Trolleys are not only glass-enclosed but air-conditioned, and heated and have stereo systems ready for your favorite playlist! Trolleys are available for use not only in Newport but throughout Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts, and even the Mystic area in Connecticut!

We worked with Kirtley and found it hard to get timely responses, often needing to follow up multiple times for the contract and basic logistics. Coordinating the timeline for multiple pickup locations was also confusing, and the information provided at times lacked clarity or had inconsistencies, including overlapping pickup times.
In the end, we had limited ability to adjust or refine the plan despite trying to communicate our original ideas. On the wedding day, everything with the drivers themselves was fine, though they did arrive earlier than expected before the venue was ready for guests. Overall, the transportation worked, but the planning experience was more stressful than it should have been.

Trolleys. Working with Viking Tours to book the trolleys for our guests was super easy; they were very responsive throughout the whole process. We booked an earlier trolley to bring the groom and groomsmen to the venue and then to take us around Newport for pictures, and the driver was so friendly and professional! We decided to assign our guests to specific timed trolleys (would definitely recommend! I've been to other weddings where all the trolley times are listed and guests are encouraged to go to the one that works for them, and everyone tends to choose the last trolley), so we named the trolleys after special things to us (our dog's name, etc.) and guests could only see the time of the trolley they were assigned to on our website. Our contact at Viking Trolley was great about this, and she even made signs and posted them in each trolley the day of so people knew which trolley was which! Little touches like this made it a stress free experience. If you're looking to book trolleys, definitely go with Viking Tours!

That said, I was proactive before our wedding day in providing them map screenshots and suggestions for the best way to approach getting from our getting ready spot to the first look drop off and pick up and then to the venue. On the day, our driver arrived early and politely greeted our party. He helped each of us aboard and made sure we were comfortable. He then seemed unaware of the driving routes I had suggested ahead of the day, so perhaps the booking agents didn’t share them? As such, as the only one on the trolley from the local area, I had to give the driver turn-by-turn directions instead of being able to relax & enjoy the ride with my bridal party. All of this said, our driver did maneuver well through traffic and get us to our locations on time.

We had no issues with the trolley picking us all up at our house to bring our immediate family and bridal party to the church, our photo location down the street at the beach and then to the reception venue (and we stayed with the 4 hour minimum which was great for our budget). onal. Our wedding was in Newport we needed trolleys shuttling people back and forth from their hotels to the venue, and Viking did step up to the task, very friendly and knowledgeable driver also. Kirtley was there to assist me through it all from last minute changes to my bride anxiety moments:). She event went above and beyond . The day of the wedding everything went smoother than I could have ever imagined thanks to Viking and our trolley driver . I can't recommend this company enough because They were so amazing !

es to be extremely affordable. Our driver was so nice and professional. He arrived a few minutes early for each pick up and was so fun throughout the ride. He let us play music and enjoy ourselves during our ride. I would absolutely recommend Newport Trolley for weddings. The trolley itself gave us great photos and it let us have a "party bus" feel but in a more quaint vehicle. Pricing was extremely reasonable & we loved it!

trolleys shuttling people back and forth to the hotels, wedding and after party. In the 18 months leading up to the wedding we had many schedule changes and questions and Kirtley was there to assist through it all. She event went above and beyond to send me a list of inns in the area for our guests. The day of the wedding everything went smoother than I could have ever imagined thanks to Viking and our trolley drivers (Butch was one of them - he was amazing, the other was awesome as well I just forget his name!) My aunt missed the trolley at the Marriot in Newport and the trolley drove back to get her without question. They were so amazing and friendly nice guys. I can't recommend this company enough, plus their trolleys make for amazing pictures!!!!!!!

We used Viking Tours to rent a trolley for our wedding this past June. I was very impressed with their trolleys after attending a wedding last year and we and our guests were just ...
as impressed!
The trolley we had was brand new and very clean. Our driver was very friendly and easy to work with.
The only downside was that the day-of details were lost somewhere in between what we confirmed with the office and what the driver was told. We rented the trolley for transportation for the wedding party to take pictures before the ceremony and to transport our guests in between the church and the reception venue (which is where our details were confused). The driver believed he was only transporting our wedding party which caused some confusion for our guests who were expecting rides.
Our driver was very helpful and willing to update the plans for us without any issue so in the end it worked out.
We recommend calling the company to confirm the details again to be sure that all details are accurate including the time/date, addresses of ceremony/reception AND plans for the trolley.

Our driver was wonderful and took such great care of us, my family, and my bridal party. My bridesmaids, our parents, and I arrived at my ceremony too early, but instead of making us wait around in the trolley at the church he took us for a memorable cruise down Newport's 1st and 2nd beach - truly a drive I will remember forever. We love them and would highly recommend to any bride and groom seeking transportation for their big day! THANK YOU!

was about 18 people. They are very detailed in all the information they need which makes it extremely easy and care-free on your wedding day. I didn't worry about a thing! The driver was very friendly and easy going. We even re-routed him a bit and he was flexible. He took the best routes in Newport and avoided traffic. They were on-time for everything. I am very happy we went with Viking Tours and I loved the trolley!
