It pains me to write a bad review because we had such high hopes for hosting our wedding here. But if you are a future bride planning an event here, I suggest looking elsewhere.
...
The long story: we booked in July 2024 for June 2025. In December 2024, I sent an email to our point of contact, and the Director of Sales and Marketing informed us that she would be taking over until they hired a replacement. We had no further explanation and communication was nonexistent until our planner reached out to schedule our tasting in February. When we arrived at John Ash, they asked about our two other guests. What other two guests? They forgot to mention that we could bring guests to our tasting. They also prepared two extra tasting plates, but never confirmed with us that we were bringing guests (??) The General Manager interrupted our tasting to inform us that the Lobby was undergoing renovations, and that there is a chance it would not be completed by June 2025. We expected the pool and banquet hall, but there was NO MENTION of the lobby construction, which sits across from our ceremony site. We left our tasting feeling incredibly uneasy and sent emails informing them about our dissatisfaction, asking for more transparency. We also noticed they were hiring many new job positions, and were told that they were "expanding".
1 month before our wedding, we are communicating with the new Events Specialist Coordinator, who is very green behind the ears. It takes weeks to sort out ceremony layout, reception rentals, and catering packages. We were surprised with extra charges to move chairs, put on chair pads, and extra servers for the buffet. None of this was previously communicated. Even our planner was surprised at these new changes because she worked with them before. It is very clear at this point that Vintners is not telling us something. But we were promised no extra surprises on our wedding day, and given platitudes.
Finally it's the Friday before our wedding, and when we checked into our room, they tried to charge us $2k. When we asked what this was for, they stated that they were unsure. They left us a welcome card in our room. Honestly I kind of expected more, especially because we communicated many times over many months how unhappy we were with them. But we get nothing, not even a small bottle of champagne, which is disappointing because that is very easily an extra touch of thoughtfulness that could impress guests staying at your hotel. Clearly at this point, they do not care about us.
The worst of it all is that there are construction workers drilling concrete during our first look. Our photographer had to yell at them to stop and move out of the way. The "Vintners Resort" sign on the street is taken down and painted over on Friday and not back up by Saturday, our wedding. At this point we are so tired of dealing with all of this. But it's not the end. A few days after our wedding, there is an instagram post announcing a name change to "Vinarosa Resort and Spa"... and now it all makes sense -- the lack of transparency, the lack of staff, the open positions, the incompetency.
We dealt with so many other spectacular vendors, but Vintners/Vinarosa was the ONLY vendor that left us feeling dread during wedding planning, on our wedding day, and even now looking back. I was hoping that we could come back here for wedding anniversaries, but I never want to deal with them ever again.

Vintners Resort was absolutely perfect for our wedding! The venue is gorgeous in all seasons, and our guests loved the ease of staying on the property and walking over to the cerem...

A huge thanks to Jessica and Courtney in answering all our questions and making sure everything ran incredibly smoothly. I would absolutely recommend Vintners to anyone planning a wine country wedding!

We had an amazing experience at Vintner's Inn! The entire facility is beautiful, especially the gardens. Denette was extremely organized and efficient, and the staff was very frien...
dly and easy to work with. Our guests raved about the gorgeous surroundings and the excellent food. It's also convenient, as guests could stay at the inn, eat at the River Vine cafe for breakfast/lunch and the John Ash restaurant for dinner, walk around the vineyard, use the spa and pool, and have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place. We have no complaints of any sort and would recommend Vintner's Inn 100% to anyone looking for a beautiful wine country venue!

Working with everyone at Vintners Inn was amazing, especially Denette. She worked with us through the whole process, willingly gave us several revised contracts after we changed ou...
r minds on a few things, and had great communication through all the details of our big day. She worked well with our vendors, especially our coordinator, who is the main person she had to be in contact with to make sure everything went smoothly. On our big day the venue was beautiful as always, the reception room was set up perfectly, and we had everything we needed (welcome table and escort card table , chairs, cocktail tables, linens, fire pit). The staff was professional and did everything we needed to make our day perfect! The venue has several different areas to host a ceremony and reception, depending on the size of the wedding and your preferences. We used the bridal suite to get ready in and it was large enough to fit 7 bridesmaids and 2 moms along with all our snacks and drinks, and dresses. The Inn itself is expensive for a Friday and Saturday night, but that's expected in wine country and we received a night free (our wedding night). Overall I couldn't have asked for a better venue!

