The chef was masterful and Adam’s leadership in executing everything was over-the-top amazing. My husband is from Italy and we had a strong idea of what we wanted, and Adam was so flexible and helpful in ensuring that the menu and presentation was just what we wanted. We’re not exaggerating when we say that we completely customized our menu. The servers executed the multi-course well gracefully and kept things moving in a timely fashion without rushing guests or keeping them waiting. Also, if you envision a huge antipasti spread like I did - Village Pantry is your go-to! We heard nothing but rave reviews and Giovanni and I made sure we sat down to enjoy it all for ourselves, so we know all speak the truth when they say it was all delicious. And then to turn around and have the team at it again on Sunday was insane, but awesome. It was so fun to see so many guests again, and they were certainly well fed and happy. Village Pantry has our highest recommendation. Bravo, team!

guests remark on how quickly water glasses were refilled and plates were cleared. The food was very very good. My guests remarked that the hors d'oeuvres were delicious and well laid out. We had a fruit plate, a cheese plate, stuffed mushrooms, crab cakes, and chicken cordon blue bites. We definitely had plenty of food. For the entrees, we ordered the filet of beef, the chicken w/ Mediterranean compote, and the vegetarian lasagna. I personally had the filet which was cooked a nice medium temperature. I have been to weddings where the filet is well done and the consistency of leather. The day of my wedding we could cut the filet with our butter knives! It had a delicious bousin topping and was nicely laid over top garlic mashed potatoes. I received so many compliments on how good the food was that evening. I also have to remark that my quote from Village Pantry Catering was extremely reasonable and lower than almost all of my other quotes from other caterers. Jill was so easy to work with and very responsive while I was going through my menu selections and details of the wedding process. I would highly recommend Village Pantry Catering to any bride! Our food choices were a bit non-traditional given that we didn't want to serve a meal, and we also had many dietary restrictions (vegan/vegetarian, dairy allergies, gluten free, etc). They handled all of our special requests with ease, making the mashed potato bar with no dairy and providing many delicious meat-free options. When we found the cost becoming too expensive, they worked with us to select different options and create combinations to feed the right number of people without breaking the bank. They also allowed us to buy our own alcohol for the bar, which helped us cut down on cost and personalize our drinks selection. The servers and bartenders were friendly and professional, and our event manager was a pleasure to work with. Above all, our guests raved about the food (especially the mashed potato bar!). We would recommend Village Pantry to anyone needing a fantastic caterer and wanting to support an amazing local business.

Jill worked with us in providing several different menus (and was patient when I kept changing my mind or couldn't decide)! In the end, she helped us create a Cincinnati themed menu for our downtown wedding that had guests raving. We had a variety of Cincinnati themed stations including a Skyline Chili bar and Montgomery Inn station. The mashed potato bar was amazing and everyone loved the Reuben dip! I was also impressed that they did a one-on-one tasting of your menu, instead of a scheduled group setting with 50 or more people like other vendors did. Even though we had hired a day of wedding coordinator, Jill became the one I turned to with all my questions. She knew our theme, location, and when we couldn't find the perfect table coverings or bar setup, she found it for us. We went to several rental places in Cincinnati and Dayton and wasn't happy with the blush/champagne linen offerings. She found the perfect champagne sequin tablecloths and blush textured lines that we were looking for, and there were the same price as the cheaper rental place in Dayton. The venue looked amazing on the day of our wedding (thanks to the linens and bar setup), and the staff was impeccable. Everyone was polite and courteous and greeted our guests with a smile. We would 100% recommend using Village Pantry and don't think our wedding vision would have came to life without them. They are open to suggestions on any menu and take advantage of their linen rentals. Thank you Village Pantry for everything!

Jay Ward and the rest of the staff completely exceeded my expectations. Jay met with me at my office to lay out the space and then sent me a menu based on the most popular items. When I made updates to the menu, he was quick to revise and send right back to me. The evening of my event, the VP staff was early and made sure the food and my space looked perfect. During the event the staff was one step ahead of me the entire evening and left my office looking better than it did before the event. I am still getting compliments on how delicous the food tasted. e mainly worked with Jill, who was amazing. She coordinated wonderfully with our reception location. Jill also helped us coordinate getting pulled pork from Eli's for the main dish. She helped design the rest of the 'comfort food' menu, and our guests were raving. Only complaint? I expected to have more leftovers, but people were going up for 2nds, 3rds and 4th servings! :-) I highly recommend VP Catering for their service, reasonable cost, and delicious food. I was very impressed.

had met Jill Heltman a few months before at our tasting, but we had no idea how amazing, professional, detailed, and overall tasty the food and the service would actually be. We had the roast round with a carver (this was the talk of the night-everyone loved it and it got devoured!). Jill was also kind enough to make us penne pasta with sausage and green peppers as our second entree since we wanted something other than just the standard chicken. We got green beans with red peppers, caesar salad, and roasted new potatoes as well. Jill and her staff personally made plates for my husband and I to ensure we ate first. The staff was simply phenomenal....The worked the room to a T! They were incredibly attentive of us and our guests. No one ever went without water and wine, and they cleared the plates as soon as people were finished. The staff looked very professional as well, and the food presentation was incredibly appealing and well organized. I could really go on and on about this company and the impeccable service they provided us on our big day. I was also very impressed by the table settings and the linens they provided us. Our tables looked amazing. This was especially impressive since they had never catered to our venue before (I believe they are being added as a preferred vendor because of the rave reviews my guests gave!). 10 stars out of 5, no doubt. I would recommend Village Pantry to anyone in the Cincinnati/Kentucky area. You will not be disappointed, and neither will your guests!

