Violet Cake Company was launched in 2010 by its artist/owner, Malissa Sanfilippo. Malissa is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she majored in Fine Art. She sees every cake she creates as its own distinctive work of art but also strives to make each cake individual as to the couple's wishes. Malissa would be happy to sit down with you, discuss your wants, answer your questions and collaborate with you to produce the wedding cake of your dreams at an affordable price. Malissa Sanfilippo

Owner

I am a native San Diegan, grew up in Pt. Loma, attended local schools then graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Fine Art. Following my graduation, I moved to the East Coast with my husband and it was there that I discovered my interest and passion for combining baking with art, design and decor. While I was away I was fortunate to train with some of the world's best. Now, back home in San Diego, I continue to work hard, tap into my creative ability while always striving to perfect my craft. My goal is to collaborate with my clients to create their dream cake.
