The quality and authenticity of Vicki’s photography is truly fine art. Her talent and creativity is beyond anyone out there. Our photos are beautiful and we are so pleased with the way she was able to capture all of the special moments and details of the day. Vicki’s personality is easy going and made us feel relaxed in front of the camera. We could not say enough wonderful things about our photos and how glad we were to have chosen Vicki as out wedding photographer. We wish we had hired her to come to our honeymoon but will definitely be reaching out to her to capture life’s next important moments.

It was an absolute pleasure having Vicki Grafton as our wedding photographer! She was able to capture each of our wedding moments in the most impactful, seamless, and beautiful ways. Because she works primarily in film her photography has a genuine and authentic quality to it that is simply unforgettable. You can tell that she is very creative and wants to sincerely make your day as memorable as possible. Not only did she completely re-define what a good photographer should be (we have never seen photographs as good!), Vicki was also available during every stage of the planning process; creating and helping us fine tune our schedule and what we wanted it to include. I cannot say enough good things about her other then you would be lucky to have her, we know we were!

Vicki took beautiful photos of our wedding! I'm looking at all the photos now, a year later, and I love what a great job she did catching all the details of our day. She was so friendly and easy to work with. We learned about her after my brother and sister-in-law got married and used her for their wedding. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted to contact Vicki. She also did our engagement session and a pet portrait session with our two pups. Her style is beautiful - soft and romantic. And we love the quality of all the prints we ordered from her. We definitely recommend her!!

Vicki was one of the best vendors we had at our wedding last year. She has an amazing aesthetic and style that made our weddings pictures one of kind and extraordinarily beautiful. She has a wonderful eye for lighting, positioning, looks, but most of all--she knew how to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera so that our images were natural and full of love. Our wedding planner recommended her to us and we met Vicki at her home office in Fairfax. She showed us wedding photographs she shot and we knew right from the start that she was our pick. Vicki was very helpful throughout the process from engagement photos to the wedding photos. She sent us guides on what to wear and even recommended a stylist (Julie Jackson) for clothes, hair, and makeup. I will definitely recommend Vicki because she is a true professional and by looking at our pictures--I know she loves what she does. Vicki was one of the best investments we made on our wedding day. We knew that photography was one of the top things on our list that matter to us after the venue. We found Vicki using Style Me Pretty, we loved her style and the beautiful way she captured light/sun using her using film (which is much more beautiful then digital photos) vs digital photography. We emailed Vicki and right away she was VERY accommodating with my schedule and my husband schedule for our first meeting. We previously made appointments with other photographers some just wanted to Skype/Facetime others would want us to meet at a coffee shops, which we guess is normal since their schedule was pretty busy too. But Vicki she invited us to her studio at her home and walked us through her process, asked us relevant questions (how we met, what is our style/theme, what are we looking for, etc.), if we felt overwhelmed she would make recommendations, etc. It just felt more personable with Vicki compare to other photographers, right away we booked Vicki for our June 2014 wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. She did our engagement photos, which turned out very beautiful we used a stylist via Vicki recommendation (Julie Jackson) to help us with outfits and my make and hair. On the wedding day Vicki's team - Assistant Allie and Stylist Megan, arrived early and dressed professionally. Overall they photos from our wedding day turned out beautiful and we are so proud of how it turned out. I highly recommend Vicki to any bride, remember not only you are hiring a talented photographer (Vicki) but you are hiring someone that will document a very important part of your life in the most beautiful way possible! Vicki photographed our intimate elopement in Frostburg, MD. I contacted her after I fell in love with the timeless and beautiful photos on her blog. Vicki answered all my emails promptly and thoroughly. She created a custom package for our elopement. I don’t know anything about weddings or photographs, so I relied heavily on her expertise. She suggested a timeline and helped me coordinate with our venue and videographer. She recommended a florist, and even offered to pick up the bouquet and boutonniere on her way to Frostburg. When we met her on the day of the ceremony, we immediately knew that we made the right decision. We felt comfortable with her. She was friendly and warm, but also methodical and efficient. Our photos were ready when she said we would be, and we are so happy with how they turned out. The photos are absolutely stunning, and they captured the spirit of the day perfectly. I highly recommend Vicki – she is awesome!!

When it's all over, you have your husband, your memories, and your photographs. These are the most important things to be happy with, in my book. I wasn't overly picky with flowers or table decoration, but I was picky with finding our photographer. I wanted natural-looking photographs that captured the day simply and beautifully, and captured who we are as a couple. With Vicki, I got every bit of this and more. I couldn't be happier with how our photographs turned out, and they are a testament to her talent as a photographer. Her photographs are the natural, beautiful captures of our day that I had envisioned. She is worth every penny we spent. She was responsive, organized, professional, and a pleasure to work with. And, not only did she capture our day perfectly, but she helped us get organized well in advance of our wedding by asking some really good questions and helping us work through our timeline and related details. The day of, we just relaxed and had a blast, and she captured every moment we wanted - not a thing was missed. I feel we ended up with better shots than what I've seen of other photographers at the equivalent price. I cannot recommend Vicki Grafton enough. We were very lucky and thankful to have had her for our day, and we are ecstatic over how our photos turned out.