They also prepared, served, and labeled the food carefully, because we had several guests with allergies. They provided real (not plastic) silverware, plates, and champagne flutes for the bridal table, and cut and served the cake (they are the only caterer I have seen to actually serve the cake). The food was delicious, and everything was the proper temperature when served. The staff were also very professional and helpful; they were quick to clear away the dishes when we were finished. They also offer a delicious bruschetta bar as a cocktail hour. I was very impressed with the food (I dreamed of the sweet potato soufflé) and service.

n. While the hor dourves were fun the main courses disappointed. They tried to sell us on their waitstaff and business plan vs. letting the food talk for it's self. Thank goodness a friend recommended Village Pantry because the food alone sold it's self!!! However, amazing customer service helped make our decision easier. Joy from the very beginning was so friendly, prompt, and made us feel very special. We had three (yes you heard me three), tastings and not once did Joy make us feel bad about coming in so many times! They are very thorough in making sure that every single detail is taken care of. I'm also a Wedding Planner at Brittney Renee Events and because of our experience, Village Pantry Catering is now at the top of my vendor recommendation list!!! The wedding party arrived a little early to the reception venue and while guests where still enjoying cocktail hour we stayed on the party bus to well....party! Next thing I know Joy was on our bus with two trays passing around hor dourves! We were all so hungry and everything tasted even better than we remembered!!! We had a seated dinner and the service was absolutely outstanding!!! Each staff member constantly had a smile on their face and felt like family. The main course or as many of our guest said, "the BEST meal I've ever had" was beautiful in presentation, the perfect temperature, and most importantly tasted amazing! We had a duo plate of Filet and Chicken Monterrey with accompaniments of ranch style potatoes and grilled vegetables. Mouth watering yet? I can't even count how many compliments we received from guest after guest. I'm teary eyed writing this thinking about how everything turned out beyond expectations! C, and was the most patient person I have ever worked with. Through many changes, additions, subcontracting, to even providing linens and rentals, Jill was the utmost in professionalism and graciousness. The food they provided for the cocktail hour at Music Hall and the dinner, bar service and waitstaff at the Center was phenomenal. Besides being delicious, all three dinner stations were set up elegantly. The wait staff was very attentive in pouring wine/champagne and cleaning up tables quickly. They also provided bar service which was excellent. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND VPC, and would like to thank them and especially Jill for her above & beyond service to our family!

d up changing my venue in the middle of planning and when making the decision to move my venue I wanted to make sure that I would still be able to use VPC because of Jay. He helped me so much with ideas and making sure I wasn't going to far out of the realm of my budget and theme. He was very responsive and the food is AMAZING and the pricing is so reasonable for the quality. I had a buffet, which I wasn't so sure about, but with my budget, it was what I went with. On the day of the wedding VPC was super professional and the food was so good. Everyone at my wedding raved about it and said that they had never had food at a wedding that was that good. They also brought it Skyline cheese coneys for my late night snack and it was a hit. I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks Jay :)

She was full of great suggestions, and was even willing to work with us to create an appetizer menu to highlight my husband's Filipino heritage (we decided not to do that, but their willingness to customize really stuck with me). When we elected to serve ice cream for dessert, they brought special dishes for my husband and I to eat from, and sent them home with us. We were very impressed with the food as well. We went with a barbeque theme to match the casualness of our tent wedding, and had many compliments about the food. Plus, it was well within the limits of what we wanted to spend. I consider Village Pantry one of the best choices from my wedding!

The food was amazing! We had a buffet spread that included the Chicken Montreal, Sauteed Tilapia, Grilled Vegetables, Rosemary Roasted New Potatoes, and the Signature Salad. Even as the bride and groom we ate our full plates of dinner during the reception, it was just too good to stop! Beyond the amazing food I have to comment on the staff. From our first tasting, to carrying the B&G's plates to our table, to the packed up leftovers our catering company took such good care of us. We had cheese and fruit appetizers, that I even got a plate of before our on-site ceremony b/c I forgot to eat! I know how attentive they were to me and know my guests felt the same. To sum it up if you are looking for quality of food, service, and presentation Village Pantry Catering is a great choice. Good luck to all you brides to be!

! We did a barn wedding and wanted the homemade food to go with it (Fried Chicken, mashed potato bar, green beans, coleslaw, etc.). Every guest that I spoke with said how delicious the food was and how amazing the serving staff was. My husband and I still talk about how delicious everything on the menu was and we crave it! Jay and his team went well beyond a catering service. The service alone was enough to make the night comfortable for all our guests. They were quick to clean up empty drinks and plates. Jay was extremely easy to get in contact with and was always prompt. Village pantry gave creative ideas for decor and went above and beyond by helping us set up the barn. This team is compassionate and truly wants your event to be perfect for you. I would not change a thing on my wedding day and I owe it all to Jay and the Village Pantry Team. Thank you so much!

d was delicious and the temperature was piping hot, just like we wanted it. We had a sit down dinner, which in itself can be challenging when catering to over 270 guests. They transported everything from Loveland to Fairfield Township which was an hour and a half away. The staff was very professional and courteous, always helpful and very accomodating. Their prices are very reasonable, and their menu has alot to choose from. If you plan your event at RSVP or if you cater somewhere else, you will not be disappointed. We could not have asked for any better service and will certainly be utilizing their company again!
