We have nothing but great things to say about our experience with Virginia James. They made the planning process very seamless and were very responsive and easy to work with. They were always happy to jump on a call and discuss some questions we had and go over details. Alicia and Chris were so much fun to work with when deciding our songs and how our ceremony was going to play out. We picked a song for the recessional that was not on their list and their performance with it exceeded our expectations. We had them for an hour before the ceremony and throughout the entire ceremony itself. The music was amazing and matched exactly what we were going for. We are so grateful that we found them and were able to work with them for our wedding day. We cannot thank them enough! We would choose them again and again!!

y issue. Now let’s talk about the performance…WOW! They arrived on time, set up the performance area, sound system and the microphones. The equipment they use is the best. The sound system easily covered the outdoor ceremony and was tastefully placed so as not to distract. The officiant and the groom were miked up and we all clearly heard what was being said. Then there is the playing; this duo of violin and guitar was a great match for our vision. They played all the songs we requested, and it made for a fairytale like wedding ceremony. We are very grateful for the excellent experience Virginia James provided.

They are extremely versatile and have an extensive song repertoire, ranging from the elegant to the lively, from classical to jazz to pop, and have a special instrumental setup, allowing Chris to provide truly unique fingerstyle guitar while accompanied by Alicia's soaring violin. For vocal songs, Chris and Alicia's voices perfectly compliment one another, whether blending on harmonies, duets or solo. From the moment you first contact them, Chris and Alicia work closely with each couple to realize the musical accompaniment for their wedding vision. If you have a specific song you'd like to have them play during your entrance, tell them, and they will arrange it just for you (as they did for my wife and I, when we asked for Coldplay's 'A Sky Full of Stars' for our entrance song...!). Virigina James received a bevy of compliments on our wedding day, and they deserved every one of them, as they played a significant part in making our wedding day absolutely perfect!
