We were referred to Victoria Karr by the bridal shop where we purchased my daughter’s wedding gown. My daughter had a beaded and lace gown which needed to be hemmed and bustled. Victoria did a wonderful job with hemming the lace dress and meticulously worked on the bustle so that it would look just perfect. Victoria also hemmed two of the bridesmaid’s dresses and did a great job. We appreciated Victoria’s willingness to schedule appointments at our convenience, expertise in giving suggestions, attention to detail, and quality workmanship! We would highly recommend Victoria Karr for any alterations! We will definitely be going back!

Victoria is an absolutely amazing designer -- a true miracle worker! I had ordered my bridesmaid dress based upon the measurements of the saleswoman at the bridal boutique where my sister purchased her wedding gown. Needless to say, when my sister delivered the dress to me, it was quite apparent that the saleswoman's measurements were beyond incorrect: the dress was about five sizes too small. Rather than dealing with the boutique' s stringent "all sales final" policy, I took my dress to Victoria when my sister had her first gown fitting. That was the best decision I ever made! Victoria added a corset and other beautiful design features, making my dress absolutely gorgeous! Talk about making lemonade from lemons! I now own a unique and exquisite gown. My mother, sister, and I have already decided that she will be making my wedding dress. If you are looking for excellent service, amazing design and/or tailoring techniques, and someone who is more than reasonably-priced, Victoria is the gal for you!!

I searched all over Lancaster, PA for a place that would alter my bridesmaid dress, but since I didn't get the dress from those locations then were not able to see me! But, I'm happy they couldn't because then I wouldn't have met Victoria. She met with me 3 different times to make sure the dress fit perfect! she was also so flexible on when she was able to meet. Her attention to detail is incredible and she pointed out things and imperfections in the dress that I never would have saw... and she fixed them as if they were never there! She was also very reasonably priced! I can't wait until its my turn to get married and she gets to help make alterations to my own dress!

Victoria is absolutely AMAZING. I have never worked with a seamstress as hard working, efficient, and detail-oriented as Victoria. She made so many alterations to my wedding dress that I visited her 6 times between January and May leading up to my wedding. She let the dress out in some parts, took it in in others, hemmed it, added the bustle, and reinforced some beading. She was a true miracle worker! My dress fit perfectly on my wedding day. Also, I took my rehearsal dinner dress to her because it was too long. She had the amazing idea to cut the entire bottom of the dress off and create a slit up the leg so my store bought dress became a one-of-a-kind dress. She also altered my mom's dress for the wedding. She took it from a size 10 down to a size 6. She worked on the beading and made sure everything was perfect from top to bottom. I will absolutely go back to Victoria any time I need a seamstress in the future!

I was given Victoria’s name by one of my co-workers that raves about her. Best decision I made for my wedding dress! She took it in 6 sizes, added the bustle, a panel, and did many other minor adjustments that made the dress a major beauty! She was so accommodating and friendly; I really enjoyed working with her to prepare for my wedding. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family.

Victoria did an amazing job on my wedding dress. The dress was heavily beaded and needed to be taken in a lot! She made the dress fit just right!! She also altered and added more style my maid of honor and mother of the bride dresses! She is a very talented seamstress and designer!! I highly recommend her!

Victoria is the best, in talented tailoring and sewing, and also very sweet and accommodating! I did not know of a seamstress to tailor my gown for my daughter's wedding. I found Victoria online. Wow, was I blessed. She not only tailors garments, she actually creates and makes ornate wedding gowns! Amazing! My mom and I both had our dresses altered by Victoria. She was so professional yet treated us like family. Highly recommended!!

The service Victoria provided was stellar. She did an amazing job with my daughter’s dress alterations and even made a couple of adjustments because she wanted to hide the clasps on the straps and did did the work on the spot so we didn’t need to come back. She is nice and professional and not to mention talented. We will return and have recommended her already.

I went to Victoria to have my wedding dress alterations done after my bridal shop devastatingly closed. Alterations have never been a good experience for me, and nothing ever comes out like it was promised. Needless to say I was nervous to have alternations done. Victoria was absolutely fantastic! My wedding dress truly fits like a glove. She is extremely knowledgeable, and has a lot of experience and expertise. She worked with the lace on my wedding dress taking it in and you would never know it! She is funny and welcomes you into her home with open arms! I went for one fitting and the second time I went back to try the dress on it was perfect and ready to come home. She is very reasonably priced and works very quickly. I would highly recommend her for any alternations. I drove over 2 hours to have her do mine and it was completely worth the trip! She also makes custom wedding dresses and headpieces! I promise you will NOT be disappointed. Five Stars!!

My dress was a more complicated design and Victoria altered it beautifully!! She was very friendly, responded quickly to my texts, and was very accommodating with my schedule! I'd highly recommend her to anyone for any type of sewing!!

I went to Victoria after purchasing my dress at Brides of Today. Victoria was prompt to respond to set up a fitting and worked around my schedule to be able to see me. She turned around the work within a week. She built draping cap type sleeves that looked amazing. She was also willing to work with me on a belt idea that I had, that I later decided against. The one downside was that when building the bustle she needed to detach part of the dress. Unfortunately, the part that was detached was built with ruched puffs that fell apart only after taking it home and fluffing it around until the little threads fell out of it. When we discovered that the train no longer sat straight nor could it be fluffed into position in less than 20 minutes, I called her up at 7:30 pm, she saw me at 8:45 and fixed it that very night!!!! In the end it all worked out and my dress looked amazing!

Amazing quality and great price. My wedding dress had lots of intricate details and was way too long and big. She expertly measured and made it fit perfectly with only 2 fittings. She worked with my timeline and was super reasonably priced. I give her my highest recommendation.

Her knowledge and skill was thorough and precise, not to mention extremely affordable. I also had her take in some trousers for my husband. She did a great job! Victoria was recommended to me by my bridal shop. She did all the alterations needed for my wedding gown (adding bustles and additional lace and taking in the top) AND made my veil. She was kind and helpful throughout the entire process, all at an affordable cost. You can tell she cares about her clients and loves what she does. She is professional and talented. Victoria was amazing. She was so precise about every detail and wanted things to be perfect. I got my bridal gown down and my mother had her dress done. She even had to move beading to take my dress in and you couldn't tell. She also makes a ton of her own gowns which are beautiful. I'm not sure there isn't anything she can't do. She is a miracle worker!!!

My mother and I have both gone to Victoria for alterations for mother of the groom dress, 2 bridesmaids dresses, and even a sari blouse. Turn around time is fast and she really knows what she is doing! Easy to fit into the work week and she makes sure you are happy with the work! Alterations are inexpensive for the great value and service you are getting! She is my go-to person for alterations. (Also caught a sneak-peak of the dresses she has made and they are gorgeous...GORGEOUS!!!! Some have such intricate details that would be stunning on any bride!)

Victoria saved my wedding dress! I had a horrible experience with another seamstress which left me leaving in tears with pins all over my dress. I called Victoria and she turned a nightmare into a dream come true! I ordered the dress knowing that I wanted to customize the neckline. Victoria picked up the pieces from the first woman's mistake and helped to turn my dress into my exact vision. She pays attention to every little detail and had weekly fittings with me to make sure everything was turning out to my liking. Without her, I would have been forced to scrap the dress and start over. I am so happy that I listened to a friend's advice and called Victoria. Her prices are super reasonable too! Victoria did an incredible job on my dress! She is such a sweetheart and has great vision to make things look fantastic!! The alterations she did made the dress and I feel and look like one!
