Viceroy Santa Monica

e in Laguna Niguel but decided to broaden our search for venues and couldn't be happier with that decision. I called a couple of locations in Santa Monica and was appalled by their customer service. I was actually taken aback and discouraged thinking maybe I had made a mistake in looking in that area. Luckily, there was another place on my list and after just one call I knew we had found our guy, Will Joseph. Will took my phone call immediately. I didn't have to wait for a call back, follow up, etc. (all of which just stress a bride out). He was knowledgeable, helpful, up front, creative and friendly, a big change from what I had experienced prior. I felt as though he shared our same enthusiasm and that he was "on our team". It was refreshing to say the least. As the months went by he never stopped communicating and was available for meetings, questions and emails galore. On the eve of the reception we arrived to the hotel with our crew in tow and were greeted by more friendly staff. We had a beautiful room and Jennifer Werner was also very helpful keeping track of all of our reservations. At this point we were ready to enjoy ourselves, and we did. Dinner the night before at Whist was a great sneak peak to the quality of the food we would be served. The staff treated us like true VIP's. We even had some after dinner drinks in the Library with our parents and grandparents and had a blast. The day of the reception went off without a hitch. While we were relaxing in our room and getting ready we had total confidence in the setup that was simultaneously taking place. My husband and I were so impressed with the food, decor and overall ambiance we were so thankful for pictures because we couldn't take it all in at one time! The decks looked picture perfect. There were no (unwanted) surprises and it was exactly as Will said. Sadly, the bride and groom didn't get to enjoy any of the food; we were too excited to see all of the guests. Yet, the fact that our friends and family are still talking about the food and party makes up for it! (*Note: have your planner or friend/family set plates aside for you and find even 5 minutes to eat them, you will need it later!) The staff for the event was also top notch and the bartenders and security were patient, yet efficient. They were always available but never "in the way". The chefs worked hard and prepared some delicious fare, as reported by guests. They also took a couple personal ideas I created and not only used them, but improved them, which was exciting. Overall, we had a great experience from start to finish. We appreciate all of the hard work from everyone involved: The Viceroy Staff, Vanessa at Alchemy Fine Events- San Diego, Diane at Pastels Florist- Huntington Beach, Meredith at ZoomTheory Photography- Long Beach, Yuko at Vanilla Bake Shop- Santa Monica, Josh at DJ Josh One- Long Beach, Brent at Foto Cabina- Anaheim, Nathan at LightenUp Inc.- Los Angeles and we have so much gratitude for Will helping us create and execute our perfect reception. If you are looking for a venue that really does have it all... Look no further, you have found it!

he food was excellent, the service was impeccable and the location and ambiance were more than we hoped for. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful and our guests went home talking about the great time they had. We hope to host more celebrations at the Viceroy in the future.

NG. Our tasting was fabulous; the catered reception was even better. We even went with their in-house pastry chef even though the city has plenty of specialized wedding cake vendors. The wine list was exceptional. And finally, our venue catering contact was professional and detailed; she may as well have been our wedding coordinator.
