Walking into the finished space was such a dream, I honestly can’t believe how perfectly it all came together & I truly didn’t have to lift a single finger on the day-of to make it happen. From start to finish, Cassie was the reason our day ran so smoothly. There were behind-the-scenes organizational changes in the lead-up with the venue (Cassie actually became the owner—insane credit to her for managing all of that), but she never let us feel that stress. She was flexible, calm, and completely focused on making us feel like our wedding was THE event of the year. She handled hiccups I didn’t even know about until after the fact, kept us on schedule despite our DJ making unexpected changes, and made sure I didn’t have to think about a single logistical detail, she literally said the night before “you are NOT setting anything up on your wedding day,” & I didn’t! For a type-A bride who struggles to relax, that peace of mind was priceless. She had our backs every second of the day (even turning the A/C up when I said I was hot), and she genuinely wanted us to just enjoy ourselves. My mom literally invited her to Thanksgiving because we loved her so much. Special shoutout to the venue manager, Taylor Shank, who was equally amazing. Taylor handled tear-down entirely, organized everything for easy pick-up the next day (a godsend when you’re sore from dancing), and even saved me a tray of vegetarian lasagna when I was too distracted by the day to eat it during dinner. Taylor was extremely accommodating, handled all of the random questions from me/my bridal party/our families like a pro, and did everything possible to make the day as easy/calm/fun as possible. The venue itself is gorgeous. With a ceremony space right on the water, a perfect indoor/outdoor reception layout, excellent parking, and a location that made it easy to slip away for photos at the Toledo Museum of Art. The food and drinks were fantastic. But what really makes City View Event Center exceptional is Cassie. She’s the reason I was able to truly be present on my wedding day, and I will be forever grateful for her. So excited for the future of City View being in Cassie's hands now, would absolutely recommend to anyone & everyone who wants the most peaceful, magical, gorgeous big day.

e Snider (aka Brooke Schmidt) and TJ Snider had promised a refund due to all the mistakes (inedible food, incorrect timing, gnats, etc) and trouble that we had encountered throughout the day. Of course, the next morning they changed their tune and the bride and groom actually had to take City View to Small Claims court; they won, however, City View has yet to pay the settlement.