When my husband and I sat down to start prioritizing for our wedding (September 2012), the photographer was my number one priority. I contacted a local photographer who did not provide wedding services to ask her if she had any recommendations for us. She provided me with a list of approximately 30+ local photographers. I had a vision in my head of how I foresaw the venue and photographs to come and with that I began searching on the 30+ websites. It wasn't long before I found Vicki's site. Once I canvassed her site, I knew right away she was the one! Her attention to detail and creativeness really caught my eye. Vicki was quick to respond to our initial inquiry and at our request we confirmed details through a conference call. During our phone conversation, I told Vicki - I just know, I know that you are going to be able to capture our wedding day perfectly! On the day of our wedding I experienced a "wow" moment that I will never forget. I was arranging the favor table and I look up and I see Vicky taking pictures of my beautiful wedding dress hanging underneath a vintage chandellier in the outside arbor area and I immediately got chill bumps. This particular picture is one of my favorites and I wish that I could post it to this site for all of you to see. Vicki did a WONDERFUL job of capturing our wedding day as I feel like I'm reliving my wedding each time I look at the pictures. We just recently received our slideshow (which incorporates our wedding precession songs) and every time I watch it I tear up! Vicki's natural eye for finding beauty is purely amazing! She is great to work with, she's very laid back and was extremely helpful in planning the timeline for our wedding. She's proactive, she plans ahead and is very thorough. I HIGHLY recommend Vicki!!!

I love Vicki and I love the work she does!! After finding her on a local blog, I checked out her website and fell in love! Her photos are very beautiful, stunning, and elegant. Vicki is also awesome to work with. She is professional but she is also very laid back and easy going, she is incredibly sweet and funny, and you can tell that she really loves to be a photographer. Her photos are very artistic and very high quality, and they all look like they belong in magazines. Vicki used to be a wedding planner and stylist so she knows what she is looking for with shots and her shots turn out beautifully. Vicki was so helpful along the way with all the questions I asked her. I even asked Vicki for suggestions and recommendations on other vendors. I also decided at the very, very last minute that I wanted to add draping to my venue and Vicki got me all the information from the other vendor and helped me work with them to make it happen. For my wedding, Vicki helped me in planning how much time to allow getting ready at my venue, to make sure we got enough photos, and what to plan for after the ceremony. We had a lot of family photos that we wanted to get and she told us ahead of time that she was a little worried about being able to get enough pictures of my husband and me and asked if we would mind if we took more couple photos after dinner, which we didn’t mind at all. It was nice to be able to know exactly what to expect and know ahead of time what the timing would look like. Vicki got our photos back to us in about a month, which was awesome since a lot of my friends waited months to get theirs back. She even posted two photos of me the day after the wedding so I had something to see right away. Vicki is incredibly thoughtful, professional, and talented and my husband and I are beyond happy with our photos. I highly recommend Vicki!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Vicki! She was absolutely wonderful, and one of the best decisions of our wedding planning process was to hire her! Vicki was more than a photographer for our wedding - she went above and beyond, was always willing to offer suggestions and advice (on other vendors, ideas, advice, recommendations, etc) and was always professional and quick to respond to questions. It was so clear she loves weddings and her work, and she is great at what she does. We felt that her prices were very reasonable and we got a great value. All of her work is very high quality, and it is obvious that she puts so much time and effort into each client. Vicki made us feel very comfortable during our engagement session (we were worried we would be un-photogenic but thanks to her we loosened up and they turned out wonderfully!). And, our wedding photos were fantastic. During the wedding ceremony and the reception, you couldn’t even tell she was there, but she captured every moment. Looking through our photos, we said many times, “wow she caught that! We didn’t even know she was there”. She even made us a slideshow from the wedding photos that we love and will treasure forever. We also hired her wedding planning company, My Simple Details, to help us with weekend-of coordination and that was also a great decision! I highly recommend them as well. We worked with Vicki, Zoe and Megan. The day before our wedding, there was a huge storm in DC – it knocked out power to our wedding venue, and a tree fell through a house on the wedding site. We had to move our reception to my husband’s parents’ house in a few hours, and My Simple Details helped us make a seamless transition and everything turned out wonderfully! Even though it was a new reception site, it looked just as we envisioned. They worked with our vendors to help us communicate the change of plans, and we couldn’t have pulled it off without them. I highly recommend Vicki to everyone!

Vicki's photographs speak for themselves -- they're elegant and stunning and simply beautiful. But what we loved just as much about Vicki, is how much she truly loves photographing weddings and how much she cares about her clients. Vicki went above and beyond for our September 2012 wedding in Shenandoah National Park. She volunteered to pick-up our cake and my flowers and she took great care in arriving early to our ceremony location to pick out THE perfect spots for our ceremony and for pictures. Vicki has a gift behind the camera and she also has a gift of making people feel at ease and comfortable. We could not be happier! And, almost as important, we received our photos within 4 weeks of our wedding. Perfect experience.

We chose Vicki as our photographer initially because we were impressed with her work- she takes such clear, fresh, and artistic photos. Both my amateur photographer father-in-law, who values technique, and I, valuing artistic aesthetic, were able to agree on Vicki because her work is just that- beautiful and also technically wonderful quality! In addition, Vicki was so helpful in selecting locations for our engagement shoot and our photos on the day of the wedding. She goes to the place ahead of time to scope out the best spots to take photos, showing that she is truly a professional. She even brought props for our shoot! She is such a thoughtful person and offers an amazing service. She even helped us plan the basic timeline of our wedding in great detail because we weren't sure how to plan the photos and incorporate them into the day. This shows just how experienced she is and how qualified she is for the job. Vicki got our photos back to us in a timely manner, and was very professional, efficient, and creative on our wedding day. We love her laid-back attitude. I would recommend her to anyone- totally worth the investment!

I would absolutely recommend Vicki for engagement photos and wedding photos. She is very responsive to emails and flexible. She asked for a shot list for the day of so you don't have to think of the photos you wanted to capture. Vicki has a true eye for photographs that look very natural and elegant. I was extremely picky about who I chose for photographs and Vicki checked all of my boxes. We had Vicki and an second shooter so I am confident we haven't missed a moment of our big day!
