Amber was absolutely wonderful to work with. We were on a super short timeframe and she was able to accommodate all of our needs. All 7 of us felt beautiful!!

I'm the mother of the bride, and made the arrangements with Vixen. I had read some older reviews that worried me, but Amber was in our price range, had a reasonable minimum, and was willing to travel to do our hair and make-up. I did a trial of hair and make-up and tried to micromanage things a little. On the day of, all of Amber's suggestions (particularly about the make-up) were spot on. She was right about the type and weight of make-up. She did bridesmaids and bride, and after seeing her work, the mother of the groom asked to have her make-up done, and Amber was glad to oblige. We really all looked beautiful, and the hair and make-up lasted through the 100+ degree heat at the end of July and also through dancing until midnight. She was very nice, easy to work with, super calm (which helped us all!), and had her timing down to perfection. I really could not have been happier, and the remainder of the bridal party felt the same way.

Vixen was amazing to work with from the start. With only 4 months to plan a wedding, it was an easy process to book with Vixen & Amber was very helpful and responsive. I originally booked hair & makeup appointments for a trial and wedding day. I had someone else booked for my engagement photos, who canceled on me 2 days before. I contacted Amber and within 20 minutes, she had found an artist on her team with availability. Fast forward to the trial & wedding - Amber and her team did a fantastic job. So professional, kind, and helped make the day so magical. They listened to our requests and also made helpful suggestions when we were a bit unsure of what we wanted. Her & Tammy did hair and makeup for me +4 other ladies in about 3 hours. I highly recommend Vixen to any brides looking for quality service & beautiful styles!

Amber was wonderful and did my wedding hair and make up as well as my bridesmaids. She really tailored to my face and hair features. Made my hooded eyes look big and full! I truly felt gorgeous!

The BEST hair/makeup team a bride could ask for! Kelsie rocked it out on hair and Brittany absolutely killed it with makeup. These two ladies were so much fun and exceeded our expectations. I cannot recommended Vixen enough!! I typically do not like getting my makeup done because it doesn’t look or feel like “me”. But I absolutely LOVED my makeup. My bridesmaids hair and makeup also looked beautiful. If you’re looking to have someone do makeup and or hair, you will not regret booking Vixen! I can’t say enough wonderful things about them!

Amber is very talented and professional. She made me feel the most beautiful I've ever felt in my life. She brought her whole setup to our hotel room and was able to provide makeup services to me and my entire wedding party in a very reasonable amount of time. On top of all that she is just genuinely nice and sitting there having her work on you is just pleasant all around.

Vixen Make Up and Hair team is the best. Before I booked them, i did my research. Their IG stand out to me because it have all the real / no filter / and authentic image , and review. Second, their requirement for minimum booking fit with my budget. I met Amber at the Open House at Lost Mission Venue and felt so right to choose Vixen Team for my big day. They send me a detail schedule, and showed up early for their time to make sure I have plenty of time to finish. They made me the Bride, my mother and mother in law, and all the bridemaids become princess, and the most beautiful girl in the whole world. It make my day and give me so much confidence. I got so much compliments during the reception. What make me happy the most is that my hair and make up turn out even better than the Pinterest i gave them. What else could I ask for? They made the process so fun, and you feel like a price getting ready to see her prince the whole time. I wish I could give them more than just 5 stars. We had Kelcie come out and do my bridesmaids hair and my hair and makeup, she did amazing! Not only was the hair and makeup good, she is so sweet! Definitely would use them again!

Using Vixen for my wedding day hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party was the best decision ever. They came to the house we were getting ready at and got all of our hair and makeup done so efficiently and beautifully it was amazing. Vixen HAMU was amazing! The stylist did an amazing job. She was patient, and kind, and kept everyone calm. My 4 1/2 year old was THRILLED to learn that she too was getting her hair done. She wanted to have makeup done too, but she's under age by 2 1/2 years, but was still excited to find out that my best girl friend was ready to do her eyes (eye shadow) and lips (tinted chapstick) and had had her nails done by her Aunt. It was a lovely day for all and we could not have been happier! Recommend 100%.

I own a wedding venue, so I get to work with a lot of different hair and makeup teams, and although we love a lot of them, Vixen is our favorite! When it came time for my wedding, I knew I had to have them for our glam team! They are able to create incredible looks for each individual, and nailed the natural look I was going for. Amber and her team were so wonderful and professional and I would 10/10 recommend them for any and all Brides looking for an incredible hair and makeup team!!

