Lena is the girl you need for your wedding or any type of event! She is so unbelievably talented! I hired her for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. I gave her specific songs I wanted for walking down the aisle, which she can practically play anything requested! Then for cocktail hour I just gave her a genre and she was absolutely amazing!! For cocktail hour she played upbeat pop/country music and it just really set the tone for the night! I would recommend her to everyone and anyone!!

We cannot say enough good things about Lena and the Violena team! Their energy and kindness made working with them so great and fun! They had such a large selection of music but were willing to learn anything we wanted or make anything we wanted happen. Their music was beyond beautiful and took our ceremony to the next level! Lena is amazing! She was so wonderful and easy to work with and really cares about what you're looking for. She has so many song selections to pick from. Hearing her play the violin during our ceremony was so beautiful and we received so many compliments. Lena and her team were incredible. I loved that she was available and met to discuss things multiple times before the big day. From the beginning of our wedding planning process, she took the time to talk through the type of music we were looking for, and was super receptive to any updates along the way. Lena and Ryan are absolutely beyond amazing. My mom saw her perform at a wedding a couple years ago and raved about Lena for so long after that I knew I had to check her out. When I got engaged, she was one of the first vendors we reached out to. We hired both Lena and Ryan to play at our ceremony and cocktail hour on wedding day. The booking and planning process was stress-free and Lena was very easy to talk with throughout. I knew I wanted piano music during the ceremony so Ryan played piano while Lena played violin during our ceremony, and then he switched over to guitar for the cocktail hour. Lena and her guitarist are the musical magic you need at your wedding. They are talented beyond measure and bring this joyful energy everywhere they go. My ceremony felt like a romantic feature film and Violena crafted the perfect musical soundtrack. Once the ceremony was over, they moved to Cocktail hour where they transitioned to performers who energized the room with their incredible set. Finally, they played during our dinner hour where everyone in attendance was in awe. People could not stop saying that they sounded so good that they couldn't believe it was live, but there they were. Lena's communication was delightful at every interaction and her professionalism throughout the whole planning process put me at such ease because I knew I could trust her completely. My husband and I are fans for life and look forward to catching one of her shows in the future. Would hire Violena again for any and every event I have in the future!

I can’t say enough great things about Lena. I saw her performing at an art festival about 5 years ago and took her business card, and when I got engaged, she was one of the first people I reached out to. Her talent and passion just radiates when she plays and I knew we needed her to be a part of our day. We hired Lena as a solo musician to play violin at our wedding ceremony, but you can hire any combination of her and her two group members who play sax and guitar/vocals/percussion for any part of your event. The booking and planning process was simple and stress-free and Lena was a great communicator throughout. You can pick your songs or let her do her thing - we did a combination (picked songs for the processional and recessional but let her choose the welcome/prelude music). She is VERY reasonably priced and is also so sweet and compassionate. On our wedding day, we had so many guests tell us how beautifully she played. I’d hire Lena again in a heartbeat.

Lena and her pianist provided incredibly beautiful music for our son & daughter-in-law’s wedding ceremony. All evening, guests commented on their amazing music, and asked for her card. If you’re looking to enhance your special day, definitely give Lena a call.

Really an excellent performance during the wedding that gave that extra element to bring the atmosphere over the top. However, the standout aspect of Violena Music was their commitment to getting it right, taking the time to flesh out the itinerary when we had no idea what we wanted/needed. I really appreciated the brainstorming and patience they demonstrated during this process.

I first found Violena at the food tasting for my wedding venue. Her music was beautiful and I knew I had to have her! She was very quick to respond to my emails, and her information forms were so detailed and helpful for the big day. She even has a list of popular songs with a key to help with choosing them for the ceremony. So many of my guests mentioned how amazing she was! She really makes the ceremony and the cocktail hour stand out. I will recommend her to everyone!

Honestly Lena was a major highlight of our wedding day. It’s been a few weeks since our wedding and our guests are still us telling us how amazing she was. She was also very easy to work with super flexible, and accommodating to any questions I had during the planning process.

We had originally booked Lena to play violin for our cocktail hour but unfortunately she was booked when we decided to post pone our wedding. She worked with us and was able to get us Steve to play our cocktail hour and he was incredible. All of my guests loved him so much! There were a few that even asked me for his contact information to inquire about their own events! He really nailed it and really added a very special touch to my reception. I highly recommend violena music!!

Lena is absolutely amazing. If you haven’t booked her yet, go do that right after you read this review. She is professional, responds in a timely manner, and is the best in the business. She has an incredible list of already played songs as well as the ability to learn anything prior to your big day. The sound quality was perfect despite a little wind and rain during our outdoor ceremony. She even provided a microphone for our officiant! Lena was a joy to work with! As a COVID couple, there were lots of changes. Lena was flexible and her enthusiasm for our big day never wavered. We used Lena for our ceremony violinist. Lena is so talented and we had so many of our guests comment on how much they loved the music. Due to Covid we had to move our date twice and also change our venue and she was so flexible through all of the ups and downs of the pandemic. She worked with us to pick the perfect songs and is willing to learn new songs that she doesn’t already know. I would high recommend Lena for your special day!

