wedding in Hawaii from California seemed impossible. My fiancé and in-laws took a trip to Hawaii a year prior to our wedding. Chavah was referred to us by our venue manager, and I’m so glad she did. From day one Chavah was very professional! She answered all our questions and catered to all of our needs. She made sure that our kids table was stocked with little games to keep the little ones entertained. She donated sodas to us that we weren't able to purchase in time, and provided clear cups in the last minute when we couldn’t find it at Costco. She accommodated to all of our family and friends surprise performances. And most importantly kept it all from us! She was very attentive to my needs, asking for my opinion before executing any decisions. And even after the wedding, she was able to donate all of my floral arrangements to a local Convalescent home. Chavah is an incredible coordinator, and it was a pleasure working with her!

Besides that, I can't say that having Vida Chic as our day-of coordinator relieved my stress by any means. It was not a good sign when we arranged to meet at her office in town (so, paid for street parking) and she was over an hour late. Which meant we had to cut our meeting short because our parking ran out (which wouldn't have happened if she had been on time). Her explanation was that she had come from Kualoa...which is 10 minutes from where we were staying and could have saved us a drive to town...right from the start, not so great communication. Planning this wedding from Denver and being very Type A, I would have appreciated much better communication from them. A simple email saying "X got done" or "Here's the timeline we drafted" goes such a long way in terms of relieving a bride's anxiety and stress...which you'd think a professional would understand. Honestly, I had to put together the layout, timeline, everything anyway, and it would have been much less stressful for me to simply do it all myself instead of waiting...and waiting...and waiting for Vida Chic to give me anything.
If I hadn't been so Type A and had everything that needed to get done written out and if I hadn't had such amazing family and friends helping us on the day of, there is no way Chavah and her "assistant" would have been able to execute everything. As it was, Gentry, her actual assistant, came to our rehearsal, but told us that she wouldn't be helping on the day of. Then...why bother coming?? And who does Chavah bring in her assistant's place to help with my wedding? Her mother. I have a feeling that if Gentry had been able to assist that day, some things might have gone smoother...like the 300 loose white orchids I ordered may have been put out on the tables with the centerpieces instead of being left in the fridge all night (thanks for wasting that money)...the chairs may have been brought up from the ceremony lawn during cocktail hour (instead of my cousins realizing they still didn't have seats right before dinner and having to bring them up themselves)...tables may have actually been released promptly for dinner...and I may not have had to go searching for Chavah to kick off the speeches when I noticed a definite lull after dinner and found her making herself coffee in the kitchen.
I was told that I wouldn't have to lift a finger. I knew that wouldn't be the case and I was fine with that, but it is extremely annoying to HAVE to pay for that extra help (thanks, Kualoa) and then find out on the day of that your coordinator's mom expects you, the bride, to take the chairs down to the ceremony site and such when you could be doing other things like putting out those dang flowers that you paid for!
I do NOT feel like having Vida Chic as our day-of coordinator was worth it. I felt like they were too busy to treat us like we deserved to be treated and made to feel like a priority, and even having as much help as we did on the day of, we felt like they dropped the ball on executing our vision and making our day special for us.

eam. We live in Australia and having never been to Hawaii myself, I needed someone I could put my trust in to piece everything together. When I first found and messaged Vida Chic events, Chavah was so quick to respond and clearly stated her services and prices (which were really reasonable). Chavah has put up with many of my bridezilla moments, my last minute changes and indecisiveness and always just made sure I was really happy with the decisions that were made. All our wedding guests loved Chavah because she’s such a great person and so much fun. We were so lucky to also have her amazing team Gentry and Karina on the wedding day to help. We thought it was very generous that we were given three people to coordinate our day. I could seriously keep going on and on, because Vida Chic made our day so perfect. Our rehearsal dinner that she organised, my bouquet and all our floral, the ceremony rentals, the reception room and tables...absolutely everything was perfect. Thank you so much Chavah, really gonna miss our little chats. We wish you and your team all the very best and hope more brides and grooms find you and get to experience what we did. R&C xx

in Oahu and Maui. We are still a little shy when dealing with people because our situation is a little more delicate than most. We singled out two planners and after calling the first one they let us know their date wasn’t available and referred us to Vida.
Planning an event like this from afar is impossible. Knowing who will and won’t work with/for you is a nightmare. We were instantly put at ease after talking to the bubbly ladies at Vida Chic. They not only found an officiant that tapered the entire ceremony around us - they even found discounts in areas we assumed were non-negotiable.

