I don’t even know where to start with Victor. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! We had Victor at our September wedding. I was a little nervous about the music because I wanted everyone to dance all night long. Victor put our minds at ease and he did not disappoint. People are still messaging us saying how amazing the music was and how it catered to everyone. People were dancing all night! We loved the DJ and band because you cannot get that at a lot of places. The planning process was a breeze! We had a few long meetings with Victor that went over every detail but it also felt like we were meeting with a friend. He is so passionate and it comes out in his work. I’m going to miss working with him because we had so much fun! Victor even came up to us at one point in the night and told us to go sit and eat. I don’t think I would have been able to pull away if it wasn’t for him. He truly cares about his clients and it shows. Do not hesitate! Book him now! I promise you won’t be disappointed. WILL NOT DISAPPOINT! Victor and his team were the bow that tied the wedding together! We met with Victor so far in advance from my wedding so we had time to “interview” a few vendors. We booked Victor on the spot after our meeting! Victor has a huge personality and a heart of gold! He made the entire wedding process a breeze! After the wedding I can’t even begin to say how many people complimented us on our entertainment. From the introductions down to the last song, and everything in between Victor and his team made it a night to remember! We got compliments on all the transitions and how nothing felt rushed. My husband and I saw Victor when he and the band performed at our friend’s wedding - he made such an impression that I made sure I got his card at the end of the night. As soon as we had a date, we booked him without even looking at another vendor. Victor is extremely personable and easy to work with. His passion shines through in everything he does. No detail is left untouched! We had 2 lengthy meetings with him that paid off - I wouldn’t change a thing from the night of our wedding. He completely understood our style, preferences, and personalities and crafted a playlist that catered perfectly to us. He understood our desire to keep everyone up and dancing - he’s an expert at what he does and made sure to do so without interrupting the flow of the dinner service. I met Victor at my sister's wedding in 2006 and our family members STILL talk about him and his talent. So, I did some research and found that Victor was still DJing, but with an added bonus that no one else offered - a band! After speaking with Victor for just a few minutes, my husband and I knew we wanted to hire him. We saw how passionate and talented he was and not to mention, we never heard of both a DJ and a band before; it's the best of both worlds! My husband and I cannot recommend Victor enough! Everyone at our wedding danced all night long! He truly loves his job and it shows. His attention to detail is insane (in the BEST possible way). He wants your day to be the greatest day just as much as you do! He knows this business inside and out, and had wonderful ideas for our big day that we never even would have thought of. Victor and crew were incredible! We had Victor as our DJ / Band for our July 2017 wedding and we were so happy and pleased with the results. When we first met him, we were blown away with his enthusiasm and excitement for our wedding. Victorf*ckingamazing! I’m the bride who honestly didn’t care much about her wedding. I wanted it to beautiful, but I wasn’t interested in details. I chose Victor because he was highly recommended to me by my mother from a previous wedding she attended, so I figured why not!? I instantly LOVED his personality! He didn’t look at my fiancé and I like we were just a typical & groom, he actually wanted to get to know us, know why our bridal party was so special and what music made us who we were. Now remember, we got married TWO years ago. I started a career, bought a new place, and added a puppy to the mix, plus attended numerious weddings afterwards. Never have I seen someone exceed Victors talent! People til this day, talk about how much fun they had at my wedding because of “MY DJ.” This man and his band are absolutely incredible! After two year of all The money I spent on my dress, flowers, and venue, VICTOR is the first thing that comes to people’s minds! I cannot day enough good things about Him, you will not regret!