Amber and Lauren were part of a wedding I was in last year, which is why I decided to book them for my own wedding this past weekend. Vixen is one of the most affordable options out there, and you are not giving up any quality either! Lauren arrived at the venue on time and promptly got started on time. We were provided with a schedule before the day of so we know how many people needed to get their hair and makeup done- and we even miscounted and had to squeeze in a few extras! Lauren made the day go by without any hiccups and made us all look and feel FABULOUS!

Amber was absolutely so fun to have be my makeup artist for my special day but also AMAZING makeup skills! She meshed so well with my bridesmaids and family and I was so impressed that she was able to do all 7 of our makeup and 3 of our hair by herself! I’m not one to wear a ton of makeup but she was able to listen and put on makeup that was natural and complimented me perfectly. All of my girls loved her makeup work also. Her doing hair was also the same story, no disappointment there, it looked stunning and I can’t thank her more for making feel gorgeous on my special day!

Vixen Onsite Hair and Makeup went above and beyond our expectations from our trial appointments to the day of the wedding. My daughter, the bride, was so excited and happy about her makeup and hair. We immediately felt comfortable with the Vixen team. They were kind and accommodating to our schedule changes and even when two bridesmaids who had only reserved times for their makeup decided at the last minute that they wanted their hair styled as well. In addition to the bride, all of the bridesmaids were thrilled with their various hairstyles and makeup. The bride and bridesmaids all looked so elegant and beautiful. We received many compliments and inquiries about their stylists. We couldn't have been more pleased and grateful to the Vixen team.

Amber was such a pleasure to work with for so many reasons. During my trial, I had a very vague idea of what I wanted - I showed her a few Pinterest pictures and she was off to the races. By the time she was done, she had perfectly executed a vision that I couldn't even fully articulate. I still don't know how she did it, but it was perfect. She also beautifully incorporated custom hair pins that I had ordered from Etsy. She asked several questions during my trial to make sure I was comfortable with all the choices she was making. She appreciated my feedback and made minor changes on my wedding day based on what we thought after the trial. On the wedding day itself, she and her team made the ladies in our wedding party look absolutely gorgeous. Again - there is some magic in Amber for her hearing an idea and then immediately bringing it to life. I have already hired Vixen again for our post-COVID reception next year. Amber was also extremely friendly and responsive, and I can't wait to work with her again!

I absolutely loved Amber & Kelsey. They are the dream team of hair & makeup artists, and I have already recommended them to 3 friends planning their wedding. They went above and beyond- Amber sat on the floor for over 20 minutes and saved my dress from a coffee stain!! My hair was perfect and whimsical, and my makeup was dreamy and amazing. I had an idea of what I wanted but no specific pictures, and Amber & Kelsey knew exactly what to do. The bridesmaids & moms looked great as well. My mom had concerns about her hairstyle, and they spoke with her ahead of time & did an amazing job. They are so nice & fun. I seriously cannot recommend this duo enough. Do yourself a favor, and book them for yourself and your bridesmaids!!

Love love love Amber! She was so very patient with me (I'm super picky about hair and makeup) but she was flexible and never seemed annoyed by my many questions and requests. She always responded very promptly which is huge when trying to plan a wedding. Her and Lauren made me and my bridal party look absolutely stunning on our wedding day. Everyone complimented my look the entire night. I can't thank her enough for making me look and feel so beautiful. I cant wait to use her in the future for other special occasions! Highly recommend!

Amber and her team were amazing! My make up for my wedding was phenomenal, and I couldn’t have imagined it better! I got so many compliments on my hair and make up! I can’t even put into words how great Amber was. From the trial, to communication leading up to the wedding day, to the actual day, she was phenomenal through the whole thing. She absolutely nailed the look I was going for. She was also so extremely personable and relaxed which made things even better the day of. All of my girls looked amazing and I am still obsessing over my hair and makeup from the wedding. Her prices are reasonable and she does not charge a travel fee to come out to the venue within the city (some other MUAs charge $100 travel fee to drive 5 miles). Seriously I can’t say enough about Amber, she’s amazing. You will not regret booking her for your wedding!!

