Not recommended for the following reasons: - I had to go back 4 times for alterations because they did not do what we discussed correctly or at all. - The owner/tailor (Ellen) was late to my drop off appointment & didn’t answer the phone when the clerk called her. She also charged more than she quoted for alterations. - At first pickup, I learned another lady had worked on my dress. She did not do what Ellen said would be done. She left nude mesh in the dress that did not match my skin instead of replacing it (she said she was scared to cut it & mess it up), removed my buttons (not discussed), miss-lined the dress so there was a line showing around my bodice, & put the wrong cups inside. They bickered about what was done/not done & she said that she didn’t talk to me so she didn’t know what I wanted. Ellen blamed her & said she’d had to give money back before because of her but promised she would take my dress home herself to fix. - Ellen removed the wrong cups & pinned another set inside (she asked if I wanted push-up cups & I said no). At next pickup, she had put a set of push-up cups in the dress that were too small, the dress was ill-fitting (I later learned it was because of the poor job she did lining it), & they still had not steamed the dress like they said they would. The straps were lined with beading & there was a missing spot so she just put silver beads there because she didn’t have the same ones. We left for her to fix the cups & puckers. The dress still puckered when we went back (she told me to just lose a pound). - I lost weight but the puckers remained so I went to a local tailor shop (I live 2.5 hours away) to see if they could help. - Employees at the local shop were appalled by the state of the dress. They noted that misaligned pieces of the wrong fabric had been used for lining, the wrong lace was used to replace the nude fabric, the bustle was in wrong spot, the wrong cups were used, & incorrect beading on the strap. I had to pay another $$$ to get it fixed the week of my wedding! - I called & Ellen said there was nothing she could do because she had already paid twice to have it altered by someone else. She was unapologetic & unconcerned. - I reported them to the BBB but they didn’t respond.
