r, at her Manhattan studio about a year prior to my wedding. I had explained to her that I normally do not wear makeup and it is incredibly important to me to look like me on my wedding day. After she applied my makeup and showed me I couldn’t believe my skin looked so naturally glowy without feeling like I had makeup on. She also walked me through several different hairstyles for the day-of– it was a true trial! After we were done with the trial, she asked about my evening. I told her I was going to go out to dinner with my now husband. She quickly switched over my hairstyle so it would be appropriate for dinner. On my wedding day, Vicky and Jen arrived early and were set up within 5 minutes. They took care of me, my four bridesmaids and two moms. Let me also add that we were a group of Asians and non-Asians and everyone looked flawless.I also added touchup service to the original service because I couldn’t decide on the hairstyle. Vicky changed my hair and makeup two times during my wedding. Each change up was more beautiful than the previous. I couldn’t believe how beautiful she made me look and how set the hair and makeup was even after soooo many tears and intense dance moves. On top of her expert hair and makeup skills, Vicky is truly a pleasure to be around. She is fun, calming and knows all the wedding tricks (tissues in the bridesmaid bouquets). If I ever need hair and makeup professionally done I will only go to Vicky. Thank you again!

ncreased cost per person without telling me, and now not giving me back my security deposit SO STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENDOR while there are so many better ones in NYC I will just write the facts shortly. 1. My wedding got postponed from March 2021 to April 2022 2. All other vendors made the change without additional charge but VickyC5 did, of $200 3. And they came back with $40 increase in “Service Charge” and mentioned nothing else 4. I asked what this was, and asked if there is any other charge, just to make sure 5. They came back saying: “Service charge is 20% of base contract price. We hope this clears things up for you. (Service charge will be fluctuated based on base amount) If it gets lower, would you ask this question? That $100.00 offer will be void and null, because of wedding date changes.(it is clearly written on the contract, it will be $100.00 if the wedding is on Mar 2021) It will be $150.00 per person for H&M, for wedding in April 2022” 6. What does it mean “would you ask this question?” Can I not ask a question as a customer? 7. Had I not ask this question for $100 offer, they would’ve ripped off another $400 since I have 6 additional bridesmaids and 2 mothers 8. With this rudeness and lie, their apology was not sincere at all. So I decided that I cannot trust these people on the day I am supposed to be the happiest, and canceled the service and asked for refund for security deposit 9. It was non-refundable when I signed the contract, but they first broke the contract by asking $200 extra and $50 extra per person so I am demanding my deposit back Just stay away from these horrible people for your sake. Also for all couples who are postponed like us, hope everything goes well with you all!

the wedding. Yoomi was able to work with me (and my extensions) to preserve the look and hairstyle I wanted. Jina was so cute and attentive with my makeup. The bridesmaids and moms looked great. Vicky was also flexible in working out a package for me. Overall, very happy :)

s our head stylist. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful on our special day. My husband was really apprehensive in having any makeup done, but he looked even more handsome than I could imagine. She didn't overcake my face with makeup, nor did it feel heavy. It felt natural. She was very professional and her team was able to get a group of more than 10 people ready within our time frame. A plus? I cried so much during my wedding, but the makeup still looked flawless. I highly recommend Vicky C5 for a bride who does not have to worry, but allow professionals handle the heavy work. They will make you more beautiful than you already are!

The day of, Vicky and team showed up promptly at our Airbnb and quickly arranged the tables in order to provide the best working space. They laid out an impressive inventory of makeup onto the dining table and got to work! They were experts about the timeline and knew how to split up each person so that they can eat, use the bathroom and drink mimosas in between. Vicky and team knew exactly the look everyone wanted and was able to expertly adjust to everyone's face shapes and hair textures. Vicky was also very patient and taught my curious mom about various products and techniques. They were so prompt on time and cleaned up everything quickly and efficiently. The makeup and hair lasted all night through tears and sweat! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vicky and team to anyone!

