I'm (admittedly) a very Type A - controlling person; I love spreadsheets, color coding, lists, details, and having all the little ducks in a row. I also worked weddings for many years and have strong opinions about them and vendors. Knowing thi...s about myself, I needed vendors for our wedding that I could trust and let go with - people that would step up to the plate so that I didn't have to worry. We were also getting married in less than five months! So, the whirlwind engagement in the midst of a global pandemic made it that much more of a challenge to find exactly what I was looking for, but then I found Vital Image. I loved the idea of a one stop shop and I had a good feeling from the first interaction with Tasha. She was easy to talk to and organized but not trying to take over or sell us on anything that we didn't want or need. She listened to what my fiance and I wanted and came up with the best package for us.
As we got closer to our day, we video chatted with our lead photographer, Nicholas, and I went form not wanting to go into the wedding without having met our photographer in person or having an engagement shoot to being so at ease with him and knowing he would do a fantastic job of documenting our day and organizing our crazy families.
Once we spoke with our DJ, Rich, we hung up the phone and looked at each other to say, "wow - he is incredible". We went from thinking we could set up our own music and playlist to deciding to hire a DJ as part of our wedding package for convenience to speaking with him, and realizing how a good DJ is more than someone to hit play on songs and an asset to the wedding day. This was affirmed when we were a few weeks out and I had to confirm a few song versions, Rich called me up and talked me off the stress cliff I was standing on.
Sadly, just three days to the wedding, my immediate family was told they were exposed to COVID-19. We decided we had to postpone the wedding for the welfare of our guests. While making all those last minute calls and rearranging all our plans, Tasha jumped on the phone and with the support of her own family was trying to find us testing clinics and getting us through what we needed to do. Luckily tests did come back negative and it had already been 12 days since the exposure, so we could still do a small backyard wedding while waiting until next year for the big reception.
While we are waiting a year for the day with the Videographer, photographer and photographer assistant and DJ there, so we can't comment on how a traditional day is with the team - Nicholas did join us for a few hours during our backyard celebration and Tasha worked with us to postpone our day without any added stress. Nicholas helped make our little backyard wedding with just our immediate families feel like the real deal - a fairytale come true. We haven't even seen his photos yet but can say from the bottom of our hearts, he and the rest of the Vital Image team set the gold standard for wedding vendors.
If you're looking for a team that will truly have your back and make your dreams come true, Vital Image is the vendor for you - bar none.
