If you are a bride seeking wedding dress alterations DO NOT USE VIVIAN! She cut off the train of my 10,000 dollar wedding dress (I purchased it used for less), told me it was yell...
ow and to soak it in oxy clean. While I was in the open area in her shop, not yet zipped into my dress, she let a man into the shop. I am very modest and this made me extremely uncomfortable. When we were done with the dress she rolled it in a ball and stuffed it in the box. I was in tears when I got home.
I took my dress to someone else who I found through a personal recommendation. She was horrified that the train had been cut across, and now will need to be reshaped. She was horrified that it was suggested that the dress be put in oxy clean and water.
DO NOT USE VIVIAN! SHE WILL RUIN YOUR DRESS!

layers out of my dress and had to cut off quite a bit on the bottom, and instead of making her “best guess,” she had me in an extra time to make sure the length of the dress was exactly right, which I appreciated. The bustle she made was awesome and so easy for my mom and maid of honor to use, it was all numbered on the multiple layers and she took the time to think about our experience with the dress and not what was easiest for her. She did a wonderful job and I would definitely go back for any future events I need alterations for.

aving to take my dress from the shop and bring it to a dressmaker, but her work is perfection. I had a big ballgown with bolero, and she fitted it absolutely perfectly. I live in CT, and she always fit me in and was so great to work with. We loved every time we went, my mom even had her Mother of Bride dress tailored there! She makes you feel so comfortable and makes it SO easy! We have even used her since for other seamstress work, she is the BEST! Can't recommend her enough!

(which took a little under two months during high season) was entirely stress-free, and I felt more than comfortable leaving my gown and veil in Vivian’s very capable hands. In addition to the excellent work she completed on my dress (which was fairly complicated – she essentially had to deconstruct it and put it back together), Vivian also did some last-minute alterations and steaming for my out of town bridesmaids the day before the wedding.