Vintners Inn was a DREAM! Not only is that how we felt about our wedding venue, but those are also literal words from some of our wedding guests who absolutely loved the venue. The...
grounds are impeccable. The setting is gorgeous, with vineyards behind you and ivy growing on the buildings next to you as you get married. The food is incredible – we received so many rave reviews from our guests, which is really saying something when you have to hand craft 140 meals. The list truly goes on, but I would be remiss if I were to leave out one of the most critical components of a perfect wedding day – the site coordinator!
After calling and emailing about 100 venues, none of the site coordinators came remotely close to Denette and Julia. They were truly a pleasure to work with – so friendly, helpful, accommodating, and patient. I was shocked at how difficult it was to connect with other venue site coordinators when I was venue hunting – and when you would get ahold of them, they were usually rude and acted like they were doing YOU – the client – a favor! I couldn’t believe the horrendous customer service in the wedding industry – but luckily, I found Vintners Inn and all was right in the world.
Thank you Denette, Julia, and Vintners Inn for helping us create the wedding of our dreams! The photos turned out gorgeous, and we will cherish the memories for years to come!

Vintner's was the perfect site for our wedding. Even though it rained on the day of, which prevented us from having an outdoor ceremony, they had a back up plan and we had a beau...
tiful ceremony anyway. The food was great (our guests RAVED about the lamb entree) and service was professional. Denette and Julia were very responsive and involved from the beginning. My only complaint is that they do not have a bridal prep room. If you don't stay there on Friday night, there isn't anywhere to get ready, which can cause logistical issues. Despite this, I would still recommend this venue wholeheartedly.

I had the great pleasure of working with Denette Huffman, the wedding specialist at Vintners for my wedding in June, 2015. There are so many wedding venues to choose from in wine c...
ountry and I had a long list of venues that I visited and priced out. My selection in the end came down to the ease of working with Vintners. In particular, Denette Huffman; the wedding specialist at Vintners.
From the moment we interacted, Denette was responsive, flexible, knowledgeable and pleasant. I really like that Vintners is not only a gorgeous venue for a wedding but most everything is all inclusive. The catering, beverages, ceremony arch/pergola, reception hall, tables and chairs, place settings, linens are all ON SITE. Plus, you really don’t need flowers besides the ones the bridal party carries because the grounds are absolutely stunning. Once you select the food and beverage menu and linen colors, you basically only need to hire your own photographer, florist and bakery. Denette has a great list of preferred vendors that she weeded out to be professional to work with.
Frustrated after trying to get quotes from multiple OTHER venues in the area, I was extremely impressed with Denette and Vintners presentation of the quote. Unlike the others venues who just threw together some generic brochures of the property and wedding packages (nothing specific to my wedding written down) and a list of preferred vendors for me to call on my own to piece together a quote; Vintners has an excellent quote tool that Denette used to provide a detailed quote so I could see exactly what was included and what was extra. This made the selection process so much easier. Once the decision was made to select Vintners, Denette continued to be responsive to my needs and made my wedding planning process smooth.
As we continued through the process, since Denette has done so many weddings at Vintners, she had some great suggestions on layout and ultimately left it up to my wedding coordinator and I to decide. I went with Denette’s suggestions and am completely satisfied with my whole wedding experience at Vintners. Besides Denette’s excellent customer service, the well seasoned staff at Vintners are also a pleasure to work with and very accommodating and responsive. I can’t tell you the number of times I popped in to check out or measure something for decorations and every employee at Vintners I came across was always extremely helpful. The food is organic, fresh and delicious.
A few weeks after the wedding and I’m still getting compliments from my guests about what a lovely experience they had at Vintners. Thank you to Denette and the staff at Vintners. I’m extremely satisfied with choosing Vintners to celebrate the most important day of my life. I highly recommend to anyone looking to get married in wine country to check out Vintners. My husband and I loved the property and staff so much that we plan to come back for a long weekend at least once per year.

