Val and her team were wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and our event. Sergio made everything seamless, and our guests really enjoyed his song choices to supplement our must-plays. As a bride, he took so much of the pressure off of me. Also, he was able to accommodate our very large venue, and the music and speeches were heard perfectly throughout, without being too loud. I would absolutely use VIP DJ again.

Other than actually getting married VIP DJ was the best investment for our wedding. Working with Val made the whole night easier and she definitely went above and beyond for us. WOW!!!!! You guys are amazing…..I cannot express in words the great job you did from the ceremony to the reception to closing. If you want your event done right, VIP DJ is the way to go. Aaron was amazing and made the night so special. He captured the whole night perfectly with instramentals for the ceremony, Frank Sinatra during cocktail hour and throughout dinner followed by classics that had everyone dancing!! My favorite part is the conga line to the sweets table to make sure everyone was there for the cake cutting. Honestly, they were the best to work with from the start. My husband, Kevin, and I were very lucky to have both Valerie and Aaron of VIP DJ at our wedding last month. Both were very professional and helped us to make the night run as seamless as possible. Music was a very big priority for me for my wedding this past July. I am always going to concerts and festivals, and music is a huge part of my life. When it came time to choose a DJ, I wanted to make sure the music was a reflection of who we are as a couple. VIP DJ helped make that possible by giving some great advice as to how the music I like can be combined with more popular songs to make it an enjoyable experience for all. I was even given the opportunity to create a spotify playlist, and I believe almost every song was played. When it came time to dance, the dance floor was never empty. The transition from the ceremony music (Lori was our harpist) to the reception area was seamless. Sergio helped keep us on track as well regarding timing. He was fantastic. A fear some people may have is the "cheesy" wedding DJ. Sergio was far from that. He was the right amount of everything and an all around great guy to work with. I love the team at VIP DJ. Everyone from Valerie in my initial meetings to Lori (harpist) and Isaac and Sergio did a fantastic job. I would definitely use them again if I have another big event.

Val and her team are top notch! I got referred by two people, so I knew that was a sign when looking for a DJ for our wedding that we were about to meet our match. We scheduled a meeting where we chatted about what me and groom wanted for the wedding, and got to know Val and DJ Aaron (who ended up playing out wedding.) Val is a savvy business woman with the best personality. She was a perfect match for our special day and we were so pleased with Aaron, who is also a lot of fun. Val & Aaron were able to take what notes we gave to them and make it all work. They even made suggestions with our wedding planner to make the timeline work and go smoothly. I wanted to dance and dance all night at my wedding, and I DID! My husband and I just had the best time. Val walks you through the whole process, pricing is fair and clear. You don't want to book any one else for your special event. Trust me. VIP DJ Entertainment is the BEST out there.

Valerie is an energetic and professional person that really understood what we wanted to get out from our DJ. We planned our wedding from Europe but that was no problem with this crew, as soon as we got to LA we had a sit-down to finalise everything. She made sure that all our request was done and we had a super party. She assigned us Jimmy as a DJ, what a guy! Fun, easy going and professional. Since we had a small wedding I had asked Jimmy take a "party starter" role and he really did, got people dancing and having a good time. VIP DJ helped to make our wedding great. Valerie met with us and interviewed us about what we wanted to hear, our guests, special requests, timing, etc. Loved their online planner she set up afterwards, so we could add to it as we figured things out. Everyone had a blast, they played all the music we requested and more! The mixing and timing was fabulous. Great people, great price, great fun. Highly recommend them!

We initially heard about Valerie and her team at VIP DJ through a mutual friend while we were looking for a DJ for our wedding. We set up a meeting with her, and quickly fell in love with Valerie's enthusiasm, energy, and excitement for our big day! She was one of our absolute favorite people to work with throughout the year-long lead-up to the wedding day and provided a lot of great ideas for making our reception flow smoothly. On the day of, she was professional and friendly to a tee. We couldn't believe how much of a frenzy she was able to whip our guests into - we did our grand entrance into a room filled with thunderous cheers and applause, and that lively spirit persisted throughout the entire evening! She got the dance floor going right after dinner and kept it alive until the very end of the night. She accommodated all of our music preferences while also incorporating guest requests for an awesome playlist all night long. We have nothing but good things to say about Valerie and her team, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a DJ for their event!

