Unfortunately, the experience leading up to the day was far more stressful than it should have been, and I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this venue to other brides. Since the time we booked until the wedding, communication with the venue was inconsistent, despite our contract stating, “we ask for 24 hours to reply.” In reality, most emails took weeks to receive a response and often required multiple follow-ups. As the wedding day approached and I tried to be more direct with my requests and express concern, I was met with varying (and unpredictable) levels of support. At times, our coordinator was helpful — offering insight into the flow of the day, taking on a few day-of tasks, and even kindly bringing coffee the morning of the wedding. However, more often than not, I felt like I was the only one ensuring my wedding would run smoothly — managing vendors, finalizing details, and problem-solving alone. Attention to detail and thoughtfulness were missing. While our contract stated that day-of coordination services would begin 60 days before the wedding, I found that this support was minimal at best. The “unlimited email and phone support” and “communication with vendors anytime within 60 days” were gross overstatements of what was offered to us. “Timeline creation” was also described as included in these services, but this was not provided outside of general recommendations after I had created the timeline myself. Furthermore, vendor communication was not proactively handled; some vendors still had unanswered questions the week of the wedding, and I ended up coordinating with them directly. The rehearsal was disorganized, with our coordinator unfamiliar with key details of our ceremony — often asking me what the plan was instead of leading family and friends through it. On the wedding day, it was clear the scope of the event required more support than one person could provide. Guests noted that supplies like toilet paper were not restocked, people were left unsure of where to go, and vendors arrived without anyone there to greet or direct them. A few days after the wedding, I learned that some decor items I had provided — such as a menu sign and petals for an aisle toss — were never displayed nor returned to my family. There were also multiple behind-the-scenes breakdowns in coordination that I only became aware of after the fact. Finally, we were disappointed to learn that the venue price dropped significantly — by several thousand dollars — within just months of our booking, which made us question the value of what we received. In summary, I do not believe the day-of coordination services we received matched what was outlined in our contract, and for the premium price we paid, we expected a much higher standard of care and professionalism. I hesitated to share this feedback publicly, but I believe improved communication and accountability are essential for this venue’s continued success. I would not want another bride to experience the kind of stress and disappointment that I felt. Vezalay is a promising venue with lots of potential. We wish the owners all the best as they continue to refine their services and realize everything this venue could be.

Our puppy was part of our wedding too and she took such good care of her all night on top of making sure our ceremony and reception ran smoothly. She even brought our pup out for the last dances and let her celebrate with us!! I cannot say enough good things about Sharon and the whole staff at Vezalay. Her husband created a timeline for us and bound it together in such a cute keepsake booklet so we will always have something to remember our day. The owner Doug was also a pleasure to work with and always got back to us with questions in a timely manner. The bridal cottage is the perfect addition to get ready with your girls the morning of and to stay the night in as newlyweds the night of the wedding. I could go on and on about the wonderful experience we had with Vezalay and would recommend this venue and amazing staff to anyone!!

Sharon provided me with some of her favorite vendors, and the day was flawless. She went above and beyond to ensure the day was perfect, and it was absolutely better than perfect! Because of her, I was able to enjoy being with my daughter. I truly believe Sharon is the best wedding coordinator out there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving your job so much!