While going back and forth on the thought of having live music at our wedding, we found Violena. We were taken back by the beautiful music that Lena and Derek have on their sample page. Immediately we knew we had to have them at our wedding. We reached out to Lena and immediately got a quick and informative response, this was the case from start to finish. She could not have been any nicer and easier to work with throughout the entire process. We went with Lena and Derek for both the rehearsal and our wedding day. It wasn't even the day of the wedding and yet when they played at rehearsal, it brought people to tears with how beautiful their music is. The day of the wedding wasn't any different. Both of them could not have been any more amazing and flexible with last minute changes that were made, literally minutes before the ceremony. Their music is much more than just "back ground" music during cocktail/dinner hour. Our guests were so impressed and amazed by their music and how engaging they were to watch that we have received non stop questions and compliments. To have Lena and Derek at our wedding was priceless. They truly left a mark on our wedding that we will never forget and would highly recommend them to anyone for a number of different functions!

This group was so tasteful, classy and professional! They did a great job keeping in touch about our song list prior to the wedding, and everything sounded so beautiful on the day of our wedding. All of our guests kept telling me how much they loved Violena (we chose the violin/saxophone duo). Additionally, both members smiled the whole time they played and really helped bring a positive happy energy to the venue. They are a perfect selection for cocktail hour/dinner. I’m sure the full band would be great for dancing as well!

There is one word to describe Violena which is...AMAZING. Our journey with Violena started in 2019 when we were planning our wedding for May of 2020. Unfortunately due to the pandemic our original wedding plans were cancelled, and Violena was so accommodating with our new plans for May of 2021. All communication and meetings leading up to the wedding were super easy. Lena and Derek were great to work with and wanted to make sure our day was as special as possible. We had Lena, Derek and Steve play at both our ceremony and cocktail hour at our reception. All our guests raved about the music and loved the mix they played. We were able to pick out the exact songs played at the ceremony, as well as gave them some ideas of what we liked for the reception. My husband and I cannot say enough about how great Violena is! You 100% should include them in your special day.

Lena made our day absolutely amazing! She drove all the way to Chautauqua Lake to play for our proposal. She even braved the cold and wind and still managed to play with excellence! Having Lena play violin at our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! She was professional, helpful and great at communicating. I always knew I wanted live music at our ceremony and when I was searching for someone Lena really stood out. We had her play for our ceremony and cocktail hour. She had great suggestions and made sure she played everything we wanted (even when I gave her the wrong song title and changed it last minute, oops). It sounded so beautiful it made me cry when I heard the bridal party music start. My guests LOVED her and we had so many people asking about her and saying the violin was an awesome touch. Lena was absolutely amazing!!!! From when we first met with her up to the wedding day she was amazing and easy to get a hold of. She worked with my fiance and I on our song selections especially since we had her play the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner hour. She played continuously the entire time, all our guests were blown away by her skills and talent. She was respectful with the state regulations and wore a mask the entire time. If I could leave a 10 star review I would. From our first communication Lena was so professional and friendly. Even though we got married through a pandemic and our venue moved 2 hours farther away, they never skipped a beat and were so happy to make the extra trip. Violena was my absolute favorite part of our wedding. We had them play for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner hour and our first dances. We gave them all of our first dance songs and they learned them so quickly and nailed them. I don't think there was a single guest that did not mention to us how amazing the band was. Honestly, I didn't think I would find a wedding band that I would love...I found some jazz bands and others that just played "elevator music". Until I found Violena Music. My sister had found them at the Elmwood Art Festival a year or two ago. I BECAME OBSESSED. How unique to have an electric violinist and a saxophone?!?!? The violin alone was beautiful...but I did not expect anything like this. Lena and Derek were wonderful and made every request that I made come true. I couldn't be any happier to have chosen them to play the music on one of the best and most important days of my life. All of my guests raved about how amazing they were and asked how I found them!!! I can't thank Lena and Derek enough. The music was amazing and they even played the song for my first dance....they were hands down my favorite part of the entire day. If you are lucky enough to have them play at any event...you'll know what I mean. I could say so many amazing things about them, but you should check it out for yourself. I promise they won't disappoint.

She gives you the option to pick out any and all of your own music, but also offers professional guidance and song suggestions if you need it. Personally, I gave her an idea of the style and feel of music I wanted and let her and Steve come up with their own setlist - and they did an absolutely beautiful job! I’m so glad I had them and would 100% recommend them to anyone - trust me, you won’t regret it!