From the very beginning, I was impressed with VIP DJ. After filling out a request for info on their website, I got a call from Val, who was 100% enthusiastic, friendly, and amazing throughout the entire process. We met with her twice to go over details, and she spent a lot of time with us discussing the music and planning our wedding day. In addition to providing music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, VIP DJ kept the young people at my wedding on the dance floor! Our guests were delighted by a "Last dance fake-out" that transitioned a slow Etta James song into "Turn Down For What." They kept the energy going and provided mics for our officiant and all of the speeches as well. I loved working with VIP DJ and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

We were very happy that we booked VIP DJ for our wedding. They were great! Everyone gave us so many compliments and had a great time dancing the night away. The DJ kept everyone engaged all night. If you havent booked a DJ yet, I HIGHLY recommend VIP. The owner Fred, got back to me promptly and was very personable and accomodating. He assigned me to one of his DJ's names Justin who was fantastic! Justin took so much of his personal time out to make sure all the little details (things you don't even think about) were covered. He even took a song that I wanted to walk down the isle to and slowed down the tempo as to fit the pace we walk better! He made sure everything ran smoothly the whole night, especially for my bridal party who don't have the greatest sense at following directions hehe. (You didn't hear that from me.) Justin was high energy and kept everyone moving all night. It was a blast! I couldn't say better. You wont be dissapointed.

Valerie was so great!! she is super friendly, full of energy & had great ideas on how to set everything up for a smooth day. Sergio is totataly amazing!! all of our guest are still talkng about how amazing he was. He actually DJ'd our event in both english & spanish! there were people on the dance floor since the grand entrance. I will always go back to them & always request Sergio as my DJ!!

When choosing vendors, you not only want someone who is good at what they do but who you vibe with. You are trusting them with an important day and you want to like them. I met Valerie and liked her right away. I talked to some overly pushy DJs who were very mechanical and tried to sell me in their best "radio" voice. That just annoyed me. I liked Valerie right away and she wanted to work with us to make sure we had our vision. My husband and I have different musical tastes and my tastes are all over the place. I like fun and I wanted all ages to enjoy the music even if they weren't necessarily dancers. We had Val and Terry work our wedding and they were great. It's hard to even remember if you heard one of your songs or what went on where because you are pulled all over. But I enjoyed my night and my guests did, too. They have good suggestions if you are stumped and will work with you to make a great playlist by reading the crowd and trying their best to fit everything in that you request. I'd like to be a guest at another party they DJ so that I can take it all in since as the bride, you miss some of it. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Awesome talent and super fun!

Really friendly and personable. At my friend's wedding he had my husband dancing more than one song (even the conga line!) and for our wedding he was dancing the whole night! VIP DJ was the first and only DJ we needed to meet with! As soon as we meet Val and spent some time with her, we knew she "got" us! We wanted a high energy reception and wanted everyone to have fun and have a great time. We got so much more! There was not one moment when the dance floor emptied! My husband and I danced the night away with our guests. I don't remember another time at a wedding were the dance floor stayed busy, full of people having fun! We had so many guests tell us how much fun they had and THEY didn't even remember any other weddings where they danced the night away! Val, Dan and Will were amazing, I cannot say enough wonderful things about them! They even played a mash-up of some 'Grease' songs, and everyone on the dance floor spilt up (guys on one side, girls on the other) and everyone sang along to their parts and even did the dance moves! I have never seen that before, and EVERYONE LOVED it!!! People say that the DJ/MC are what make the night memorable, and they did just that! They all went above and beyond any of our expectations! I would not change one thing at all about our day. They made it the most PERFECT DAY ever! All you need to do is meet with Val and you will know, she and her team are IT.

I know everyone feels their wedding was the best ever, and I do too, with a huge helping of support from Valerie and VIP DJ! After our first meeting with Valerie, we were hooked. She was so full of energy and made us feel like she would have anything and everything under control. We used them for our ceremony and reception as well as lighting and some drape and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Planning everything before the wedding was a simple and smooth process and they managed to keep people dancing until the bitter end at the reception. Highly recommend!

DJ Val and crew were amazing. They provided us with a library of songs to pick from which was perfect since we LOVE music. They were active with the guests in getting them to participate in games and dancing on the dance floor. We really felt that she was able to get a accurate idea of our personalities and rolled with it. EXCELLENT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My husband is a musician and music was very important to both of us. Valerie Miller at VIP DJ was the only DJ we met. My husband loved her energy and wanted her to be the MC for our wedding. Val worked with our requests and helped us make the reception the party that I wanted it to be. She met with us to work out the exact music we wanted, when we wanted the different dances and moments. She was also willing to call the Money Dance by something else so my family wouldn’t be offended. Our reception was unique, fun, and definitely us. There were a couple songs that went a little long when very few people were dancing. BUT my husband and I had a blast, and we had people dancing at our wedding who told us they never dance at weddings. If you want someone who is can listen and figure out exactly what you want in a reception, use VIP DJ.

With all the craziness going on around us during our wedding day, it was great to be able to sit back and let Valerie do her thing. She got the party started, guests involved, and kept us all entertained. When we had to transition into speeches and dances it was expertly done, with no weird breaks in the action or energy, everything just seamlessly lead into the next. The music selection was great, had young and old all dancing throughout the night. I truly have no idea how it could have been any better.