Lo and behold, they were giving free quick trials at the Expo and my then-Fiancé and I loved the look that Jina created for me in the 10 minutes that she worked. It was simple, elegant and natural. Long story short, I was able to book them for my wedding--Jina for make-up and Hera for hair. The process was very easy, they communicated with me well, answered all my questions efficiently via e-mail or via phone. They worked on a total of 9 people for my wedding and they did it flawlessly on time. And when one of my bridesmaids wasn't totally satisfied with her hair, Hera was more than willing to fix it. It was so nice working with this team and it was a pleasure that you were able to help me and my girls get ready on this special day. Thank you again!!!

nd! I had a wonderful trial with her a few months before my wedding and knew right away that I wanted to hire her to do my makeup and hair on my special day. Being a makeup lover myself, finding the right makeup artist was essential for me, but as an Asian woman on the east coast, it is not that easy to find an artist who can enhance my features in a flattering way for both real-life and in photography. It’s clear that the VICKYC5 team knows how to do makeup for all kinds of face and eye shapes and I was so impressed with Alice’s work that I hired the team to do my makeup and hair for my bridal shower too :) Since Alice was traveling, Hera did my bridal shower makeup which was also amazing! I will say their prices are on the higher end but you truly get what you pay for and they are worth every penny!!! On my wedding day the team of 3 artists arrived on time and I appreciated Alice’s calm and gentle presence as she and the team worked their magic on me, my 6 bridesmaids, and 2 mothers. They were so efficient and receptive to what each of us wanted so in the end everyone felt and looked beautiful! I’m also so glad that I hired them to stay for a few more hours so that my hairstyle could be changed from an updo for the ceremony to a more flowy look for the reception. They even helped do a makeshift bustle of my dress before reception began. They are just so experienced with weddings and it really shows. I can’t say enough about their professionalism, talent, and attention to detail. PACKAGE: $1950 includes Engagement Photoshoot makeup, Trial Hair and Makeup, Bridal/Bridesmaid/Mother hair and makeup on-site of wedding hotel, all tips and tax. I did 2 additional eyelash extension sessions for an additional $100/each session. Overall, prepare to pay at least $2K depending on your needs. PROS: They are flexible, responsive, and customized each bridesmaid's look. For my look, I had a 2.5 hour trial session where we did 3 hair styles and 2 makeup looks. Vicky is very thorough and you will feel taken care of. She threw in my engagement photo session makeup for free, which I appreciated. I also REALLY appreciated her arriving at 5:45AM at my wedding hotel (an hour outside of manhattan) to start the beauty process. She is truly the best. CONS: NONE. I would readily go back to Vicky for other beauty needs - formal occasions, hair up-do's, etc. They are pricey, but I got a lot done for my price so I'm happy. Prepare to pay in cash for your final payment.

Considering I was up at 5am to have my makeup done, the fast action and dedication of Vicky C5 was amazing. They are such kind and accommodating people! Also, you know your makeup was done well when it looks the same for over 12 hours without touch up! I would without a doubt recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great makeup artist.

with their spa and it was really amazing. To spice up your wedding makeup and hair, I recommend changing up your hair and makeup from the ceremony to reception =) everyone was really impressed that my makeup and hair changed from one event/venue to another.

se Vicky listened to my ideas of what i like and did them for me. Then she showed me what she thinks looks best on me (after showing her a pic of my wedding dress). This actually really opened my eyes because I went for a look completely different from what I originally thought I wanted. She isn't pushy about it, she gives her input but is more than willing to do the style that you like best. Amy did my makeup beautifully. I just wanted a simple natural look and she delivered on that. It really didn't feel like I was wearing much makeup at all. I truly recommend them!

I don't know if it was their facials in particular or just the fact that I was paying more attention to my skincare regimen, but my skin was the best it has been in a long time for the wedding. I had several concerns after the hair/makeup trial, but on the day of the wedding, Vicky and her team (she came with 4 other people just for us!) did an amazing job and really listened to what I wanted instead of being pushy. Just a tip, their honest/blunt remarks when it comes to your appearance should not be taken too seriously, as this is just a Korean cultural thing. Will definitely be returning for more facials and other hair/makeup needs in the future!