This was the perfect venue for our wine country dream wedding. We booked Vintners Inn on our first visit. We worked with their wedding specialist, Denette Huffman throughout the en...
tire process and she was awesome. As a very detail oriented bride, I always had a ton of questions and Denette was always very responsive to emails and phone calls. We also hired Ali Diluvio as our Day of Coordinator, who is on their preferred vendors list and has coordinated several weddings at Vintners. So working with Denette and Ali together made the planning process so much easier.
The Venue: The grounds of the Inn are so beautiful and green and surrounded by vineyards. The ceremony area is on a shady lawn area that faces a beautiful arbor and vineyard. Their event center is perfect for any sized wedding. We had 140 guests and used the main ballroom which was perfect for our wedding.
The rooms are luxurious and spacious and perfect for getting ready. We stayed in our suite for two nights, the wedding night is included, then we just paid for the second night.
The food: Catering is provided by the restaurant on the property, John Ash & CO and we love their food. We've eaten at the restaurant several times so we were excited about the food at the wedding. We did the buffet option and everyone loved the food.
I could not be happier with the venue we chose and how our wedding day turned out. It was such a beautiful and amazing day. Our guests loved the venue, the food and everyone had a great time, which is exactly what we hoped for. Vintners Inn will definitely be a place we go back to celebrate special occasions and weekend getaways for years to come. Thank you Vintners Inn and thank you Denette!

THe setting at Vintners in unbeatable. All of our photos have amazing backdrops. The staff was going through some growing pains during the year I planned my wedding as they were ...
in the process of hiring a new wedding coordinator. For us that meant that we had to be a bit more detail oriented than I would expect from a venue that specializes in weddings. In the end it all came together beautifully and Denette the newly hired wedding coordinator is really on the ball and help pull everything together.
The food was amazing! So many guests told us it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding. At first glance it may seem expensive, but Vintners prices were equivalent to places that were not nearly as lovely.
We also loved that our guests could stay at the hotel. With seventy people traveling from other areas to attend our wedding this was a huge convenience. Yes, the rooms are pricey - but they are the most beautiful rooms available in the area.
I have already recommended this venue to others who are planning their wedding. We could not have been happier with our event. The staff was wonderful!

First impression, the grounds at the Vintners Inn are impeccable, the first look at the place you just think WOW. And then after meeting with the event coordinator (who is wonderfu...
l) and trying the AMAZING food, it almost seems too good to be true! Our wedding was perfect, beautiful, classy and ever detail was executed (and I had a lot of detailed stuff)! The staff was amazing, the inn was great, the restaurant is to die for, the grounds are beautiful, and it's in the middle of the Sonoma County wine country! It's very easy to get to, no country roads for guest to get lost! What's also great is they are set up for wedding but it doesn't look like a wedding factory. In fact it looks more like a winery but doesn't carry the winery price tag or restriction (no noise/music after 10pm at almost all wineries)!! We danced until midnight at our wedding! The price includes catering and a very fancy cake from Patisserie Angelica. You just go to the bakery pick you flavors and decide what you want it too look like and they send you on your way. We go married outside overlooking the vineyards, had cocktail hour on their outdoor patio and then dinner in a brand new ballroom! The event coordinators recommended some wonderful vendors to us but they are not contracted with specific people so you can bring in anyone you'd like. The 'Day of' coordinator was fantastic. She is super organized, kept us on scheduled and is a very nice person. All the employees at Vintners Inn love their jobs and it shows. Our experience was truly 100% positive. I would highly recommend Vintners Inn for your wedding or special event!

I got married at the Vintner's Inn in April of 2010. We wanted to get married in the wine country and I fell in love with the beauty of this site. There were a few mishaps but th...
e day of was amazing. I chose this site because it has a day of backup place incase it rains. My "day of" wedding planner, Lindsay was very helpful and made the day run very smoothly. The actual Inn would not make acceptions with price for people staying there, so we ended up getting a great deal at the Hyatt in Santa Rosa and then bused people to the ceremony/reception. Everyone has raved about the food. It truly was amazing from what I can remember. It's a bit on the pricy side but I truly loved every moment of my special day. I had 200 people which fit very well in one room and then I had dancing in the other. The bar was in the middle so it was perfect. People expressed how much liked the set up.
