Meghan was AMAZING! Our original wedding plans were cancelled due to COVID and Meghan helped photograph our intimate destination wedding in Estes Park, Colorado, in August of 2020. Our wedding venue recommended her and we could not be happier with how our photos turned out. Prior to our wedding day, Meghan was communicative, patient, and empathetic (we were disappointed that our original plans fell through and not very excited about planning a wedding all over again). Since we did not know the area, she made recommendations on where to take photos after the wedding and made the options very easy for us! Day of, Meghan was so helpful and supportive. She arrived early and got right to work photographing us getting ready. She was a great coach both before and after the wedding, advising us where to stand and what to do. She captured all of our intimate moments before, during, and after the ceremony, and the family photos are unique and stunning. Finally, we did a long photo shoot at Lily Lake afterwards. My husband does not normally enjoy having photos taken of him, but Meghan’s direction and positive energy helped keep him excited and laughing (he actually had fun!). Meghan was able to capture our personalities in the photos, which is what makes them so amazing. She was also just a joy to be around, which made her a wonderful addition to our small wedding! We highly recommend using Meghan!

To be honest, choosing a wedding photographer was a little anxiety producing for me - my husband and I have never been very photogenic haha. That being said, since the first time I talked to Meghan she reassured me that she would capture those candid, emotive moments. She delivered on her promise and more. She was very efficient and easy to be around. At the end of our session, she felt like a friend and we were laughing and feeling full of joy. Looking at her photos I can relive my favorite day and I finally feel like I have a good picture with my partner! On another note, I have a very large and crazy family which she managed with ease in large group shots. I have nothing but the highest praises for Meghan!
Meghan has an eye for light and emotion. She took such beautiful pictures for our wedding. She knew the venue - Wild Basin Lodge - and worked well with the other folks working there. Absolutely worth it. Highly recommend her.
Meghan is an awesome wedding photographer! My now-husband and I were planning our Colorado wedding from out of state, and we wanted to do our engagement pictures with a potential wedding photographer when we were visiting for the tasting at our venue (Wild Basin Lodge). Meghan was able to book with us that weekend, and we requested a natural/mountainous setting but didn’t have a particular location in mind. She suggested Georgetown, which wound up being a gorgeous setting for our photos as well as a fun place to visit. Needless to say, we also booked her for our wedding in July, and again, she did a beautiful job. She is very familiar with Wild Basin, so she knew good places to take pictures, and even though much of the day was gray and rainy, she was able to get a bunch of wonderful pictures. If you are looking for a great wedding or engagement session photographer, Visual Poetry is a fantastic choice!
I'm not sure how I'm the first to review Meghan on the Knot, but I have to say she was absolutely PERFECT! She was clearly very experienced and well versed in wedding photography, and she also appeared to be very passionate about it. I truly appreciated her kindness, positive attitude and most of all her dedication to her work. She made every request I had possible and captured every moment perfectly. I absolutely would hire Meghan and her creativity if I had to do it all again!
