We been going to sandpiper for 25years when it was originally club med. The place has always been outstanding time for family get together.. we they closed down 2020 now reopened 2024 but as Wyndham resorts. This place has huge potential ...
huge with renovation I see being built but unfortunately we went (8 rooms of family) during renovation. We knew it was under renovation but thought it would be same. It was not. Their team working really tried their best with limited resources. The effort I saw by the local team was top notch. I really believe TOP BRASS of this organization should of planned better when opening half !@@..

Everyone that we interacted with was so kind, happy and inviting. We arrived right after hurricane Milton and yes they do have a lot of things under construction but we had the best time. Our experience was so relaxing and wonderful. The food ...
at the buffet was all really good and the drinks were also great. The rooms were clean and very spacious. Obviously the outside looks a little dated but it's a work in progress. We can't wait to come back and experience everything they have to offer when they are finished. There are 2 pools open and one hot tub that was open by the adult pool. They had multiple bars open for drinks.

My now-husband and I stayed at the resort in the summer of 2023, when construction was underway but the resort was still open. Despite some things being closed and some construction areas, we had the best time ever, and actually wished we spent...
less time doing things outside the resort. We got engaged on our trip and the resort was the best place to celebrate. The main buffet was gooe, but the taco stand was the best, and every single bartender was happy, talkative, and kind. We even had one who refilled our drinks for us when we were getting low before we had to ask. We really, really hope to come back when the resort reopens. I can understand the issues with construction but the staff was all very kind, the food was good, plenty of activities, the pool was clean, the rooms were clean and one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. We had a great trip and would love to stay again.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price
I don’t typically write reviews after less-than-stellar experiences, as I try not to be “that person,” but I felt compelled to share this one.
While I understand this property may not operate lik...
e a traditional full-service hotel or luxury resort, the experience fell well below even modest expectations. The room I reserved looked significantly different from the promotional photos. I understand that marketing tends to enhance images, but the actual room was noticeably smaller and lacked the amenities advertised.
One of the most frustrating aspects was the lack of housekeeping. When I requested room cleaning, I was told, “We don’t do that,” and was directed to pick up a broom and mop from the front desk to clean it myself. They also refused to change the bedding, instructing me to collect clean sheets from the front desk and change them on my own. For nearly $1,400, I expected far better service than this.
Additionally, I witnessed unprofessional behavior from the guest services agent, who showed visible irritation when another guest attempted to pay in cash rather than with a card. That kind of attitude reflects poorly on the overall service culture of the resort.
Perhaps the management is content with the idea that people stay here simply for the beach access — but even great beachfront views can’t make up for poor service and unmet expectations. Overall, I would rate this experience a 2 out of 10. I cannot in good conscience recommend this resort to others. There are far better Airbnbs and hotels in the area that offer real value for your money.
For almost $1,400, this stay was absolutely not worth the cost. If you have children, it may be the perfect place for them as they seem to be very child friendly but if you want amenities, it’s not the place.

Worst experience ever 0/10 don’t recommend. We payed for our resort in advance when we made it didn’t get the room we payed for.we went to the beach and came back and there was roaches on our window and curtains.we scented a bad odor so we moved...
the dresser there was a dirty diaper from who knows how long it been there. We went up to the front desk to tell about the pest and we were told just to get spray. The tv also didn’t work or the internet.the refrigerator was not getting nothing cold the whole week.Dont get me wrong the water is always hot in shower and the ac blows cold.also after paying when we got there we had to pay more 100s of dollars just to get in and had to pay just to get a room earlier which still was the same day that it was reserved. We was so disappointed we left days early. At the end of the day I’m not tryna be a Karen or anything but money down the drain.
