They will wow you with all the menus and their top staff.. but beware it's a sham. They are NOT equipped to cater to weddings.. They should stick to sales meetings and office parties. Their top team does not communicate with each other, no one knows what's going on and their waitstaff is horrible. Poor customer service, and despite the apologies, my wedding reception was ruined. People were not given poor dinner service, the food was unacceptable and their wedding and catering managers are rude. Find a place that caters specifically to weddings and you will be happier even if you pay a little more.

VBCC provided me with an amazing experience. It can be a little pricy but you completely get what you pay for. They were actually the cheapest option we found in the area catering to the amount of people we want to cater too. I love the food, I loved the staff, great variety and they are very in to food leveling and the appearance. The great off set is you dont have to sacrfice the taste. Also they were amazing with organization and patient ... all around they are amazing

I worked with Cassie from Distinctive Gourmet (VBCC's caterer) and Darcy (wedding coordinator for VBCC). They both obviously love their jobs! They went above and beyond for us in every aspect. I highly reccomend this venue for any event! The only issue we ran into: one the staff members accidentaly broke one of our toasting flutes; however, this was quickly resolved- they ordered us a new set to replace it, with no questions asked and no fuss. Great customer service.

The VBCC is a wonderful place to have a wedding reception and/or all in one. The staff and event teams are awesome! They all work together to go above and beyond in making your day "special".

After searching SEVERAl locations in the hampton roads area, my fiance and I came across the Convention center. From the first few emails with them to the wedding reception itself, I was blown away by their accomodations and customer service. I would not have changed a thing about my experience working with them to create my dream reception! Their staff was so personable, phenominal at responses, and truely worked with me on making my vision become alive. I deffinitely recieved more than my moneys worth from this venue. and would highly recommend them. The food was outstanding, my guests raved about every aspect.
