Having spent summers in the lush and vibrant coffee region of Colombia, it was impossible not to fall in love with the beauty of flowers. Amongst the wild Colombian orchids and heliconias is where my passion for florals truly began. From an early age, I took charge of family celebrations, expressing my creativity through decorating, cooking, and hosting memorable gatherings. This passion led me to pursue a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Hospitality Management, where I honed my organizational and creative skills. After graduation, I immersed myself in the floristry and event industry, gaining invaluable experience working with an event company for several years. With a deep love for designing unforgettable moments and the confidence to chart my own path, Violet Grey Events was born. At Violet Grey Events, every bouquet and arrangement is a reflection of my journey, inspired by the natural beauty of Colombia and my dedication to crafting meaningful celebrations.

Melissa did absolutely amazing florals on my wedding day! I was having trouble finding someone who understood my vision for the atmosphere I was trying to create and Melissa nailed it. From the shade of the ribbons on our bouquets down to the powder blue tapered candles surrounding our centerpieces, she absolutely outdid herself. Our floral arrangements were all stunning and just how I had envisioned them.

Our wedding day posed big challenges due to wind and Melissa really took it in stride. She was wonderful to work with, I felt her excitement along with mine. Florals were fresh, lasted for a long time after and better than I had even imagined. She worked well with our budget and really listened to what we were looking for!

I’d recommend Melissa to anyone who is need of a florist on their wedding day! She went above and beyond for us even when she didn’t have to, and most brides will agree that flexibility like that can make ALL the difference. Our flowers turned out BEAUTIFUL and she really captured what we had envisioned. I was in awe over the flowers and I can honestly say seeing them was one of my favorite parts of the day. All of my guests talked about how beautiful the flowers were. The other decor was just the icing on the cake. I cannot say enough good things. Do not hesitate to book Melissa for your big day!

From start to finish, the girls ensured every piece, every arrangement and every flower were perfectly set. If I had to do it all over again, Violet Grey will absolutely be there again! In the beginning when I told Melissa about what I wanted, keep in mind I have no idea what florals cost, The first quote was way out of my budget. But something in me told me don’t run away, let her know what your budget is so that she can create your vision with your budget. And that’s exactly what happened! I didn’t even necessarily have details or let’s say even a Pinterest board to give her my vision, but I told her the wedding colors and certain plants that were important to me, and I genuinely tear up every time I look back at photos and think oh my gosh look how perfect everything turned out ! I seriously can’t rave enough about Violet gray, so I’ll just give you a piece of advice, stop searching and book them already♥️♥️

Melissa did a fantastic job on all my flowers. I cannot rave enough how wonderful she is and all my flowers were better then I image them to be. She was always available to discuss all my flower needs and my last minute additions. She is amazing and the floral arrangements were better then I envision them to be. Melissa and Company were highly recommended by a previous happy bride. She actually manifested what was mostly in my head. She was super responsive to the point when she knew she’d be unavailable, she’d let me know ahead. She was informative when I didn’t know what to ask. She took away the added burden and worked directly with my venue, I’m most appreciative for her hands-on approach the day of my wedding. When I saw the beautifully decorated arch set-up on the beach and how the floral arrangements brought the reception lounge to life I was awe-struck and simply delighted. Melissa and her team were great to work with. The flowers were amazing and the reception decor was perfect. She was one of the most reasonably priced, but still went above and beyond. She even met us on site during our tasting to get a better sense of what we wanted. I had a million things I liked but not direction when it came to flowers and decor, so I just let her do her thing and it turned out great :) No wedding day is perfect, but she even busted out a new setup when the weather didn't cooperate.

Melissa was so wonderful to work with. I live out of state and she was easily able to help us with all of the planning remotely. I sent her photos, colors, and emails with ideas and she created a package that was more beautiful than I could’ve imagined. It was vibrant, beautiful, and very memorable. She was even able to help with last-minute changes to our order as our guest list had to change due to COVID. She was gracious and wonderful the entire time. I only wish I’d been able to speak with her longer on the day of the event! I highly recommend.

Melissa was AMAZING to work with from beginning to end. Communicating with her was easy and always helpful. She blew our minds with all the florals and other decor she did. Everything was 10 times what we could have imagined! I feel like I not only got a florist with Melissa but a friend as well. She made the whole process so easy and less stressful(which is huge for a bride, especially one planning a wedding during a pandemic). Melissa is an absolute dream to work with! She responded quickly to all texts and emails. She was always on time to our meet ups and she arrived on time to the wedding. My wedding was a low-key, daytime event at the Sundy House. Because of the venue, we didn't need much greenery but the work that Melissa and her team did was phenomenal. Bright pink was our color and everything she did really popped against the gardens. My bridal bouquet was exactly as I envisioned and it photographed beautifully. Melissa also took care of the favors. She did succulents and each one was taken by the end of the day. She also took card of place settings and table numbers so there was nothing for me to do except relax and enjoy our wedding. Hire Melissa--you won't regret it!

