Going into wedding planning, we knew we were looking for a space for 85 to 100 guests and we wanted an outdoor area for guests to enjoy during the reception. We fell in love with the Viceroy Chicago the moment we toured - The property has a beautiful art deco design aesthetic, large terrace for an outdoor ceremony and reception, and they offer a complete food and beverage package. Over the last year, we had a wonderful experience planning our wedding weekend with Emily working through all of the details. The Viceroy team was responsive, professional, and worked with our third party vendors to bring our wedding to life. We had personalized attention throughout the entire planning process - No question, detail, or request went unanswered. And on the day of the wedding, Emily and the banquet director Randy were on site to make sure our day ran smoothly and to schedule with no hiccups! Feedback from our guests was positive with comments on the beautiful spaces, terrace, and of course the food and drinks. We held our day after brunch at Pandan and had a great experience there as well. The team used our flowers to decorate the tables and they roped off a section of the rooftop terrace for our guests. This was the perfect casual and relaxed brunch space to close out our weekend. Overall, we would absolutely recommend the Viceroy Chicago for a wedding. The combination of the beautiful spaces, wedding package, and the personal attention were fantastic!

We hosted our September wedding at the Viceroy Hotel in Chicago and could not have had a better experience! The entire staff there are so incredibly kind, accommodating, patient and helpful, from the coordinators we worked with to plan the event (Emily and Michelle) to the fantastic service and bar staff during the evening. The event could not have gone more smoothly and could not have been more beautiful, and the team at the Viceroy was on hand the entire night (and the day leading up to it!) to ensure that everything we had discussed was in place and the event flowed smoothly and stuck to our timeline. There were no delays and no issues at all (and that's saying a lot for a 7+-hour event!), and even if there were, I'm confident the Viceroy staff would have handled it quickly and professionally. If you are looking to host an event or small wedding in Chicago, the Viceroy is a fantastic spot with a great team in place!

Viceroy Chicago is a stunning wedding venue located in Chicago, IL, constructed from a landmark building 120 years old. This luxury property is set on the historic Gold Coast and reflects the city's dynamic energy. The modernist glass tower structure celebrates Art Deco design, and the interior innovates a contemporary take on mid-century glamour. You can make this opulent venue the setting for a truly fabulous celebration. Viceroy Chicago has a wide variety of event spaces in which you can host your important festivities. The Lakeview Terrace on the fourth floor has amazing views of Lake Michigan and the Gold Coast, ideal for both breaks in your proceedings and outdoor dining. Adjoining this is the hotel's largest indoor space - the Cedar Ballroom. This elegant high-design room features floor-to-ceiling windows along with drop-down screens and black-out drapes. The Ballroom can be divided into North and South areas to meet your needs. There also is a range of other event spaces, both indoors and outdoors, to serve as breakout areas or for more intimate occasions. A Somerset full buyout can accommodate up to 230 guests in a banquet or up to 250 guests in a reception. Viceroy Chicago hosts single-faith, multi-faith, and non-religious wedding ceremonies, from intimate elopements to gala extravaganzas. These premises also welcome civil unions, commitment ceremonies, second weddings, and vow renewal ceremonies. The venue staff can provide you and your guests with a range of services to facilitate your wedding. These include on-site accommodations, catering, bartending, event rentals, and more.

everything together ourselves! The hotel itself is so beautiful and our guests really enjoyed having access to the roof top pool and Somerset bar and restaurant throughout the weekend. Our rooftop ceremony was beautiful. The staff were so attentive and professional. The only drawback was because the venue is also a hotel, we were quite restricted on our room block (only about 10 rooms, no more) and trying to plan for things like rehearsal dinner and getting ready space was difficult as any additional room would require buying the spaces out. Once we were a few days out from the wedding and they hadn't booked anything else in those spaces, we were allowed to use them, but this was a little frustrating to even decide where we'd do our rehearsal and pictures for the day. Overall it doesn't detract from how lovely our wedding was here and I'd still recommend the Viceroy as a venue!

our whole experience that weekend. My only complaint is that it was raining the weekend we booked the suite and couldn't take advantage of the outdoor balcony! Furthermore, the hotel staff treated us very well and sent us a congratulatory wedding basket full of fun Chicago goods, despite us not getting married at the hotel. Great experience!

We booked the Viceroy for our smaller wedding reception, but unfortunately had to cancel at the last minute due to the City's Covid restrictions. We ended up staying at the hotel ...

for the weekend anyways to have a mini "staycation." Corinne and David went above and beyond the entire wedding process, ultimate cancellation and for our hotel stay. Our family already decided that the next event we host will be at the Viceroy. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and I wish we were able to have our wedding at the Viceroy.

ould not be reopening until 2021 two months before our wedding day. I reached out to the Viceroy, not only were they prompt to respond to my inquiry, but Fabrizia was an absolute gem to work with. She answered every single one of my one million questions throughout the planning process. In addition to hosting our ceremony, we also added on a rehearsal dinner the night before. Merissa had the most wonderful menu suggestions - and dinner was absolutely delicious (I still dream about the salmon)! Day of our wedding, it started to rain right before our champagne toast and ceremony out on the Lakeview terrace. Within seconds Corinne and staff had umbrellas available to our guests. Every detail was impeccable and thoughtful. I also should mention that we stayed at the Viceroy for the entire weekend and their rooms are fab. Your guests will feel like royalty staying in any of the rooms at the Viceroy! 10/10 would recommend to any bride or groom looking for a beautiful venue space right in the middle of the Gold Coast. The Viceroy truly made our wedding day a dream come true! I cannot wait to go back :)

er with our decision, we were literally blown away the entire weekend by all 3 venues. Everything was setup exactly as we had imagined, there was phenomenal service all around and many personal touches along the way. Some of our guests had severe allergies and we were extremely impressed with the attention to detail all of the staff had to ensure the entire night was allergen free and safe for all of our guests. Our servers were unbelievably accommodating and attentive, we felt such immense hospitality from the entire team. As for the food, every course was delicious and showcased a wide variety of dishes. The pastry chef also made us an outstanding wedding cake. As for the Viceroy, we were amazed that all of the hotel staff seemed to know our names and that it was our wedding weekend, even those we hadn't formally met. The hotel graciously sent gifts up to our room throughout our stay and had additional gifts for our guests. Overall, we were so thrilled with our choice to use Viceroy, Devereaux and Somerset for our wedding. Their staff, food and hospitality was impeccable, they helped make our wedding day incredibly special and memorable!
