venue. Leading up to the day they made so many gorgeous renovations and their attention to detail is second to none. We did some upgrades for decorations that were reasonably priced, and limited the amount of things we had to come to Wisconsin with which was HUGE for us. The day ran unbelievable, the decorations and setups were better than anywhere we could have ever imagined. 10/10 would recommend this place for the best day of your life, and you're investing in people that actually care.

We cannot say enough about this venue. Our wedding was 5-3-2024, and we lost track on the number of people who complimented how beautiful and perfect the venue was. Especially with it being right by the park and river as we were able to get such beautiful pictures done. Their planning process is also so easy and well thought out. Both Beth and Allison made everything so easy and they were so open to questions we had. I HIGHLY recommend utilizing their lighting and decor packages. We were so happy with how beautiful everything turned out, and we did not have to stress about setting anything up or taking it down at the end of the night. Once our wedding day started, we had absolutely no issues or things we needed to decide on. Beth and Allison managed it all. The only thing we were initially skeptical on was the fact they don't normally do a rehearsal the night before, but instead they go through it about 30 minutes before the ceremony started. This worked absolutely flawlessly. Everyone was able to remember what they needed to do, and it looked beautiful for pictures/video. My husband and I are going to absolutely tell everyone they need to check Veterans Terrace out when selecting a venue as we were so happy we made this decision.

Veterans Terrace is a true one-stop shop wedding venue. The location is beautiful and their options for lighting and decor will make your ceremony and reception beautiful as well. The event staff is amazing at setting everything up, making sure the day goes smoothly, and cleaning up at the end. Additionally, the planning process leading up to the event goes really smoothly with them at your side!

Beth and Allison at Veterans Terrace are boss chicks and made our day absolutely amazing! The venue is beautiful, especially with the new upgraded bridal suite and lower bar and cocktail lounge. We pushed the easy button with their decor and lighting package, and they did not disappoint! 10/10 Definitely recommend.

Best place to get married! Every single staff member is amazing! My dad made a comment that in terms of staff and their organization and knowledge and keeping the schedule and flow of the night that this was the best venue of all the weddings he has been a part of, the getting ready room was also so crucial for setting the mood and letting us stay relaxed while we prepped for our wedding! The dance floor being available while guests stayed upstairs made us feel like we had a very intimate private moment where we could just chat a bit and take it all in. We also had our wedding outdoors and it was perfect! I honestly will always and forever be grateful to veterans terrace for making my dream wedding not only come true, but also as stress free and enjoyable as possible! If I ever need to throw an event as big as a wedding I hope to be able to book veterans terrace - by far the best venue to book not just in burlington, but the surrounding area including milwaukee! They definitely really care about their brides and grooms!

Beth and Allison were so easy to work with. They had everything set up through the decoration package and my day was beautiful. The new bridal suite got my party perfectly and had the best photo ops. We loved how big the space was and the beautiful area for pictures inside and out. They were super affordable and we had the most magical day!

Veteran's Terrace is a gorgeous venue with wonderful staff that care about making your event the best ever! Their decorations package includes many beautiful options and allowed us to really not worry about a thing the day of. Many of our guests couldn't stop talking about how wonderful the venue was for multiple days! It was SO NICE to have the ceremony and the reception all in one beautiful building. Allison and Beth are great to work with, and they were very patient with this anxious bride! Weddings are expensive, but we found the convenience and beauty of the Veteran's Terrace to be worth the price.

First and foremost, thank you Beth, Allison, and crew for going above and beyond to make our wedding day amazing! Beth and Allison had consistent communication with us during our planning months and when the weather was less than ideal on our wedding day, they did everything they could behind the scenes to ease our stress and make our vision come to life indoors. We truly mean it when we say it was absolutely perfect! The set-up for the ceremony and reception was not only beautiful for pictures, but comfortable for our guests, the decorations and lighting provided in their package was gorgeous, and the bartenders and barback were personable and ensured our guests were happy all night long. To top it off, the staff did all the set-up, as well as the take down at the end of the night so we could truly enjoy our night to the very last minute with our family and friends. For a party that will happen only once in a lifetime, we couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else.

