Villa Pliniana by Sereno Hotels

a a single 500 sq room in a shared building and nothing like a "villa" that we excepted for a prepayment of over $6000 USD. The ground floor room was on the service road to and from the building. We shrugged and figured to make the best of it regardless. When we started to get ready for the evening, we come to find out the towels smelled of mold and there was no upright shower or curtain but a bath tub and hose. When we asked for new towels, of course none arrived. Then while preparing for the evening, in the middle of showering in the bath tub, we come to find out that our building had run out of water !!! Apparently this happens quite often, on the island so one would assume "experienced" staff would have dealt with this before. NOPE ! The facility had no back up in place. When we raised our concerns with the desk, the manager shrugged and said that "this happens, and its not my problem." We were forced to move out of the room and stay at another hotel. It was clear that this was an operation run by amateurs to the hospitality industry not able to handle a large event. If you are planning an event at this location, I cannot warn you enough to BEWARE and book at your OWN risk.
