Situated just off of Interstate 664 on Route 17, this boutique is a chic and comfortable salon in which to find your dream gown. Each appointment lasts one and a half hours, during which your personal stylist will work with you to understand your aesthetic and tastes. These professionals will offer their expert knowledge of fit, fabric, and color while always staying true to your vision and budget.
Owner Allison Alderman dreamed of starting her own wedding dress studio since she graduated with a degree in Fashion Merchandising from Old Dominion University. After planning her own wedding in 2016, she became even more determined to turn this wish into a reality. Named after her mother Virginia, this brick and mortar is the result of Allison’s hard work and dedication. She is passionate about hearing your love story and helping you look and feel beautiful and confident as you marry the love of your life.
Virginia’s Daughter Bridal Boutique houses a collection of gowns from Rebecca Ingram, Morilee, Watters, and Moonlight. Sample sizes range from zero to 14, and actual sizes go up to 32. Appointments are recommended, as this allows your stylist to give you the most attentive service possible. During this session, you can try on veils, shoes, lingerie, and other accessories. Once you’ve said yes to the dress, you and your guests will even be treated to complimentary bubbly to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime moment.

I had a wonderful experience at Virginia's Daughters! The salon is beautifully stocked with a wide selection of gorgeous gowns, and the stylist was so comforting and attentive throughout the process. I am absolutely thrilled with my Morilee gown—it was perfect for my big day!

I had an amazing experience here!! I may not have said yes to the dress here but I definitely found the style that I wanted. The variety was vast! Absolutely loved our wedding dress shopping experience at Virginia’s Daughters! The staff was welcoming and friendly upon arrival and their demeanor stayed that way while my daughter searched for the perfect dress. Most importantly, the staff was attentive and listened to what she wanted. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured to make a selection.
Our family has always been a supporter of family owned businesses because the costumer service is typically superb. Virginia Daughter’s was no different!

This is the most amazing wedding Boutique ever!!! All the ladies here are so sweet and committed to make sure you feel beautiful on your wedding day! The selection is huge and super size inclusive. I have already recommended this shop to like five friends!! Its definitely the best place to find your dress!
Virginia and Allison are nothing short of amazing! I originally went to try on my first time in October. Virginia had everything I chose in my look book prepped and ready to go! They were so welcoming and informative on the process and how to pick the right dress. I had my heart set on 2 different dresses and Virginia took note to contact me of any possible changes in availability of my dresses. Fast forward a few months, I continued to search for my dress, but all I could think about was the one at Virginia's Daughter. They were able to get me in super last minute during one of their big sales to try on the dress again and I was able to say YES! I am very excited to see them again once my dress comes in!
I absolutely LOVED it here! I had the best experience! Found my dream dress and was surrounded by the best people because of how amazing the staff is!

LOVED this shop. Allison, the owner, answered my emails so quickly and was able to order lender dresses by my favorite designer. I couldn’t find these dresses anywhere and I ended up getting one of them! She was also super patient while I was being indecisive and repeatedly trying on the same three dresses I narrowed it down to until I could make a decision. The military discount was a huge plus, as was the champagne to celebrate
My sister found the perfect dress for her wedding (her first time trying on dresses!) with the wonderful help of the staff at Virginia’s Daughter Bridal Boutique! We had an incredible experience. The owner and her mama were kind, knowledgeable, experienced, knew their inventory so well, and we’re not pushy. They were the perfect combination!! They threw flower petals when she picked her dress and we toasted with champagne! What a special and helpful experience. 10/10!!

Virginia’s Daughter hands down made my wedding dress shopping an experience to remember. Because they allow large groups unlike many other bridal shops, I was able to share my experience with the closest people in my life. My stylist, Nailah, made me feel so comfortable from the moment we walked in, immediately asking about myself & my style & all of the small details in between. She handled all of mine & my groups questions & made sure the dress was something I loved. Allison was also there the day of my appt & is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Not only was the experience everything I could have imagined, but I was blessed to be the 200th bride & they gifted me my dress! I also got my veil from here & will be returning for the baskets they put together as well! Love love love this boutique & the women who make it all a dream, I cannot recommend them enough.
It was my first time trying on wedding dresses ever and I was super nervous! I had no clue really how to feel or what anything was going to look like and my stylist Madie was very supportive and understanding of my clueless indecisive ways. Virginia's Daughter Boutique was heaven sent! This was an amazing experience even before I set foot into the store. I ran late because of construction causing terrible traffic and they were beyond understanding. When I arrived, they had my name on the outside sign welcoming me to my appointment. Alison was quick to put me at ease as I apologized several times for my tardiness. She told me to take a breath, I was there, and we were going to have a fun time and not be rushed. She showed me and my sister to our couch and there were two glasses of water for us. Alison had already picked out the dresses I marked as my favorites online. They had an amazing selection of dresses and no shortage of plus size dresses to chose from. When I tried on my third dress, I felt my skin warming up and had that "this is it" feeling. Virginia and Alison put me in a tiara and veil and when I responded that I was saying yes to the dress, I was enveloped in flower petals, cheers of celebration, and received a glass of champagne for me and my sister. As they completed my order on the computer, they allowed me to stay in the dress to walk around, sit down, and enjoy feeling like a bride. I walked out with a small goodie bag and a new glow about me that I had just found the dress of my dreams in such a wonderful experience.