Victor is THE BEST. He will transform your wedding reception. The day we met Victor we knew he was our man. He is extremely passionate about what he does and it completely came thru the night of our wedding at the Glen Manor House. He has a very unique concept and our guests were blown away by his band-dj mix. My biggest concern when picking entertainment was finding a good mix of energy and classiness....I did not want my wedding to sound like a WWE event but I also wanted it to be fun and exciting. Victor provided the perfect balance of fun and class. If you hire Victor you are not hiring a company that "djs wedding" but you are getting someone sharing their life long passion with your guests. Just book him. Seriously. Just book. Victor is amazing. He is easy to work with, thorough is an understatement, he is dedicated, motivated and above all...the guy freaking loves what he does. What happens when you love what you do? You're great at what you do. Upon meeting him for the first time I knew that I had to just seal the deal. He loves his clients - he truthfully acts as if you are the only client he has ever had even though he had a wedding the night before and will have one the night after yours. He was punctual, detailed....the sheets of paper you go through when you sign on as a client detail every bridal party name, how you know them, how long your parents have been together, your story with your spouse, music sheets. He seriously puts time and thought into each and every little detail. I could go on and on...I really do not have enough good things to say about the guy. Not only is he stand up in the sense of a person, truly a great and genuine guy....he is a stand up and well worth the investment, DJ. We loved him, our guests loved him...I will truly miss working with him. So as I stated, just book. You wont be disappointed.

Wedding Date: 11/14/15 Having a good DJ or band at your wedding should be at the top of your priorities list. Your guests having a good time at your wedding is 100% directly dependent upon who you have DJ'ing or playing at your event. Victor Events DJ is the best in Rhode Island - hands down. He is who you want to book for your wedding. Victor and his band absolutely CRUSHED IT at my wedding!! My wife and I went a little above our original budget to get Victor but we are SO glad we did - he's worth it. The dance floor was packed all night long, and just about everyone stayed until the very end. Not only was the flow of music PERFECT for the evening, but it appealed to everyone there. Old, young, Portuguese and non-Portuguese guests at our wedding loved the music. Victor's true talent showed up in full that day. Not only is he an expert at the actual art of DJ'ing, but he has an innate ability to read the crowd and understand what they want or what they don't want. He can gauge what makes the crowd pumped up and what makes them return to his seats. But let me tell you, the only reason why people ever went back to their seats that night was to get a drink of water because they were so tired from dancing their butts off!! One other thing - just as important as the actual DJ'ing is MC'ing. Victor is a terrific MC. He's got a great voice, and his upbeat personality comes through and really gets everyone excited. And Victor is very diligent and careful about getting all the information correct (names, relationships, etc.) - he made zero mistakes at our wedding. He's the best in the business and you'd be making a mistake by not booking him for your wedding. We got nothing but positive feedback from our guests about our reception and Victor and his bandmates (who totally ROCKED OUT) were a huge reason why. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

My husband and I attended a wedding about four years ago. The entertainment was beyond what we could have ever imagined...best wedding we had even been to. When we asked the bride and groom who the DJ was, they introduced us to Victor. Since that day, it has been our absolute dream to have Victor at our wedding and Victor made that dream come true. Victor and his crew are professional, personable and down right enjoyable to be around. To say they rocked our wedding would be an understatement. From the moment my husband and I met Victor we knew he was the guy for the job! When we left our first meeting we felt as though we made a friend, he is just so awesome ! Victor and his band are absolutely spectacular. They are so unique and they made our wedding even better and more memorable then we could have ever dreamed of. We had seen victor events band at my cousins wedding a couple of summers ago and absolutely loved them! We saw people dancing that never usually step foot on the dance floor! When we got engaged there was no doubt that's who we wanted to be at our wedding. The Dj & live music combination is just amazing. It really brings more energy to the room. Our wedding was a month ago and everyone is still raving about how fun and amazing they were. My sister who's also engaged is already setting up a meeting with victor. He is so personable that you can't help but feel like immediate friends. He exudes love for what he does & his attention to detail, not only about the wedding day but also about us and our families was incredible! We would highly recommend hiring them. Already can't wait to see them at my sisters wedding!!!

I recommend this band/DJ highly and completely without reservation. You could not possibly have a bad wedding if Victor is involved. People still can't stop talking about my wedding - from all age brackets. He takes the time to formulate the right mixes for the group and put in what's important for the bride and groom also. He took care of everything for us, and did great uplighting too. The band is awesome. Fun, professional, and even let a friend of mine jam with them for a bit! I want to throw another party just so I can have them entertain us again!