In addition to handling the logistics during my wedding day, Julie and Janae went above and beyond making my ceremony space absolutely gorgeous and adding little additions that I hadn’t even thought of! For example, they sprinkled the extra loose flower heads I had for the dinner tables down the reception aisle making it just that more pretty! I definitely recommend hiring Vida Chic!

st now writing these (I'm such a procrastinor - one of the many reasons I couldn't plan my own wedding for the life of me!!!!!) but I really appreciate everything Chava did for my day. Before we stumbled upon Vida Chic Weddings and Events I'd already postponed my wedding once, moved the venue twice and was on the verge of cancelling it because I was just over it. Someone at the boutique where I was trying on dresses was talking about Chava to her bridesmaids and saying how fun and organized she was. I kinda barged into the conversation since I was seriously desperate at that point and gave her a call. I left a voicemail over the weekend and by Monday morning had received a call and email getting back with me. Our first conversation was almost like we were best friends and I booked her almost immediately. I had already had several things kinda half-way taken care of so all I needed was a partial coordinator and she was so great about helping me. I was a mess at that point and seriously wanted to cancel just to get rid of a little stress. I was going to nursing school at the time and both at once was too much for me to handle.
Planning was easy after getting access to my file which was all online and we talked a few times a month to plan things. She went above and beyond for me to make me feel comfortable which I cannot say thank you enough. My only complaint was the day slipped my so fast! I didn't really get to eat but she packed up a to-go plate for me which I ate in the limo on the way to the hotel. There was just so much happening on my wedding day - I just can't believe it went by so fast - but it was perfect. We couldn't be happier.

It's like they instantly fixed everything (Chavah joked about fairy dust but I think there may be some truth to that!). Seriously, that online file they gave us really made everything seamless when planning from far away. The time difference made things difficult but using the online file made the process exceptionally easy after we hired them for a partial planning package. They were incredibly flexible, responded quickly to emails and phone calls, and created the wedding of our dreams. We had a very clear timeline created for the weekend and sticking to the timeline really made our day go smoothly and stuck with the timeline. Our guests all raved about how amazing and beautiful our beach wedding was and the credit all goes to Chavah and her team. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone planning a wedding from near or far!

Janae were so sweet. We couldn't say thank you enough for everything they did for our wedding. Truly above and beyond. They even had emergency "anything could happen" kits with everything imaginable (which came in handy when I needed Tylenol ASAP during the middle of the reception). So thankful I found VC when I did.

During the planning sometimes it took a while to get contracts but I know it was difficult for them to get information back from vendors because it was even hard for ME before I hired them. I don't know why people take so long in Hawaii but I don't think I would've even been able to have a wedding if it wasn't for Vida Chic.

ocal wedding in Hawaii, I would highly recommend hiring Vida Chic to turn your vision into a fairytale of epic proportions! Having a little planning experience myself, I was originally hoping to save a few $$ and plan my own wedding. But, with medical school classes, upcoming Board exams, and life in general, the whole process got really overwhelming. So, we bit the bullet and decided to hire a planner. I am SO thrilled that we chose Chavah and Vida Chic. Chavah completely understood our vision, was responsive to my many questions, and super patient with my indecisiveness about everything :) I especially appreciated her willingness to "drop in" on our venue (multiple times) when they stopped answering emails and started stressing me out! Chavah went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. The decor was breathtaking and the day flowed perfectly. She had a lot of fantastic suggestions for vendors that saved us a little money too! I think I was a pretty low maintenance bride who worked best communicating via email (sent randomly whenever I found time between clinic, class, and studying) and found that she typically responded within a few days, which was fine for me. We also had a few update calls to walk through all of the emails and logistics. I think the highest praise I can give is that on my wedding day I never once worried about the logistics, flowers, decor, cake, music etc. I felt 100% confident that everything would be perfect, and it was! I would highly, highly recommend Vida Chic!(Sidebar-yes, I have posted this review in multiple places. 1. because I was so impressed by Chavah, monet and the entire team. 2 because our wedding day was truly amazing and I want that experience for every bride! and 3. Because I'm too lazy to find different ways of saying the same thing....sorry....read tired medical student.)