Our experience at VDBB was oh so wonderful. Allison and Nila were so very gracious, professional and exceptionally welcoming to my daughter, her bridesmaids, and myself. They even accepted our corny humor and stories with a smile. The bonus was that my daughter was their 200th customer and was rewarded wonderfully!!! I highly recommend this establishment!!!
I had such a wonderful time and they made it so fun, relaxing, and memorable to find my perfect dress. Madie was extremely helpful in showing me all the different styles and how they would really fit on me because I am quite petite. I am so glad I went there and would recommend it to every bride!

I gave this bridal boutique a 2 star rating because I wasn’t able to give it a 2.5. When you first come in, it is so welcoming. I really thought this place was gonna be the one I was gonna say yes to the dress. However, it was not. The selection was very slim. While they are “size inclusive” they are actually only size inclusive on a section of dresses. I’m a mid-size bride. I can range from 10-14, depending on the dress but I wasn’t able to try on 6 dresses. I felt so ashamed and embarrassed because of that. At one point I almost got up and left but I took a deep breathe thanks to my bridal party. I thought it should be standard to have the same dress in 2 different sizes.

We are so sorry you did not find what you were looking for at our shop. We try very hard to have a variety of sample gowns that are inclusive of all body shapes and sizes. We have very few brides that fit exactly into the dress they say yes to....
For future brides reading this review we want to make sure they know we have a VERY inclusive size run. At the moment we have these samples on hand in sizes
Size 8 and below- 5 dresses
Size 10- 19 dresses
Size 12- 22 dresses
Size 14- 18 dresses
Size 16- 10 dresses
Size 18- 9 dresses
Size 20 and up - 14 dresses
Within these sizes we have 33 Aline gowns, 23 Ballgowns, 21 sheath gowns, and 20 mermaid/fit and flare. VARIETY IS THERE! Plus we would be ordering your correct size regardless of how the sample fits!
Lea, you were very specific about what you wanted, "long sleeve and off the shoulder, with a removable skirt." While we don't have a dress that is exactly that, you were able to try on as many other options as you'd liked. Also, new gowns arrive every month!! Please keep an eye on our Lookbook to see if we can hit closer to the mark!
I reached out to Allison regarding a particular gown I wanted to try on. She was so incredibly accommodating and was able to get me in last minute! The shop is gorgeous, and I just fell in love with the dress! I am so grateful for Allison and her team, and will recommend this shop to all of my friends who are on the hunt for their wedding dress.
Seriously the best bridal boutique! Even before I walked in they had a little sign outside with my name on it welcoming me in! They accommodated my party of 5 with no problem and let us go shopping! Their store is so cute and they are so nice!! I found my dream dress and it came in under budget!! I am a plus size bride and there was a good selection for me to try on. They even brought out champagne after I said yes to the dress so we could make a toast. They covered all the little details to make my dress buying experience so magical and made me feel so special.
I went here not intending on getting a dress that day because it was my first day shopping and I wasn’t sure what I wanted yet. Well, I was wrong. I ended up leaving purchasing the most perfect dress and it was such an amazing experience. The staff was so helpful and they really made me feel so beautiful. Suffolk needed this boutique. So happy to see them in the area. I went with my mom and sister and we had the best experience. I tried on so many dresses but went with my first dress I tried on. And my stylist Allison picked it out for me before I even came. When I SAID YES TO THE DRESS we all celebrated with mimosas!
VA's Daughter was a 10/10! I am a plus size bride and they had so many plus size dresses to pick from. I scheduled my appt in advanced for a Sunday and we were the only part in the boutique so it was quaint and very personal. I absolutely love my dress!
I visited four bridal studios during my search and Virginia's Daughter was hands down the friendliest and best experience. My mom and I got to meet Virginia, her daughter Allison, and my stylist Nai-lah. Wedding dress shopping can be cliche, but these ladies made us feel like we were life long friends! I had such an amazing experience at Virginia's Daughter. Nai'lah was so sweet and patient with me. Nai'lah and the owner, Allison, really helped me narrow down my choices and "say yes to the dress" ! My mom and I had the whole boutique to ourselves, which I really loved. I had 1 on 1 attention during my appointment and with every step I felt very comfortable. I would highly recommend any bride to go here if you are in the 757 area and want a wonderful bridal experience !
