Out of our entire wedding, Von Film Co was ultimately the best decision we made. We had our engagement shoot with a family member, so we did not meet Laura and Richard in person until our wedding day. Although this seems stressful, Laura had scheduled several calls with us before our wedding day to ease our minds on the day of. When we met them on our wedding day, I felt so comfortable and relaxed! Both of them coordinated the entire day perfectly and even told everyone how to pose, stand, etc. Laura even held my veil and dress multiple times so it wouldn't get dirty before the ceremony. They listened to our vision while also enhancing it. We are also high school sweethearts, and seeing how Laura and Richard work perfectly together warmed my heart! The day after the wedding we had over 100 previews and multiple videos posted on social media. We have now received all of our photos back, and we are beyond happy with them. We would not change a single thing. As my husband and I were looking through them, there were several pictures during the reception we didn't even know were being taken! That shows how well they both blended into our reception perfectly. We highly recommend Laura and Richard for your wedding day. Not only are they the best in the business, but they are kind, creative, and overall great people! Thank you again for creating memories that will help us remember our special day forever! Laura and Richard have been such a joy to work with throughout our wedding process. From our engagement photos to our wedding previews, I have been so obsessed with the results they have created so far. Laura was very professional and sweet to me and my husband during all of our photos, it made things very fun! Her and her husband were very efficient on our wedding day and I loved seeing them work together! It was seamless! The photos and videos have been beautiful and exactly what I envisioned when I look back on my wedding day. I couldn’t recommended Von Film enough!

Laura and Richard are so amazing!!! We used Von Film for our wedding in August 2023 at The Wilds in Bloomington. I loved their beautiful and natural photo style. Our engagement session was so fun and made for awesome save the dates. During the big day Laura and Richard were absolutely amazing. Their knowledge and prep work made for a super smooth experience. Chef’s kiss; bow down; any gesture that signifies respect because thank you is not enough. Laura and Richard did such an incredible job all day. Our families, our wedding party, our guests were all so comfortably with you and also enjoyed you being around. Some were chasing you in hopes to get a camera shot. You two were professional and funny. You matched the energy and kept everyone in line. Not only did you capture the highlight moments we asked for, you also added personal touches that brought those moments more life and enjoyment than we imagined. I truly cannot rave enough about Laura and Richard and their unbelievable skills as a wedding photographer/videographer duo or ever fully describe the true impact they had on mine and my husband's wedding day. They both work effortlessly to make sure not a single detail is missed! I provided lists to Laura of different photo/combinations and video messages we wanted from friends for our wedding day, but also understood the reality that life gets busy and it might not all happen. This was no issue with Laura and Richard, as they were so thorough and detailed that every single possible combination I imagined was accounted for and some. The best part was that because of the fun they bring, it didn't feel like we were miserable while taking photos, despite having that feeling at other weddings I've been involved with. As an example, during cocktail hour we realized we had a few more bridesmaids/groomsmen photo combinations we wanted that did not completed early in the day. Next thing I know Laura and Richard had the idea that we needed to make the fun and energy our friend group brings reflected in photos and we all are all of the sudden impromptu spraying champagne bottles and passing it around to drink, laughing uncontrollably with our friends, in what I would call one of the most truly unexpected wedding day highlights. They brought this same energy to our sunset photos and came up with some extra shots to make sure we would be happy with the final products. Their creativity is incredible! As another example, I also told Laura I was a little worried that my husband can have a bit of an issue keeping his eyes open in the sun and let's just say sometimes we aren't the happiest with the way photos of the two of us turn out. Laura was ready for the challenge. We received our photos back and my first words in my email to Laura were "OMG WOW!" We were in true disbelief. I have friends that have told me they have one or two photos of them and their husband or of their friend group they like on their wedding day. This team provides the exact opposite. We have dozens of photos from each individual moment of the day that we are truly obsessed with! My first words in seeing our pictures were, these are the most beautiful photos we could have ever imagined and we are beyond blown away with the way they captured everything so beautifully, down to the littlest moments of our wedding night. We bought the premium package so we could have Laura and Richard stay with us through the end of our wedding night and it was the best decision we've ever made. The details they manage to capture are truly astonishing and unmatched- from the bridal party flip cup entry competition, to the candid dance floor moments, sparkler send off, and pure smiles and joy- they make every moment come to life like I have never seen before. The video that was put together by Laura and Richard was also unbelievable. You could feel the joy radiating off of our faces and the ceremony video they put together was just as magical. The amount of content you get after the wedding day is also unmatched and was so unexpected. Laura and Richard were truly a dream team! They gave us the best memories of our special day and did it all so flawlessly with the biggest smiles on their faces! We will forever be grateful for choosing Von Film. if you are considering another option, don't. They are the best duo you could ever choose and I promise you it's worth it!!