Although our initial wedding plans changed for us for our wedding this year I could not be happier with the wedding we had with just close friends and family and Melissa did a beautiful job with the flowers. She completely transformed a dull space that I could have never pictured being a setting for a wedding and she exceeded all of our expectations with the decorations and flowers. My bouquet was AMAZING and the table centerpieces were just perfect for an intimate outdoor wedding. She really listened to what we were looking for and truly brought our vision to life. We are planning on hosting a more formal reception next year for our first anniversary and we will definitely be hiring her again for that party as well.

We absolutely loved working with Melissa! Melissa helped execute our vision for a tropical wedding perfectly. I worked with Melissa over 6 months to fine tune details for my bouquets, wedding arch arrangement, reception arrangements, and other flowers. Melissa was super accessible the whole planning process! She was able to figure everything I wanted out via e-mails only. Just by seeing some inspiration images she created an amazing floral arrangements for my bouquet, ceremony setting, and an awesome hanging flower wall with airplants and all!! I even added some last minute requests that she graciously accommodated for us. I can't wait to see the photographs of our special day so I can look at what her and her team created all again. 1,000% recommend Violet Grey events! Melissa and Amy are literal geniuses! I was able to show Melissa 7 pictures, tell her what I didn't like, and she did the rest. Melissa surpassed my expectations and she did not have a problem working with a bride who had no clue what she wanted. It was so cool to watch her creativity run free while still working within my taste. My bouquet was perfection and when my husband found out he was wearing a a baby pineapple as a boutonniere he thought that was the coolest thing. Melissa and Amy not only set up my ceremony and reception space, but they moved pieces from one place to the another so that larger pieces could be used in more than one way. Melissa was more than willing to accommodate my budget and she gave great advice and tips. I loved her, my MOH loved her, my mom loved her and the staff at my venue loved her. You will love her, too! Melissa is AMAZING. There is literally not one thing that she did not pay attention to, figure out, or beautify. She was on board with my vision for my rustic/romance wine-themed wedding & delivered EXACTLY that. She came all the way down to Miami to make sure she saw the venue and knew what needed to be done. She was helpful with my thousands of additions, changes, and even created a boutonniere and corsage from another flower type at the request of my in-laws. Please, look NO further if you are planning any event that needs even the slightest bit of flowers. If you are planning a wedding and want decor and flowers all taken care of, she is your woman. I literally still have my centerpieces dried out as decor as I write this review. I loved everything! She will be my forever florist for all my future events. Thank you, Melissa, for such a spectacular evening and bringing my dream-wedding, to life!

I will start off by saying that Melissa is so creative that when I was describing my vision to her, she was able to pin every detail I wanted in a way that made me wonder how she was able to see what I wanted so clearly. Melissa and Amanda did an excellent job within our budget. We ha both high and low centerpieces, that added height a very particular ballroom at the Delray BEach Marriott that made it appear to be a $100k wedding! The votives were a beautiful touch and gave the room added an ambience for our black tie affair with 122 guests. I also appreciate her respect for the size of my bouquet, I am 5'8" and about 110 pounds so I didn't want to be looking like I was carrying a bush. The girls bouquets and mens boutonnieres. The crystal were a nice touch. She also prepared an offering for Mary (we are catholic) and can even put a photo of some helpful discreetly on the brides bouquet to get you down the hall. She choose appropriate flowers that were not only beautiful, but within our budget. She stayed on with us the whole day and even set up a glorious memorial table for our decided parents. IN SHORT, I encourage you to hire her and at least set up a meeting.

These ladies are fantastic! Not only do they do beautiful weddings but they do baby showers and birthday parties. I hired them for my mom's 60th birthday party. This was a destination birthday party in another country and they nailed it! I was blown away by how professional and CREATIVE everything ended up. They are so sweet and thorough and easy to reach at all times. I was worried about having a party far from home but Violet Grey Events delivered!! My mom and family had the best birthday party thanks to them!!!

The BEST floral décor and event stylists! Violet Grey Events decorated my surprise engagement party and upon walking into the venue, I was immediately taken aback by the gorgeous décor. From the intricately placed photos of my fiancé and I, to the tasteful table decorations, adorable party favors, and of course the beautiful flowers that matched perfectly with the theme of the party (and even my dress!). Melissa and Co. are the most professional, caring, and talented stylists, and what’s even better is that they will travel for an event! I will definitely be using them again in the future!