We recently got married at the Ocean Cliff in Newport, RI and had DJ Victor + Band play our wedding. First of all, guests are still reaching out and raving about how great the entertainment was! They loved the wide range of music and the interactive atmosphere. At one point, just about all of my guests were huddled in a circle around the dance floor with arms over one another, kicking our legs into the center to "Rolling on the River" which was SO much fun! DJ Victor remembered EVERYTHING from our meetings and made sure to incorporate everything we asked, including a personal "kareoke" performance from my mother to Journey. Entertainment was a really important aspect of our wedding and we can't say enough good things about DJ Victor and his band. I got to go behind the DJ table and play the drums as a bride which was so fun! Despite some unexpected rain, DJ Victor was upbeat and kept the pre-ceremony crowd lively and the acoustic guitarist was phenomenal! Thank you so much for making our wedding day a memory we will never forget!

Not really sure how to begin my review other than saying that if you live in New England...or AMERICA...or really anywhere in the world, you NEED Victor at your wedding, even if he's already booked and is just a guest, because he's that amazing. In all seriousness though, my now-husband and I cared more about our wedding music and entertainment than anything else, and we poured through hundreds of companies/reviews before reaching out to anyone. Victor's near-flawless reviews drove us to schedule a meeting with him, but when we actually met him in person and were able to see what a great guy he was and how talented he was, we canceled the other appointments we had and booked him immediately. So why is he so great? I'll break it down for you: - He is not only an incredibly engaging and warm person, but also a consummate professional. From the second we reached out to him wanting to schedule our initial appointment, he seemed to really care about our wedding, actually care. Because he does! - Detail, detail, detail. Filling out Victor's forms was akin to applying to work for the FBI, in a good way. He wants to know everything about you and your fiance's personalities, your family members' personalities, any subjects to avoid, any subjects to play up, in addition to the standard music questions other DJ/Band vendors would ask. You really need to set aside a few days to complete them meaningfully, but it made all the difference in the world when Victor could reference personal anecdotes, jokes, and stories so naturally during the wedding. - Reads the crowd like a pro. Unlike most more transactional DJ/Band vendors, Victor does not like to run a playlist and instead promises that he can read a crowd. He delivered. I cannot overstate how much our guests have RAVED about how perfect the music and MC'ing was at the wedding - friends have been reaching out to me about booking him for their weddings because the quality of his work really spoke for itself. - Above and beyond service. Just to really drive home what a great guy he is: At about 12:30 AM when I was well into our wedding after party and vodka soda # 5 or 6, I received a text message from Victor, saying we had left a gift behind at the venue. While that alone would have been courteous, he let me know that he would drive 30 minutes to the Providence Biltmore to drop it off so we didn't have to worry about it - and then grabbed a beer with us. Unbelievable! I cannot recommend Victor highly enough. Book him if you can! You will not regret it.

My husband and I had scheduled meetings with three DJs, and Victor was the first one we met with. As soon as we walked out of our initial meeting (where Victor had us dancing in our seats), I immediately cancelled the other appointments. Victor threw a lot of personal touches into the reception because he really took the time to get to know us, our families, our wedding party, and our vision for the reception. As performers, Victor and his band were incredible! We kept the fact that we were having a band/DJ combination a secret from our guests, so they were blown away when they started performing. They created so many memorable moments at our reception that our guests have not stopped talking about! Some guests have even asked if Victor and his band perform outside of weddings because they want to see them again! We had just over 200 guests, and Victor had them on the dance floor all night. As another reviewer wrote, our guests who were already married wished they could have had Victor, and our friends who are engaged took his card and will hopefully be booking him! We absolutely loved working with Victor (and Sherri! She answered all of our questions on the office side of things :) ), and we would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have a fun, memorable, energetic reception.

