Villa Antonio Winery

rday wedding in October and had Villa Antonio cater the reception and handle open bar. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the beautiful venue (they loved getting to take photos on the property), the fabulous food, and how easy and smoothly the whole affair went. Brooke and Ashley are on point – from giving us multiple virtual tours of the grounds and buildings, to frequent and well-coordinated planning sessions, these wonderful ladies, along with the whole Villa Antonio staff, made planning as easy as it can be and everything went perfectly day of. Highly recommend arranging for buses to get your guests to and from a central hotel, as the winery is a bit far from anything. But you’ll get a beautiful, remote feel only 35 minutes from downtown St. Louis with lots of nonstop flights from most major cities. Would highly recommend Villa Antonio if you want a gorgeous outdoor venue with a team that takes care of all the big ticket items.

us leading up to the wedding and feeling like things were changing frequently/not consistent. We met with person A when picking the venue. Loved her. After signing and putting down the 1st payment found out it was person B who would actually be working with us. Person B was fine, and this is partially my fault for not asking, but I would have loved for this to be clearer. However, the communication between these two (and throughout the process) was lackluster. Key details needed to be repeated to every person involved to keep straight, and some of our questions took longer than I would have liked to get sorted out. For example, we asked if we could use the chairs from the main building in the reception area--this took over a month to get an answer after some reminding on my part. They did let us use those chairs and at no extra cost, partially due to the miscommunications and wait. Many small things like this occured, but they added up and I had some extra nerves about it before and on the wedding day. Anyways, person B ended up leaving Villa Antonio and we were back to person A....then they hired person C who may or may not be our main contact on the big day. They did well in training and took over well so they were our main person. Then on the weekend of our wedding person C had a family emergency (I 100% get that those happen and changes are expected and appropriate) but then we had person D as our go-to on the big day. We had only met this person once or twice in passing, so it was a bit stressful. He was great, all things considered. Of note, we were a Sunday wedding, the 3rd of a 3 wedding weekend. We appreciated the Sunday discount, but also felt like we got what we paid for and like the 3rd wedding of the weekend, not our own special day. When we arrived to set up the morning of, no one there knew what they needed to open for us or when. The guys were nice though, opened the reception area we needed opened quickly and the suites for us much earlier than in the contract. I didn't love that we paid the fee to be the only event that day and then they wanted us to pay more for use of the suites more than a few hours before the start, so we were only supposed to have access 2-3 hrs before the ceremony. The bridal suite had been cleared but not cleaned well from the night before, and the fridge was not stocked with beverages as promised. No one came in later and acknowledged or apologized for this or restocked. We were too busy with getting ready and other details to complain--I do believe if I would have called our contact, person D who I really didn't know, he would have worked hard to make it right. We just honestly didn't have time to complain and didn't know him at all to really feel comfortable. The wedding and reception went well and person D worked so hard for us. Of note, did not love the food. Villa Antonio required we go with Orlando's. Lukewarm chicken not at all like the tasting. Take pics and bring a meat thermometer. After the wedding there was more confusion. I had greenery on a arbor we brought. The greenery was to be taken down by Villa (they graciously offered) that night and sent with us but they were not. They were left up the whole next day and got rained on. They would have been thrown out if I didn't call.

