Valerie is a wonderful person and talented photographer. We hired her for our engagement photo shoot and wedding photos. My husband and I are terrible at taking pictures so we were nervous about the engagement session but Valerie was so good and giving us direction and capturing us in our best light! Her communication was always great; before and during the wedding. Even though I continued to freak out on the day of she was such a wonderful calming presence that I cannot thank her enough. Our friends, family, and wedding guests also found her to be a wonderful presence. I cannot thank her enough for capturing such wonderful moments with our friends and family on our special day. I would recommend Valerie in a heartbeat to anyone who needs a wedding photographer!

Both my wife and I are so grateful that we chose Valerie and her team to photograph and video our special day. In addition to being a talented photographer, Valerie had the perfect personality on the day of, keeping us and our families nice and calm (its hard to take great photos when stressed!) and yet moved things along in an efficient manner. She was delightful to work prior to the wedding day, and was a thorough planner, making sure that all photos we had envisioned would happen on the day of. We are so happy to have worked with her, and will cherish our beautiful photos for the rest of our lives!

We met Valerie at a LGBT Wedding Expo and knew instantly that she was the one to photograph our engagement shoot and wedding ceremony/reception. The photos just came back, and we're so grateful to have a collection of both beautifully composed portraits and candid shots of the special day. Not only do we get to relive the things we did that day, we also get to see all the things we missed. I love the photos of my partner and I, but also the shots Valerie and her assistant got of our guests. I couldn't be happier. Valerie and her team were superstars. The vibe was contagious and energetic, the team was super creative in terms of photo concepts and positioning. There was great directive instructions as we did a few hours of photos for first look, getting ready, and family photos. They were able to capture all the wild aspects of our multicultural wedding. The editing is clean and also modern. Communication with Valerie was easy and seamless. I would love to use them for future occasions when it arises. VJBurgos Photography was one of our favorite vendors and they captured our day, the decor, and our guests beautifully.

She was very responsive and answered every question throughout the entire processes. Our engagement photoshoot was so much fun because of her great energy and was able to guide us perfectly on how to pose. My favorite part is she took so many pictures of guest reactions during the wedding which is something I didn’t even think of, which i love to to look back on. My family also had many complaints for her. 100% would recommend.

We wouldn’t have had it any other way! Selecting a photographer and videographer was an incredibly intimidating piece of the planning process. We had several other consultations before meeting Val; the world was saving the best for last! As a same sex couple, it was of most importance that the team we assembled was inclusive and experienced with LGBTQ+ weddings. We first met Val at a wedding expo and that’s where we fell in love! Her energy and easy-going demeaner made you feel comfortable from the get-go. Her focus was not on selling you a big expansive package but instead listening to your vision and creating something custom for our special day. Val crafted a photo/video package that fit our needs and budget perfectly! Part of the package was an engagement session; this was an incredibly valuable opportunity to build our relationship and get to know her style. She made us feel so relaxed and at ease; it felt like we were shotting with an old friend! The shots were stunning and of exceptional quality, but most importantly, she captured US! On our wedding day, Val and her team arrived on time and with a plan! They worked flawlessly with each other and the other vendors, keeping the us right on schedule yet never feeling rushed. Our nerves were through the roof, but Val and team constantly found ways make us laugh and loosen up. They were there to do their job but seemed genuinely happy to be part of our celebration, we felt that 100%! I am so grateful to have selected Val and her team; they shot beautiful, posed portraits but also captured all the life in candid moments. Weddings go by oh so fast, but we are glad we get to relive every memory through Val’s artistry! We are forever grateful!

Valerie is an artist. Her photography is spectacular. My wedding photos came out unbelievable. Valerie was prepared, knew exactly what we needed. Her knowledge of space and angles will really make your pictures stand out. She makes you feel at ease during your big day which is key during the most neve racking times. From our initial consultation we knew Valerie was the one. We did our engagement shoot which was amazing. During the engagement shoot she made 2 people who typically feel unphotogenic feel comfortable and look amazing in all the photos. There are two reasons why I will always recommend Valerie to people. 1. Her photos are amazing but 2. There’s something about her energy. There’s people in the world that make you feel at peace just by being in their presence. Valerie is one of them. Which helps out when you’re a bride that’s stressed on her wedding day and nearing a breakdown. Valerie dove right in and kept reassuring me every step of the way. Not to mention, my venue was very pushy in trying to get us out the way. Valerie holds her ground to get her shots. Knowing you have someone in your corner is so important to me. I can't think of anyone better to have done my photos. I found Valerie on a whim and from a list of maybe 5, her profile stood out to me the most and I fell in love with her work. I reached out to Valerie with an idea and hoping she was available. She made time in her free weekend to take my wedding photos. She was very receptive about our ideas for our engagement shoot and helped us take beautiful pictures at Coney Island. The whole process was forward and clear cut. Reaching out to her was easy and she would respond in a good time frame and that's not something I can say about my DJ unfortunately. She went above and beyond and what we have to show are beautiful memories that will last a lifetime and and we're just really grateful and speechless on how our pictures came out. Small tip for future couples, make sure to make a list of questions and things you want and don't want so that way you have clear vision of you expect. Be creative and don't feel afraid to think of the box. Valerie will find a way to get it done!

We are lucky to have had Valerie and her team do photography and videography for us at our wedding in April '22 in North Jersey. We found Valerie after looking through many photographers' work, and we were drawn to her style that captured elegance while still being fun and relaxed. After an initial consultation we were confident she'd do a great job for us. Valerie is an absolute pro. We had a prep call a few weeks before the date and she took it from there. On the day she and her team (a 2nd shooter and videographer) were very well organized and professional. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day, and she captured all the moments we wanted, plus more, and kept us on track without being overbearing or making us feel rushed or overwhelmed. I truly appreciate the calming, "WE got this!" presence she brought to the day, especially for me as a bride on a day where emotions can run wild. We loved loved loved Valerie! We we're stressed out about our reception and whether we were doing things in the right order. Valerie willingly stepped in and helped us figure out whats the best approach. She never once made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. Matter of fact she actually really helped us forget about everything that was planned and be able to enjoy the moment.