Unfortunately, if there was one thing that made me disappointed on my wedding day, it was the hair and makeup services. I had read all the reviews about Amber and that was the reason why I booked Vixen. I was in communication with Amber via email regarding scheduling as well. However, she did not show up on the wedding day and failed to mention that to me. I had one hair artist and two makeup artists from this company. Absolutely zero complains about the hair services (Renee I believe). She was great! She put in an effort to talk to each and every one of us during the service and did an amazing job. One of the makeup artists did a great job on my girls as well. All the girls she worked on looked great! However, the other makeup artist had an attitude that wasn't so appropriate for a happy wedding day. She is the one who did my (bride) makeup. I wasn't happy with my eye makeup because my lower lid liner was too thick and made my eyes look small. She fixed it but didn't look happy about it. About my lipstick, I told her I didn't want anything pink or shiny. The first coat she put on me was pink. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, she added another coat to take away the pink but made it extremely thick and shiny. The end solution was for me to apply my own lipstick, as suggested by the makeup artist. I'm just happy that I had that lipstick with me. She also did my aunt's makeup. My aunt felt like her eyes appeared more sunken than usual and asked her to fix it, but unfortunately she did receive some negativity as well. She personally told me "her eyes are sunken and there's not much I can do about it". My aunt ended up fixing her own eye makeup and it looked much better. All of the makeup detail aside, there was a moment she just threw a makeup cape/apron on top of my bridesmaids bouquets that were on the floor close to her station and I had to tell her to remove it. All of this was just a sign of inattention to the fact that THIS DAY is the most important and happiest day of the bride's life. You gotta show up with a smile and be open to criticism and do your best to make the client happy. Walking down the aisle is stressful, so be sure to go with someone who can help you relax the moments before you tie the knot. My best advice: do a trial and make sure you connect with the artist.

Amber was the best! I love that she comes to your venue and the girls can all hang and not worry about going to appointments elsewhere. She is very talented at hair and makeup! I had never done airbrush makeup or fake lashes, so this was a first. All the bridesmaids beforehand raved about the fact that I hired an airbrush artist. We all pretty much sprung for a natural look and I can attest that all my girls looked beautiful but still looked like themselves (I've had friends share past horror stories at other weddings where their fiance couldn't recognize them with their makeup). After getting their makeup done by Amber the girls and the moms were all extremely happy and so was I. Everyone had an updo except me, but we all left saying wow this looks just like the pinterest photo! She was organized, came on time, easy to pay on venmo, and finished a little early. Highly recommend Amber!

Amber and her team were so amazing to work with!! I had a very large bridal party and they were super quick and efficient, making sure all my girls were ready for photos when we needed to be! I am so thankful I went with Vixen and would recommend them to any future brides looking for BOTH hair and makeup!! Amazing work!

I couldn’t have chosen better .. not only the make up and hair where perfect but as a bride we all go through last minutes drama stress etc .. Amber arrived and was not only able to make me calm down but made us all laugh and actually have lots of fun !!! I would recommend her without any doubt as a person and as a professional.. I had an amazing experience with Vixen Onsite Hair & Makeup. They did my hair & makeup for my bridal portraits and my wedding and wow, it looked phenomenal. On wedding day, they did 8 people total, including a young flower girl, and they were fast, professional, and everyone looked beautiful. It says a lot on their skill when each and every person brought a different inspiration picture and at the end, we all looked like our pictures! We all looked beautiful and I would 100% recommend anyone needing beauty services for their wedding day to hire them!

Worst vendor EVER! I was super excited when I hired Amber for my wedding day but 90 days before the wedding things didn't go so well. She didn't response to emails and didn't even contact me knowing wedding day was getting closer to schedule/discuss trial day or wedding day details. I finally decided to call her 60 days before wedding day and she didn't pick up but did return my call that same day. We scheduled a trial date right then during that phone call but two weeks later I emailed to reschedule since I had something come up. But never received a email to reschedule the trail, I waited two weeks and still no response back from Amber. So I decided to email one last time but still no response back. With no communication on her part either through email, phone call, or text message I had enough of it and decided to hire another vendor. The week of my wedding I received an email from Amber in the most nonchalant way asking if I still needed her for my wedding on the weekend. Of course I told her no due to the lack of communication/interest from her. No bride needs to be stressed out during one of the most important days of their lives, so please do not hire Amber. But if you decide to do so, I hope she doesn't pull the same S***.

AGGGG! I cannot say enough about Amber. She was so so sweet and very attentive to little details which is so important on your big day. I didn't have time for a trial but you couldn't even tell, in fact a couple friends/family asked if we did a trial because it was that good. She asked about every detail of makeup- did I like it? Did I want a bolder look? ETC. She was absolutely amazing and the hairstyle she gave me, no matter how much I sweat or how much I danced, the hair looked perfect and makeup lasted all night. I mean I was a sweaty bride but the way she did my contour and highlight- it gave off a dewy look that everyone loved. I know a couple girls had issues with their hair but Amber wasn't the stylist so no complaints from this bride. I would recommend Amber to everyone!