Veterans Terrace was an absolute breeze to work with. From start to finish, Beth and Allison were so helpful with planning and executing. The day of the wedding, we had nothing to deal with since we chose the decorating package. There was a chance of rain for our wedding and they waited to set up our ceremony outside until we knew for sure if the weather would cooperate. I can not say enough nice things about this venue and these women :)

Allison and Beth are the best to work with! We were nervous booking early 2021 due to the pandemic but they put our minds around ease moving forward. We had our ceremony and reception 8/20/22. Beth our first initial meeting made us feel like we were family and she made sure we got the most for our money. We felt like we knew her for years and were way more comfortable moving forward than other venues we have looked at. Veteran's Terrace offered a decoration and light package and I recommend to any future bride to take full advantage of this! They set it up and take it down you just tell them what you want. I was nervous but everything came out SO beautiful! They made sure our day went perfectly even with a forecast of thunderstorms, high winds, hail and an isolated tornado 🙃. The weather worked out perfectly like they said it would and we had our perfect ceremony on the terrace outside. Our friends and family are still raving that it was the best wedding they have been to! We will continue to recommend the special staff at Veterans Terrace.

I don’t even have the words to express how magical our wedding was at Veterans Terrace. I’m not even exaggerating when I say, it is THE MOST PERFECT wedding venue. There are so many gorgeous spots for photos, we didn’t even have to leave the grounds. We held our ceremony outdoors on the Memorial Terrace and I made my grand entrance with my dad from the top of the staircase, which was so fun and special. We also did our first dance on the terrace under the beautiful lights, while the sun was setting, with our guests watching from the balcony above… still gives me goosebumps. The venue is set in the perfect location with the river on the western side to capture beautiful sunset photos. I can’t even count how many guests commented on how beautiful the grounds and reception hall were. We even had many people tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. They just renovated their reception ballroom and it is modern, majestic, and stunning. Also, Beth the general manager is so personable and was so easy to work with. Allison, the event coordinator also was amazing. She was so organized and accommodating and never once made me feel bad for asking a thousand questions. In fact, she made us feel confident and relaxed because she handled everything so professionally. Both Beth and Allison went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty on our special day. Veterans Terrace is the full package and is set up perfectly to host an unforgettable wedding. If we could do it all over again (and I wish we could!) we would not change a single thing. Thank you so much to Beth, Allison, and the amazing crew at Veterans Terrace!

Veterans Terrace is the perfect place to host your wedding ceremony and reception! Beth and Allison go head over heels to make sure everything is perfect for your special day and they genuinely care about you. They recently made a few cosmetic changes in the liberty hall and it made the hall so much classier and super elegant. I would highly recommend Veterans Terrace to anyone! My friends and family can not stop gushing over how perfect everything was and how amazing the staff decorated for the ceremony and reception.

Veterans Terrace was a great venue for our wedding. The facility offers ample space to accompany any event ideas you may have with any amount of people you may want to host. The staff was 10/10 from the very beginning, to the end of the night. The staff takes charge of the event so the host can sit back and enjoy the event, and that is truly a life saver. Their lighting package brought the entire room together just the way we had imagined. In our opinion, Veterans Terrace offers the best bang for your buck when shopping for event venues, especially because the staff goes above and beyond what you would ever expect.

We got married on July 31st, 2020 at Veterans Terrace. We had our ceremony and reception there. It was incredible! Allison and Beth were great to work with from the beginning planning stages all the way through our special night. Allison helped work out all the details, give us recommendations for Covid restrictions, and help with any questions that we had. We received many compliments on how organized and clean the venue was. They also followed Covid restrictions very well.
The venue itself was incredible, large, various rooms, very clean and organized, and well lit for photos. There is also a bridal suite that can be used. The venue is located by a park / water which makes for great photo back drops.
I would strongly recommend Veterans Terrace for your wedding day!