Perfection would describe Victor Events! We were undecided as whether to have a DJ or a band for our wedding. I liked the idea of a DJ because he/she can play modern tunes that everyone knows. My husband liked a band because of the entertainment and feeling of live music. When we found Victor Events, we solved our problem! Victor Events is a DJ with a band! PERFECTION! First, Victor is an amazing person. He really gets to know his clients and makes sure to establish a relationship with them. Then, he ties in our personalities, with music and VIOLA! He plays the perfect songs at the perfect moments! He is able to read the crowd and choose a song that is right for that moment. There wasn't a lull throughout the entire night. Also, his band members... they are talented! We had a drummer, two guitarists, and a saxophonist. They played beautiful music during cocktail hour and dinner. Then, when it was time for Victor to join in, they played along with tunes you hear on the radio today! They were so fun, entertaining, and talented! Victor Events is the perfect fit for anyone who wants a DJ AND a band on their wedding day! Victor is amazing and his band members are extraordinary. We couldn't have had a better experience. Our guests raved about Victor Events all night and still do to this day! You will love the service that Victor Events provides! I can't forget, they also provide the most perfect uplighting!!!!! Ah-Maze-Ing! Victor and his band were on fire!!! He played the perfect songs at the perfect time. Our wedding rocked because he was a part of it. He also did the lighting for our venue and the room was gorgeous. Throughout the wedding planning process he was easily and readily available. It was great working with him!

There are no words to express our appreciation for Victor Events. We knew we wanted a special party and from the second we spoke with Victor we knew he wouldn't disappoint. We added lots of little details to our wedding and Victor executed everything with the upmost class. After planning a very special entrance dance, Victor wanted it to be absolutely perfect and the night before the wedding he surprised us by driving up from RI to CT to perfect the details. All he cared about was making this perfect for us. Victor Events DJ/Band combo was the talk of our wedding. We wanted a unique wedding and the entertainment set the tone. Outside of all the partying Victor gave a beautiful tribute to the grooms late best friend. It was emotional but the classiest tribute ever. Victor takes the time to become your friend. Five years ago I worked a wedding with Victor and knew that night I wanted him to be the DJ at my wedding. Fast forward 5 years to our meeting with Victor and my husband loved him as much as I did. I have been to about 4 weddings now where Victor has performed. The guy is a class act and is just about as professional as they come. The band/dj fusion is sure to get guests of all ages dancing early and often. At our wedding the dancing began as soon as cocktail hour had ended and didn't stop until we nearly overstayed our welcome at the venue. Victor did such an amazing job at our wedding! The dance floor was packed all night long because Victor ran the reception so well. He played great music and made our venue even more beautiful with the lighting he provided. Victor is worth every penny!

Working with Victor was truly an amazing experience. When we first started out looking for entertainment for our wedding Victor events had been referred to us by more than one person. We decided to meet with him and we both agreed that Victor events would be a perfect match for us and had to look no further. He is very personable, professional, and an expert in his field. Victor was there for us every step of the way and made us feel comfortable and I knew we could trust him to make our wedding day memorable. We decided to add a drummer to our package with up lighting, The drummer gave us a live band feel and enhanced the night. Victor took the time to personalize our event and I can still remember the songs played and how he was able to interact with us and our guests to make it a more enjoyable night for everyone. His energy and love for his job is contagious and he was able to get everyone on the dance floor. Even some of my relatives who never dance at weddings were on the floor having a great time. We are both extremely satisfied with Victor and his band and we continue to recommend Victor to everyone we know. Entertainment is one of the most important parts of your wedding and Victor events is truly the best! Victor was our dj for our wedding in May 2014 and was absolutely amazing. I couldn't have asked for anything more. He was so helpful throughout the entire process. He had so many suggestions with things when we weren't sure what to do. Even helped my parents in surprising my husband and I with the entertainment of a belly dancer during dinner. Which this of course kept my Lebanese and non-Lebanese guests so attentive and involved. He had us dancing the entire night. Our dance floor wasn't empty for a second. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I would recommend him time and time again. :)))

Victor made my wedding absolutely perfect! He took the time to make sure he knew my Husband and I on a personal level! From the minute my mom, husband, and I met Victor we knew we couldn't have the wedding without him! He is extremely talented, personable, and fun! We gave Victor the song choices for the 1st and last dance and the mother/son and father/daughter dances. All other music choices came from Victor's wedding vibe! He even had me dj at the wedding! Nothing short of amazing! To me Victor is the only choice! Best dj ever!