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Villa Antonio and we are so disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of coordination we received on the day of our wedding. We are both in our 40s, only had about 80 guests and most were family. The way our guests were treated is our #1 priority and I am appalled by the harassment they received throughout the night. I contacted Villa a few days after our wedding and have been ignored. Here is a list of some of the things that transpired: Our coordinator was not helpful and hard to find while our family was decorating the reception area. She also did not put the sand and vases out for our sand ceremony with our children; she asked “where is the sand” as I was lined up waiting to walk down the aisle, ultimately it had to be cut from our ceremony and it was something she knew was important to us. One of the speakers for the ceremony music was not working, we could barely hear the music and it was obviously not tested before the start of the ceremony. The bride and groom rooms were hot, the AC couldn’t keep up. It was a hot day, and I understand that, but when asked about it, she rudely replied…”its an old cabin, nothing we can do”. Maybe bring in some fans? Or water? As soon as the wedding party was done with pictures I was alerted that the bartender was being rude to our guests and already refusing to serve people. She accused several young adults that their IDs were fake and was questioning older guests about who they were going to give their drink to and even followed our guests around to ensure they didn’t hand their drink to someone else! The bartender “carded” my 13 year old niece when she tried to order a soda! She said “I have to card everyone”. Someone in their right mind would know that a 13 year old does not have an ID nor does she need one for a soda. She also cut my brother off after 3 drinks because she said he was slurring his words. (he was completely fine) When my sister-in-law tried to step in on his behalf the bartender was EXRTREMLY rude to her and said “we have been in business for 21 years, we don’t need your kind of peoples business” and also made a rude comment about my sister-in-law’s appearance. How unprofessional and not sure what she meant by “your kind of people”. She disappeared several times throughout the night, had people standing waiting for drinks. The coordinator was very rude to a couple of guests who were sitting in the tent area and also to my sister-in-law who had our nephews out playing on the grassy area right outside the pavilion. She rudely said they couldn’t be out there and had to stay in the pavilion. We paid extra to rent out the entire venue and close it to the public – but were held to one building. They have a contract with Orlando’s catering so that was our only option on food. The food is mediocre and the staff was constantly clearing tables. They were continuously throwing everything away including pictures the guests had from the photo booth, scratch off lotto tickets we had for table favors and even our LED foam light wands that had our names and date on them. Our guests were actually going over and digging them back out of the trashcans.

rlando’s, was amazing! Ashley, our day-of coordinator, was an absolute all star! She made the entire process extremely easy. She laid out all the options and was very transparent about everything! Day of, she was on top of everything and it was almost like she was reading our minds. She checked on me (the bride) many times throughout the night to make sure I was eating, had drinks, and to gently remind me of the itinerary. The wedding party was very appreciative of her. Our guests also raves about Jeff, the manager! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

ating and helped ensure our wedding went as smoothly as possible. Most importantly, they allowed us some flexibility in terms of the scheduling of the wedding due to the pandemic. We will forever be thankful and cannot recommend this venue enough to any couple considering it for their wedding.

He was flexible and accommodating to our requests/needs. We had some major weather challenges and his instincts and suggestions were the right decisions to make when we were unsure what to do. We had some guests that also presented challenges and Jeff handled that with professionalism and respect. The winery staff and catering team were all friendly, professional and kind! I don't think I can really say enough about how impressed we were with the team at Villa Antonio Winery. TWO THUMBS UP!!

felt uncomfortable having a really large celebration with our families and friends, so we had a scaled-down intimate wedding with 40 of our close family members and friends at some good friends' beautiful property in Hillsboro. Finally, on Friday, April 30th, 2021, most of us were vaccinated and most everyone felt comfortable celebrating with us. All told, we had about 160 at Villa Antonio for our BELATED BELATED wedding reception. Maddy, Jeff, and Brooke were all great to work with! They were understanding and empathetic with our two postponements. We lost no money postponing! In fact, when we had to scale down our upgrades due to our budget, there was absolutely no pressure at all. Teresa and I had the night of our lives. Several of our guests told us it was one of the most fun weddings they'd ever attended. The food from Orlando's was great. The drinks were cold. The music was pumping. The dancefloor was kicking. Maddy, Jeff, and Brooke are all great communicators and respond in a very timely manner to any requests or concerns. They are flexible, and never pushy. We priced a lot of other places a bit closer to home (St. Louis City), but the price was right at Villa Antonio. Teresa and I strongly encourage you to meet the team and explore the venue and BOOK IT, because I'm sure they're filling up fast. PS, they brew their own beer now and it's GOOD, especially the Irish Red. Enjoy! - Matt and Teresa

