Visual Image Photography

After getting little frames for our placecards, we decided to get a photo booth for our wedding. My sister, her boyfriend, and one of her friends all work for VIP doing school pictures, and had heard that they do, in fact, have one. They don't use it very often, so the price is really reasonable. Since we wanted pictures for the frames, they printed them out and cut them into 2x3 images rather than the strip, which was kind of fun. The staff was really nice and there was a line at the photo booth all night long--the guests really loved it. The one thing that got me was the way they handled the "extras". About a week before the wedding, they emailed asking if I wanted to rent props, order a guest book of photos, or a DVD of all the photos. I didn't, so I replied that. When my husband and I finally got to the photo booth near the end of the night (like I said, there was a line all night), we noticed an album of pictures and messages from our guests--they had made the guest book of photos anyway. We were a bit confused but didn't dwell on it. The next week I got an email, telling me about the book and how there were some really great pictures and messages from my friends and family and I can buy it for $50. That just seems so sneaky to me! I never would have imagined the book would be such a hit, so we are going to purchase it, but it just seemed like not the best business practice to have gone ahead with it and then basically hold messages from my wedding guests ransom. They also offered a DVD of all the images for $100...but I only paid $500 total for the booth. It just seems like a lot for the little "extras" but I guess that's how they make their money. I am going to purchase both of those extras, at the encouragement of my family, but I am a bit hesitant. i have emailed the lady back to see what I need to do to purchase them, and haven't heard back yet, so I'm a little concerned...

Bob was so friendly and open. He came at 10am and stayed until 10pm. He suggested pictures for us as well as took all of the pictures we wanted. It was a pleasure working with him and he was always willing to aid us in anyway. They are so technologically advanced. We have our pictures on CDs and inhard copy. Bob is wonderful. The cost outweighs all of the benefits. We received a signature board, a dvd and book of our engagement photos, a DVD set to music and all of our photos on a CD.

I used VIP for taking the pictures at my wedding two weeks ago. I haven't seen the photos yet but all I can say is that the photographers were extremely friendly and very professional.
