We knew after completing the cake tasting that the cake would be delicious but had no idea that every crumb would be consumed. Our guests raved not only about the artistry but the flavor of the cake. Most guests came up for seconds! The rich chocolate flavor in the chocolate cake with salted caramel filling was the best I've ever tasted! The marble, vegan, gluten free was delightful as well but the winning cake was the vegan lime! A fan favorite of all of the guests, most having no idea that it was a vegan cake!! The flavor and moistness, topped with the sweet creamy frosting made each bite of cake a treat! Erica paid attention to every detail and had wonderful suggestions on the design and servings. The cake was truly a work of art and was enjoyed by each and every guest! I really never knew how big of part of the wedding that the cake plays, but it really does! Guests complimented the cake many times over! Erica has a true talent of not only cake baking but artistry as well! I can't thank Village Patisserie enough!

late cake with strawberry filling! Both were absolutely outstanding on our special day! Our family and friends couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the cake was and how good it tasted! Even to this day when I show people my wedding photos they stop at the cake and say “wow that looks so amazing!!” (they are right!) Erica also made chocolate chip cookies as my favors and they were so yummy and perfect sized for favors! We couldn’t have had a better person for our wedding desserts! I can’t wait to hopefully have more of Erica’s yummy treats in the future :)

cake was to be a centerpiece of the reception. Tall and elegant. No side cakes, no cupcakes, just a magnificent, beautiful wedding cake. Well, it was the centerpiece, but for all the wrong reasons. Despite having a picture of the desired cake, a detailed discussion of the soft and romantic wedding aesthetic, and a swatch of the bridesmaid dress fabric, the cake was a completely wrong color. It was also not tall. The tiers in the inspiration picture were clearly 3 layers, but our cake tiers were only 2 layers which completely changed the look of the cake and level of impact. The wedding colors were blush, nude, cream, and rose mauve. The cake was described by some as dark gray and by others as purple. Several people at the reception asked "what happened to the cake?" The bride could not help but tear up when she saw it. It was so awful. Erica was by far the most expensive baker we tried and at that price point, you expect to get what you ask for. When we expressed our disappointment after the wedding, she refused to acknowledge that the cake was nothing like what we asked for. In an effort to be reasonable despite the huge disappointment on a once in lifetime day, we asked for a 50% discount. Erica refunded only 20% which I find appalling.

The week of the wedding, we asked how to cut the cake, concerned there would be a support layer. Erica did not say there was one and sent us a video that was inaccurate as to how we should have cut the cake. It almost toppled over while cutting it (like the video showed) at the wedding. I was heartbroken and so embarrassed. The only positive to this experience was that our guests enjoyed the flavor of the cake.

beautiful but it was SO DELICIOUS. We saved our top tier for our anniversary and I seriously cannot wait to enjoy it again! She offers so many amazing cake and filling options, and they were all incredible!

g touch that got me through my pandemic wedding!! I recommend pretty much anything but the Carmel Apple was a perfect match for an October wedding. From day one with our cake tasting to the wedding cake Erica/Village Patisserie was high class and so much fun to work with. She's booked again for our covid delayed reception and I can't wait to see her next creation. Definitely a must!!!

Additionally, she designs gorgeous cakes that taste amazing! I would highly recommend the Village Patisserie for any special occasion and look forward to working with her again.

we were only about 4-5 months out from our date and still in need of a cake! Luckily we found Erica, and the process was so easy and stress free from there. She was so quick to respond and very easy to work with! We loved getting to have our cake tasting and were very excited with all the options. We ended up having 4 different flavors of cake. My husband, who does not have the same appreciation for cake that I do, actually loved her fresh apple cake. It was a perfect flavor for a fall wedding as well and we received many compliments! Erica delivered the cake to the venue the morning of, and also finished the decorating on site using flowers that my florist provided. It turned out looking even more beautiful that my inspiration Pins! Although we did not get an opportunity to have any at our wedding after the cutting, we are already counting down the days for our pink champagne tier that we saved for our first anniversary!

I also have DJed weddings since 1993, so I shamefully have to admit I have tasted wedding cake more than a few times. Hers was better than others I've tasted, and I've worked at weddings where I know the cake cost a pretty penny. She charges VERY fairly and is worth every penny. To this day, she's the only cake person I'd recommend to DJ clients also in need of a wedding cake. My wife has hired her for cakes for other occasions besides our wedding, all with magnificent results. At least give Village Patisserie a look and a taste before you decide which baker to choose to help with your wedding cake and/or dessert.