rent tiered packages depending on your needs and budget. We didn’t feel nickel and dimed here, a ton was included with our top tier package. We were first supposed to have our wedding at another venue, but due to Covid, we weren’t able to. There was a lot of drama and negativity surrounding that experience, but as soon as we toured Villa Antonio and met the staff, we knew it would be an entirely different. We got honest, straightforward answers to our questions, and pretty quick responses to our emails. There were a couple of hiccups the day of the wedding due to other vendors/ family members being disorganized or confused, but Jeff knew what he was doing and things got worked out. I never knew there was an issue until afterwards, which I appreciated on my wedding day! The venue itself really has great “bones” and since the prices were more reasonable than a lot of venues, we were able to spend more on food and decor and really make our dream wedding happen. The bartender whose name I can’t remember was also so lovely, cheerful and friendly! We highly recommend Villa Antonio for couples who want a “no drama” experience with their wedding, up front pricing, in a quiet area, with beautiful scenery.

a typical guest. Jeff was there for the rehearsal, as well as the wedding day. He was quick, efficient, beyond kind and friendly, and handled everything perfectly! When the videographer started to get overheated and low blood sugar, Jeff immediately jumped into action to get me some juice and crackers to help her out. The venue was amazing, even when it started raining. I wish I'd gotten married here, and I definitely wish I had a Jeff on my wedding day!

h I guess happen to be homecoming also. while there were lots if kids there getting pictures the staff did an amazing job at telling them that our wedding was a priority. They made sure nobody was in our pictures and that we were taking care of on top of everything else! We highly recommend!!!

planned out and done just as we envisioned! The venue was perfect for our ceremony and reception for what we wanted. It was centrally located for our families and friends as well as having AMAZING food and picture perfect backgrounds. Their bartenders were amazing as well. No guest had a single complaint, rather all compliments! We highly reccomend this venue if you are looking for an all in on place. They also reccomend amazing and preferred vendors for DJ and Photographer services.

nd, and lovely landscaping delivered. As if the view wasn't enough, Villa has some phenomenal staff. Jeff was so helpful and accommodating and made sure the day ran smoothly. He was constantly checking in on the day of to make sure we had everything we needed. He even brought his own side by side from home to help some of our guests with limited mobility down the hillside to and from our ceremony. Not to mention he helped my family make sure all of our decorations looked perfect. Also, It rained most of the day prior to our ceremony and the Villa Antonio team worked diligently to make sure everything stayed dry and remained comfortable for our guests. In addition to great staff, booking with Villa ensures you will have a great caterer too. Orlando's put on a great spread and had wonderful staff too to help start our reception off right. Overall, Villa offers incredible affordability without having to compromise on wedding luxuries. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

ur family and friends had good things to say. We liked that the ceremony was by the lake then the reception immediately followed in the tent. The food and drinks were good but be prepared to pay for extra bar time since the packages are only for 3 hours. Overall we are pleased with the venue and would choose it again.

are so happy with how our wedding day went, everything turned out to be a dream come true. The only complaints I have is that they charge $200 just to use one of their arbors, the service charge is 18% for buffet style (I think that's crazy). Overall, we were very impressed with Villa Antonio and would recommend to anyone searching for a wedding venue.

a winery wedding, this is the place to be! Not to mention, you are a straight down highway 55 and don’t have to stomach those crazy winery hills and turns! We had a magical fall wedding day that we made our own!! We didn’t have a single worry and were in the best of hands!

ed... it rained ALL day. Making my lakes side ceremony impossible and, this was my biggest fear because all I've ever dreamed of was a lakeside ceremony. Maddy( Villa's wedding coordinator) and the venue itself jumped into action and made it absolutely perfect! We moved everything to the tent and it was a dream. The lighting in the tent, the perfectly set tables, and the wine barrels and lace... gave my wedding the vintage romantic feel I dreamed of. I received nothing but compliments about how well everything was put together and organized. If I had to plan my wedding all over again I would pick Maddy and Villa Antonio Winery with out question.

utely perfect day that we will cherish forever. But the Villa Antonio staff and Maddy, Villa Antonio's wedding coordinator, made our day so much more smooth and stress free! Maddy is amazing. She was so friendly and helpful with anything I needed. Even the night before the wedding, I had one last minute thing left that I was worrying about and she took it onto her plate and helped me with it! I can't say thank you enough. She made me feel more like a friend than just a client. I am so glad we chose this venue and YOU should, too!