Victor Events was everything we were looking for and so much more. We had a very diverse group of family and friends and while planning the wedding we were unsure and worried about which approach to take on entertainment. Once we met Victor, our worries went away. We realized we didn't have to choose between DJ and Band, compromise on class for excitement, or pass up pleasing one group of guests for another. Victor Events did it all! Our wedding was an amazing EXPERIENCE for ALL of our guests! Victor was our very first vendor we booked back in 2011 for our 2014 wedding!! We didn't even have a venue booked but we knew he was the BEST DJ!!!! He started the new DJ meets BAND concept after we booked him and I was skeptical but my husband was all for it! All I have to say is I'm glad I listened to my husband!!! Best entertainment at a wedding EVER!!!! All of our guests were absolutely blown away by our DJ/Band!!! They loved the idea and had an amazing time!!! In the process of selecting entertainment, we the search as soon as we met Victor. His outgoing, engaging personality and genuine desire to hear what we wanted (vs trying to sell us something) stood out and felt like the right fit. We were impressed with the time he took to get to know us and truly understand our vision for the big day. At the time, we had been torn between a band and a DJ. Victor's unique combination of traditional DJ service with live musicians was the perfect balance. By the time our wedding came around, we had Victor proving microphones for the ceremony, and both music and lighting for the reception. Despite our concerns about finding the right personality and entertainment to appease a pretty diverse array of ages/personalities/tastes, Victor read the crowd and worked his magic to delight us and our guests. Two thumbs up for Victor Events!!

Our reception was amazing much because of Victor. Victor is definitely a notch above the other DJ’s we have experienced at other weddings. He did several things to keep everyone up and on the dance floor and kept the party alive the whole night. We highly recommend Victor Events.

The two best weddings I had been to (before mine) Victor was the DJ. When searching for my DJ I knew I had to have Victor. He knows how to get everyone on the dance floor. My guests and I had so much fun at my wedding! I had guests coming up to me and telling me it had been the best wedding they've ever been to. One of the factors, of course, is the music! Victor had fun and modern music an knew what type of music to play to keep people out there for as long as possible. I would definitely recommend Victor to anyone who is holding an event and needs a DJ. I am so gratefully for Victor's expertise in making my wedding the greatest wedding I've ever been at (not just because it was mine). Victor is friendly and is very easy to get along with and meet with. He's attentive and is willing to tweak things for his customers. He's just great to work with!

Victor helped to make our day as perfect as it was! We are from the same hometown, so I knew how awesome his work is, so when I got engaged I already knew we wanted him. He provided us with not only his excellent DJ skills but really coordination of the whole day. We wanted his band to come also, so we chose that package and what an amazing time! We had a day wedding, and let me tell you every person was on our dance floor! Such a fabulous feeling to see everyone in the place having so much fun! Victor was amazing! He rocked our wedding!!!! He played just the right amount of older songs and new songs, got the crowd going, and no one wanted to get off the dance floor for one minute! He is amazing!

We have a dancing crowd and choosing the right DJ was very important to us. When I met with Victor to see if we might want to work with him, I realized he was the perfect fit for our wedding. He LOVES what he does and has so much fun doing it and it shows in his work. Victor really understood what we wanted for our environment etc and he always offered his ideas and suggestions to make it just perfect. We had so much fun in the planning process with Victor and we ended up doing the DJ/live musicians combination and it was awesome! Our guests were sad that our wedding had to end! But as fun as Victor is, he is also extremely professional and knows how to accommodate every age group in the crowd. I also really liked in our initial meeting how he actually played some music for me so that I could get an idea of how he works. Great touch for making me feel comfortable!

We LOVED having Victor Events for our DJ and uplighting. DJ - Victor has an amazing ability to get everyone on the dance floor, tons of energy, and kept the party going right to the end! We met with Victor a few times prior to the wedding day, and got a chance for him to know us better -- made us super confident for the wedding day! Band Concept - we added on a drummer and 2 guitarists, and nothing short of amazing!! We always knew we wanted a DJ for our reception, so we could have flexibility for song selection. Adding the band component was the perfect mix of DJ and band. We were able to have more of a live music feel during the dinner, and then pulled it all together for the reception! Uplighting - our wedding was at OceanCliff in Newport, and the uplighting really transformed the room. It was beautiful! Overall, we would recommend Victor over and over again. He was the only DJ we met with, and knew right away he was it!
