my future mother-in-law, and my future sister-in-law with me. It made the experience feel so special and intimate. They even had champagne waiting for us, which made it even more fun and celebratory.
One thing I really loved was that I was able to browse photos of the dresses ahead of time. That helped me get an idea of what styles I wanted to try on before I even arrived. The boutique had a beautiful variety of dresses, and Shelby and her mom, were so helpful throughout the whole process.
Funny enough, the very first dress I tried on ended up being the one! I still tried on several others just to be sure, but I kept coming back to that first one.
They took my measurements and ordered the dress, and when it arrived in February the measurements were spot on. It fit almost perfectly and only needed a small strap adjustment to make it just right.
I’m so grateful for such a smooth and memorable experience. Finding your wedding dress is such a special moment, and this boutique made it one I will remember forever. I couldn’t recommend them more!

pm. Then I started to receive multiple messages from her planning a time and price range out, her expectations on arriving early, parking, which was fine. Then I told her my wedding day that is 9 months out she continued to message me and made me stressed that I wouldn’t get a dress in time I had to pay an additional amount for a rush order. I messaged her back asking if she did “of the rack dresses” and/or can I cancel my appointment then/get a refund of my money. She told me she will not give me my money back and they don’t offer off the rack, keep in mind this is weeks in advance.
So in my head if she won’t give me my money back, I will still go and get my moneys worth and have fun with my family. I made an appointment the same day at 9am at a different dress store, they were amazing. Words cannot describe the experience I had with the other shop.
Upon my arrival I was early, she was waiting by the door. Never gave a tour or let my family look at the dresses or give me any to try on. She had already preselected dresses out for me. Once in the dressing room she asked if I have gone anywhere else, I told her yes. She asked to see photos of some of the dresses I tried on. Shelby’s mood instantly switched she became very short/snippy almost jealous. I’m usually not one of these people, but the whole store stunk as well as Shelby, I had to hold my breath a few times. I had to put all the dresses on myself and get out of them myself. She had to take a break in between and left me standing in the dressing room with only my underwear on. Shelby’s mother continued to come in when I was getting in and out of the dresses made me uncomfortable. I tried on all the dresses she pulled for me and wasn’t in love with any of them, don’t get me wrong she had stunning dresses at her business. My family made a comment that “you’ve only said you loved one dress today.” Shelby instantly snapped back and got mad that I came to her shop after loving another dress. We went back to the dressing room I got out of the dress, she told me to get dressed and go to the front by her desk/office. When I came out my family members were shocked to see me dressed as we were only there for 20-30 minutes, I told them she wanted to meet me in the front. When I went to the front she preceded to tell me, when I was showing her the photos of the dresses I tried on at the other store she saw my yes sign from the store (which I never did say yes) She then says “if you already had a dress you loved, I don’t know why you even came here.” I shook my head shocked on how unprofessional she was and said I never actually said “yes” to it yet I came here to try your dresses on to be 100% sure. I walked out of the store, she ruined the whole experience of dress shopping. I have never wrote a negative review in my life but I would hate to hear or see a future bride have the same experience I did.

Near the end I was able to narrow my search down to two dresses. While I had these two dresses on, Shelby had me hold a flower bouquet and put a veil on me. Once I put on my dress I just knew it, but wasn’t yet convinced. Shelby asked me “if I were to come back tomorrow and this dress was gone (I couldn’t order it) would I be upset?” That’s how I knew for sure it was my dress. One last try on with the veil and bouquet and the tears came 💕.

I started my search for my perfect gown on my own at a shop near where I lived. Unfortunately, I was...
n't offered much guidance, and my body had changed quite a bit in the 10 years since I'd been in a formal gown. I felt defeated and like I'd have to settle to find something that flattered my body type, regardless of how close it was to my ideal gown. I shared some of my frustrations with some friends, one of whom had heard of VCBB at a bridal expo, and her exact words to me were, "they make it so special, and you will feel like a QUEEN!" - and it couldn't be more true.
From the moment I booked with Shelby, I knew from our first conversation that this was going to be the positive experience that I'd been searching for. She took the time to learn about my venue, my vision, and what I'd hoped for in a dress. The day that I showed up for my appointment, she and her mom met my bridal party with mimosas, bundt cakes, and nothing but amazing energy.
I was able to find a dress that surpassed any and every expectation, and I was able to have peace of mind in knowing that every gown in the shop was affordably priced. This was easily one of the most joyous experiences that wedding planning had to offer, and that's all thanks to the efforts of Shelby and her mom!

My bridal party, mother and mother and law got to watch me in an open room while I tried on dresses. I knew in my heart right away when I put on the first dress she had me try on that it was my dress and it was the best feeling ever, but I did continue to try on other dresses just in case.
