We had our wedding here. The setting is nice but the service/management is diabolical. In the 6-7 months we interacted with them there were FOUR different event/restaurant managers and every single one was hard to reach and ill informed. The s...taff turnover here is very high and there is clearly conflict at every level of staffing, starting at the top, making the place a client nightmare. They ripped us off by over charging on pretty much everything (charged our credit card without authorization after our event), switched out drinks, agreed to and charged for premium bar then mysteriously ‘ran out' of premium after first half hour of event and served cheap brands to our guests instead. The rooms were dirty, poor quality, not cleaned. Our family and friends had traveled from all over the world, the hotel mucked up check ins, the service was poor, everyone that stayed there was unhappy with the way they were treated - not at all 'Sheratonesque'. The Sheraton executives should be concerned this place is associated with their brand. The hotel room booking director & event manager agreed to a pref rate on the rooms for our guests then over charged everyone...charged the wrong people for the wrong rooms etc. It took months afterwards and masses of phone calls and emails to try to sort out all the room booking mistakes (only about 60% were, we gave up after 3 months and sent guests money ourselves out of sheer embarrassment), their booking agents are beyond incompetent. I had to spend my entire wedding morning sorting out the hotel’s event mistakes (of many things that had already been previously clarified and confirmed). As an example (just one of many) I missed my nail, make up and hair appointments on my wedding day and was late to the church ceremony because all the seating was messed up and I had to go there myself to fix it. Despite the fact that every single detail to the last letter had been planned, confirmed, put in to writing and agreed to by all parties WEEKS before they still managed to muck up the seating, the timing of the event, the dj set up, the lighting etc etc. The manager in charge of the event didnt even show up till it started - he was not there prior to ensure smooth sailing and the junior assistant he had on scene instead had no idea what was going on or knew anything about the event. There was no one to assist in the decor set up for basics like making sure the plates were set nicely and the napkins put out at every seat - we had to do a lot of that ourselves, it was beyond stressful and upsetting. The event was meant to end at 1230am - the waiters started taking off table cloths and folding tables at 1145pm!! It was mortifying. They yes’d us to death throughout the booking process, assuring us the issues we were seeing were not going to be so on the day, but they simply couldn’t deliver. Finally after paying them an utter fortune over several months the owner had the audacity to tell us - on our wedding day - that the small amount (in comparison to how much we already paid them) we were withholding (because so many mistakes were being made and we wanted to see them rectified first) meant they were going to cancel our wedding - yes they said this to us on our wedding day a few hours before it was due to start!!! Seriously, the nice view isnt worth the stress and upset. BE WARNED