Amber is such a talented hair stylist! She's also very personable. The months leading up to our wedding, she was extremely responsive (and patient) every time I reached out to her with an idea. I must have changed hairstyles at least 3 times, but Amber really understood the importance of finding the perfect hair for such a special day. Being from out of town, I also appreciated how she worked with my weekend-only schedule for a trial session. The day of the wedding couldn't have gone smoother with her and Lauren (makeup) managing 9 ladies. Amber and Lauren showed up on time and were efficient while providing quality service. Because of their help, all of us stayed on schedule for pictures and the ceremony (3pm). Most importantly, I was blown away by my wedding hair! I ultimately decided on something entirely different from the trial session and Amber improvised to make it even better than the inspiration picture I showed her. She's also really fun to talk to and helped take away my wedding stress that morning. Look no further than hiring Vixen Onsite Hair and Makeup for your wedding day glam!

Amber was awesome! She is so fast and knows exactly what to do. She was able to do so many varieties of hairstyles that all my bridesmaids looked so pretty! My hair and makeup were stunning as well. I would reccomend her to anyone for your wedding.

Amber and her partner did an amazing job with my bridal party's hair and makeup! They both matched the hairstyle to the picture I showed them for my bridesmaids. I was truly impressed! They were prompt, friendly, and super sweet to work with! I had initially met Amber at her home for my makeup trial and knew instantly that I chose the right hair and makeup vendor. She has a lot of years of experience and it definitely shows. I highly recommend her!!!

My wedding day would have been perfect if Amber would have actually been the one to show up to do hair and make up. After booking with Vixen I started to learn more about how she double books weddings and contracts out other hair and makeup artists. After she personally did my bridals and confirmed she would be the one doing my hair and makeup on my wedding day I didn't worry too much about it, but I should have. The MORNING OF my wedding she informs me two other girls will be coming to do hair and make up. Not only did she contract my wedding out, she sent UNLICENSED girls. On top of all of this, my bridesmaids hair looked horrible and nothing like the pictures we had talked about. Three girls had to get their hair redone several times. My hair style called for extensions and the stylist Amber sent admitted to not working with extensions and didn't have much experience with them. My hair looked nothing like what I wanted. This also lead into the time meant for pictures. Many of the pictures we were hoping to get never happened because hair and makeup ran hours late. Leading up to the wedding and my trial with Amber it was nearly impossible to get ahold of her. It took almost a week to hear back before my trial and bridals that I almost started looking for another stylist. I messaged on the Knot, Facebook, Texts and calls and it still took almost a week. All in all I had a very unprofessional experience with Amber. My hair and makeup was one thing that I was so excited about. Getting ready on your wedding day should be fun and exciting with your girls. It was the worst part of my day. I do not recommend Vixen because you never know who is actually going to show up on your wedding day. That should not happen to someone on one of the biggest day of their lives.

I could not say enough to tell you how fantastic Kelsie and everyone at vixen are. I had several makeup trials prior and each was a disaster! When I met Kelsie she put my stress at ease. Not only did my hair and makeup turn out exactly as planned but EACH of my bridesmaids looked flawless!

Amber from Vixen hair and makeup knows what she's doing! Setting up details and trials were easy. Day of they showed up and had girls in and out for hair and make up in no time and it was all done so well! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because one of our bridesmaids had to get her hair fixed after they left and my hair started to fall out a few hours in. Other than that, everyone looked great and makeup stayed all night.

Amber did such a fantastic job on myself and all the girls for both hair and makeup. She always has a positive attitude and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. We had an early ceremony (11am) and she gladly accommodated the early morning (since we had 11 ladies!) as well as touch ups later in the afternoon.

They were absolutely amazing from make up trial to wedding day. This group of girls is the sweetest and most professional you will find. We had 8 girls getting hair and make up done on wedding day and Kelsie made sure we were all ready to go in time for pictures and everyone was happy with their look.

Amber and her team were amazing!! We were running on a pretty tight schedule the day of my wedding because we were trying to fit in some pictures before the ceremony and they were able to get all 9 of my bridesmaids hair and makeup, my mom's hair, my flower girls hair, and my hair and makeup done well before we needed to take pictures! We all looked beautiful and the hair held and the makeup lasted all night long! Amber even turned around to come back when some of my bridesmaids realized they forgot to get their tattoos covered up.

Amber is the absolute best to work with. I live out of town and just booked her based of reviews. I was not let down. She is the sweetest, most talented person I have ever worked with. I showed her a few pictures and told her what I was looking for and it was even better than what I have imagined. Day of could not have gone smoother, even when I threw an extra girl onto the schedule. Amber was awesome with my little girl! She put just enough makeup on her to make her feel special without making her look too grown up. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup and both lasted all night. Even with all my dancing, running around and tears everything stayed in place. Next time I am in the area for an event, Amber will be my first call.