This is long overdue. My wedding was 2 years ago, but friends and family STILL keep talking about how great it was . Specifically the reception. Val of VIP DJ's was AWESOMESAUCE. She was super easy to work with ,was an excellent MC, And delivered some seriously great tunes. Literally MOST of ( not to mention my favorite ) pictures are of my guests dancing . If you want an event to remember , VIP DJ's is DEFINITELY the call.

DJ VIP was awesome! The music selection was great and it appealed to all ages at our wedding. Young and old...everyone was on the dance floor dancing the night away. They also did our ceremony and cocktail hour and everything went beautifully. Can't say anything but GREAT things about them. And they went all the way to Temecula too! From music, to up-lighting, lapel mic for the officiant, microphones for speeches, etc....it was all perfect. Both Val and her husband were there and they even had a great time dancing as well. It was nice to see everyone having such a wonderful time. :)

Choosing folks to assist you on your wedding day is a major decision, and one that you'll potentially remember for many years to come. Our decision to hire VIP DJ Entertainment was, in short, a solid choice which I'd recommend to everyone. Here's what we got and what we loved: + Several phone calls and one formal meeting before our wedding to discuss the music and general "vibe" of the event + Further, that meeting also established a comprehensive list of items we'd NEVER considered: MC'ing mini events like our first dance, introduction, the procession, the lighting, the sound system, parent/child dance, etc. thank GOD they had an entire checklist prepared with questions to ask about each item. + An interactive website that allowed us to enter our fave songs so they'd be included during the reception + Constant follow-up and check-ins both before and DURING the wedding day. + Dan took care of the sound for us at the ceremony and the reception and also anchored setting up the lights for us as well. All top notch work without any incident. + Valerie took care of the MC'ing and completely owned that part of the evening, much to our amazement and deep gratitude. She kept things moving, on schedule and flowing even when our wedding coordinator could not. In a funny way, we got way more than DJ's and Sound/Light experts: we also got a wedding planner team that executed in ways that our own wedding planner didn't. So believe me when I tell you: you'll get a heck of a lot more than you're paying for in more ways than one. Full disclosure: I know both Valerie and Dan outside of their business, but believe that fact should be a vote FOR the review for several reasons: 1) Before our wedding day, I'd never been to any of their other events. Friends are great and all, but you need folks who are also subject matter experts when you hire them to work for you, especially on your wedding day. And that's always a leap of faith. But we choose to hire them and take their advice based on their long-term experience. And man, we're glad we did. 2) My friendship with Valerie and Dad didn't result in our getting a freebie for our wedding and we'd never expect or allow one anyway. You get what you pay for, so this isn't a paid review or a bought opinion. What I didn't know before my wife and I hired VIP DJ, is that beyond being good people, both Valerie and Dan are also flat-out experts in their field. Bottom Line: these folks are not only good people but a damn good choice for any event that you might be planning. Period.

All of my guests loved Valerie's energy. I was worried at one point cause people were not dancing, I turned around for a minute and the next minute EVERYONE was on the dance floor. I don't know how they did it but I was amazed! We had an dancing good time thanks to VIP DJ! :)

My reception for my wedding was AWESOME!! I coordinated all the details with Val before the wedding and Terry was our MC for the night. Let me start with Val, she is great. During our planning process she was always available to make last minute changes and was beyond understanding. The closer the wedding came, the more stressed I became and lets just say I couldn't handle it and unfortunately some of my anger flew in her direction. She was completely professional and amazing! She not only went beyond my requests, but even tried to help relieve some of the stress by offering to pick up some of my guests from the airport! Of course I couldn't take the offer but it was nice to know that she wasn't just another vendor trying to collect money, she cared about the event as much as I did. Terry is amazing! My favorite thing about Terry is that when he would approach me to give me a heads up about scheduled things like the cake cutting, etc, he would first ask me how my night was going and if there was anything he could do to make it even better. For me this was what I needed. I had so many people coming up to me demanding my attention for either photos, conversation or simple direction that I was feeling like a robot that would spit out information and try to keep the mechanical smile on my face. By the end of the night, I had several of my guests requesting for VIP DJ information. Terry not only had a Epic announcing voice, he has some great dance moves and would get on the dance floor with us! VIP DJ made my wedding reception the greatest party of the year! They truly care about your event and will do anything to make sure you are happy! THANKS GUYS!

Val and Dan are absolutely amazing! Everything form the planning until our actual wedding day and after...they made our day! The lighting was magical, they helped me pick out music (and I'm not easy to please!) Valerie went a few extra miles for us! Val is a magician. Or at least it seemed that way. She DJ'd (and did the lighting for, it was on a rooftop at night) my wedding a little over a week ago and it was PERFECT. The lighting was amazing and just what we needed up there, and the DJ'ing and MC'ing were just fantastic. The flow of the wedding was great - never felt rushed, or that it was lagging. The music was the best, people were dancing literally all night. Multiple people came and told me that our DJ was fantastic. I could not have asked for a better DJ! If you're thinking of hiring a DJ for any event, believe me when I say you NEED Val! :)