Allison at Veteran's Terrace was amazing to work with! Honestly, all of the staff there were great to work with!! Allison was so sweet, helpful, easy to get along with, and easy to reach. She had a ton of great recommendations for our wedding and just helped the whole day come together wonderfully and perfectly. She was always available to answer my hundreds of questions and made my wedding vision come to life even better than I could have imagined! Veteran's Terrace is an amazing venue and I would 100% recommend them for any event! The river in the background is beautiful and we took pictures right on the property, which turned out amazing! My fiancé and I did our first dance on the Terrace outside, which was one of my favorite parts of the day/night and it made for beautiful pictures. They also have a HUGE variety of beautiful decorations/packages available for rent, which makes things more convenient if people choose to use them. Their lighting package is amazing and made the ballroom look so enchanting and magical when it was all lit up! I'm soo happy we chose to have our wedding at Veteran's Terrace!! It was truly the best day of our lives and the whole day was a magical dream. Allison and Beth were both there throughout the night, making sure everything was going smoothly and were available to help us with anything we needed. Having our wedding at Veteran's Terrace was everything we could have dreamed of and more!!!

Alison made sure all my questions were answered, worked with me to make my wedding image a reality, made sure everything was how I wanted it, was easy to reach, got back to me quickly, and made sure my wedding went smoothly. Plus the staff there were amazing and made sure the place looked beautiful, that my guests were happy, and that everything ran perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me plan my wedding at the location or a better team to make sure my wedding went smoothly. I had one less thing to worry about with them being the team for my wedding.

We primarily worked with Jan at Veterans Terrace and she was superb! She knows exactly what she's doing and is very conscious of getting you your money's worth. She's very quick with email responses and has a true passion for what she does. The venue itself is beautiful and has tons of space for large weddings.
They have 4 preferred caterers for the venue - we worked with Steve from Charcoal Grill (just across the street from the venue!). He was excellent and has clearly done this for years - he runs a well oiled machine with all his staff. The food was delicious and we got many compliments about our buffet :)
We loved having our reception here and would recommend it to anyone!

Our experience with Bill at Veteran's Terrace was nothing but special and amazing. Through out the entire planning process and even through until after the wedding Bill was there to answer any of our 2 million questions. I honestly could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Bill so much again for everything. I highly recommend this venue. The gorgeous views, amazing rooms, and wonderful staff are truly something special.

We had our rehearsal, ceremony, and reception at the Veteran's Terrace. I can't even count how many compliments we got on the venue's beauty. We chose VT because of its value and beauty (river, terrace, etc) and because of its proximity to the hotel, bars, and park for pictures. The proximity saved us $$ on transportation. It rained on our big day and Bill was very helpful with changing the ceremony space. Bill responded promptly to our questions pre-wedding and was very easy to work with. The spotlight on the river at night was in our wedding color (purple) which was a very nice touch and gave us unique pictures. Overall, we were extremely happy with the venue and service provided! I would recommend it to others!

The Veteran's Terrace is a beautiful place to have a wedding. We were married outside on their terrace, timed it just right between trains :) The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating in our efforts to make it personal. The remodel left a gorgeous venue.

My fiancé and I chose the Veteran’s Terrace in Burlington for our wedding. We thought it would be a great view, and convenient to everyone coming. NOT SO FAST. During the preparations, we planned an outdoor wedding, with all the décor you expect right out side. Terrible idea, just as we were about to say our vows a train came on through, blaring whistle and all! What a way to start our special day.
Christi isn’t so pleasant either. She has no clue how to run a wedding, and screwed up our party favours and didn’t place the right tables according to our plan.
The food was ok, but I can only imagine how it would be if they actually prepared it. The other manager – Bill – is not easy to work with either. He’s a very pompous and rude individual, and really had no class for the way they act.
There are so many other places close by I wish I had chosen instead.

Our wedding was at the end of September with all of the beautiful colors surrounding Veterans Terrace. The room we rented was absolutely beautiful and the staff we worked to insure a perfect day did an excellent job!

Beautiful new venue and a great backdrop for photos!! The staff is very helpful, every step of the planning was very organized. I feel that there could have been better communication with the bride/groom on the day of the event (however, nothing tragic happened). Overall VERY pleased.

We had our ceremony on the outdoor terrace, which was perfect. You can hear the water from the river, and the scenery is awesome. We didnt even need to spend a penny to decorate!
We had our reception inside, which is all brand new. Its so beautiful!! They have a "brides room" and "grooms room" which is nice for the wedding party to get ready in. The bathrooms are large, new, and exceptionally clean.
Overall, this is a perfect location for a wedding!
