kind, welcoming spirit and energy about her. When you are around Candace you literally just feel better about life. So when we decided on doing a destination wedding, I was sooo excited to have Candace record the day for us. Candace and I share a love for Isla Mujeres and she captured much more of our trip than just our wedding day. It felt like we were movie stars the whole trip. Even our guests thought it was the coolest thing ever.
We first had a zoom meeting prior to our special day. She laid out exactly everything to expect and then asked different questions of things we wanted and envision to have from our video. And when I say she’s organized, she is ORGANIZED. She literally thinks of every single detail, which made it so much easier for me because I don’t like making decisions. I just kept telling her whatever your think, I trust your judgement and taste.
When we got to the island we set up a time to meet. She was already in contact with the wedding planner, so she did all the things behind the scenes that I didn’t even need to think about or set up.
WEDDING DAY: Candace was there with me throughout the whole day which I wanted because she just has a calming and I needed her expertise to make different decisions. I let her know I wanted her to pose me, fix my hair, tell me when I needed more lipstick, when to suck in my stomach and stand up straight haha. She always made sure I was at my best, plus she knows how to use a bobbi pin and can fix an updo in a moments notice. And ladies y’all know this is KEY!!
The video REVEAL: First off, Candace has always told me how much she wished she had a videographer at her wedding and vow renewal. I was like oh I’m sure. But it wasn’t until I got to watch ours that I fully understood what she meant.
Here’s the thing about your wedding day, you spend months even a year planning it and then it literally goes by within a blink of an eye. It’s almost heartbreaking to be honest how fast it goes. Which again, reason #552 why you need Candace at your special day!
When my husband, sons, my sister-in-law (the officiant) and I all sat down and watched it for the first time, it was like the world stopped and we were all just fully in the moment of the video. It truly felt like we were reliving that special day and even a couple other days she captured on this trip. It seriously brought tears to my eyes and warmed my heart. It truly is the only way to relive your wedding day over and over.
I think it’s also a great reminder as life ebbs and flows, your wedding video grounds you back into your why. When times are tough, bring out your video and remember those vows you wrote for each other, watch your wedding dance and truly feel the love you had for each other on that day. It’s just something that is truly magical.
Her ability to line up the words, the transitions and quality of video is just out of this world. I will forever now tell people to invest in a videographer, and more important Candace because she’s too notch. The cake, venue, table cloths will long be forgotten but the video lasts a lifetime and having Candace there with you is seriously a cherry on top. Our videos turned out absolutely amazing.They were on the ground, in bushes, on chairs, in the air (drone), and all over to get the perfect footage. The multiple short videos captured different personalities and aspects of the wedding - one was lively and fun, the other really captured that fairytale romance magical air we were shooting for, and the ceremony footage was beautiful. When we got our videos I think we watched it on repeat about 80 times in a row and I'm fairly certain it brought me and my mom to tears (in a good way) every single time. If you think you don't need a videographer, think again. If you think you don't need Candace/Vida film - think again! This is hands down who you want capturing one of the most memorable and special days of your life. Beautiful job!

y glad I changed my mind. I love the video of our wedding day! It captures so many sweet moments that I can cherish forever as well as so many little details I missed the day of. Candace sent us a trailer of our video while we were on our honeymoon (less than a week out from our wedding) and it was such a wonderful surprise! When we got the full length version, we watched it several times on repeat because we loved it so much. I still get happy tears every single time I watch the full length video even though I have had it for months. Both videos capture our day perfectly!
Candace and her team were a dream to work with. They were always there to reassure me that it might feel silly or ridiculous but it would look great later and they were right. ad only met Candace virtually a couple of times, but on our wedding day it felt like we had known her forever. As to the videos - I cannot say enough about the Sneak Peek and actual Wedding Video. Candace is an artist and just feels every moment of your event, she puts so much heart and thought into what she does. Our Sneak Peek was ready inside of 24 hours after our wedding, and it gave me goose bumps from the first note of music. Our Wedding Video is perfect - she caught everything, and put voices over footage of the people speaking, all set to music. What's even more perfect, is she was able to capture all of the important moments in a less than 10 minute video. It never gets old or cumbersome to watch, and it evokes tears in all who see it. In a COVID world, where we did not get to have many friends at family at our special day, I could not be more grateful to have such a beautiful record of our wedding to share. The team at Vida Films is amazing - everyone was so lovely, funny and easy going. They were never in the way, and were able to capture every moment they needed without us feeling staged or posed. The drone shots were amazing, and added such a special and unique perspective to the day. Candace was also extremely conscious of other vendors, taking special care to stay out of photography shots and working with our entire team. I quite simply cannot say enough good things about Vida Film Productions and my delay in posting this review is due only to crazy schedules. If you are at all debating hiring a videographer to document your special day... don't. I had a zip line that my husband and I absolutely had to do in our dress and his uniform. She climbed up there (30 ft??) on that rope ladder with her camera and a small handheld one for me and did it like a PRO. She made sure to get the absolute best shots for my fav part of the whole wedding. I carried the handheld camera down the zip line which had amazing quality and sound. If I could, I’d hire her for every moment of my life, she truly is amazing. The sneak peek was out within hours of our wedding, I woke up the next day to the sneak peek and just boohoo’d so hard.