Laura and Richard are the absolute best team we could dream of working with! After telling them our vision, they jumped on board and helped guide us along the way. They made planning easy and they communicated quickly. They were sooo delightful throughout the day! They made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and captured our day in a very pure and beautiful way. I used Von Film for their videography services for our wedding day. At first I was hesistant in getting a videographer but I knew if I didn't do it I would regret it after the wedding. After chatting with Laura and confirming them for our wedding day, I knew I made the best decision. Prior to our wedding, Laura made sure she knew our vision and what we were looking for. The day of both Laura and Richard were there the whole day to capture all details. Not only are they talented, they are also the sweetest people. Throughout the whole day, you would never know they were there. They were never in the way but were always in the right places at the right times. We got our 1 minute video not even 24 hours after our wedding ended and it is AMAZING!!!! It captures the vibes perfectly and I watch it ALL the time. I cannot wait to see our longer video. Highly highly highly recommend Von Film. If you are on the fence about getting a videographer, DO IT!

Laura and Richard are so great. When my husband and I initially got engaged I knew exactly who my photographer and videographer was going to be. Plus, it’s a package deal - how amazing is that!? I had been following Von Film on IG for about 2 years and fell in love with their style. I reached out to Laura right away for their availability and based our wedding date off of that. That’s how determined I was to work with them! When it came time for our engagement photos (first time ever meeting) the whole session just flowed. It was like we knew them for years. We were so comfortable posing for them I knew our wedding day would be just as smooth. The photos turned out great! I was so happy. Fast forward to our wedding day. They understood the assignment! The whole day went by so fast. As a bride, you try to take a look around and soak it all in but the day just goes by so quickly. Luckily, this team captured EVERYTHING. From us getting ready, to the little details shots, portraits, first look, the ceremony, family photos, the reception, you name it. Richard even broke out a drone! It was amazing. This team works so hard and it shows. Not even 24 hours after the wedding we had several preview photos and a video! I can’t even describe my excitement. I couldn’t wait to see the rest but it was enough to keep me content while they worked their magic on the rest of the content. The wait (and honestly it wasn’t even that long!) was worth it. I was so SO happy with our photos and video. They even mailed us a special box. Very sweet of them. I can’t say enough great things about this team. There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing Laura and Richard were on our wedding day! They are extremely talented individuals who capture the most important moments of your special day. They are each so detail-oriented, remembered everything we told them during our planning calls and produced such beautiful photos and videos that we will cherish forever. Side note that Laura also completely redid my hair for me after it fell out due to some sleet and wind! I really can’t thank them enough for being there for us in so many ways on our wedding day. Laura & Richard are amazing!! I have known Laura from being in the wedding industry for several years, so when I got engaged I knew immediately that she would be at the top of my photographer list. We even ended up picking our wedding date based on her availability. Working with VonFilm for initial meetings, our engagement session, site visits, and the wedding was so fun! They are up for anything (including trespassing/hiking through the woods to a secret photo spot for engagement pics!), pay attention to so many details, and are so creative. We just got our full gallery and video, and I can't stop looking at everything! The wedding was at my parents' house where I grew up, and VonFilm added so many extra personal touches in the video - a shot of my parents' wedding picture from the mantel, the gift my dad made for my mom on their 26th anniversary. VonFilm puts so much thought into everything they do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Laura & Richard to anyone!

If I could give them more stars I would. A great couple to work with from day one. Laura put us at ease during our engagement session and essentially "trained" us so that we knew how to pose and were comfortable kissing for extremely long times for photos, lol. She was so organized and helpful with figuring out the timeline for the day. She and Ricky were a fantastic presence on the wedding day. Professional, flexible, personable. They treated everyone like family and friends and completely melded into the party. So flexible with us altering the timeline (showing up late, having a surprise of two puppies as part of our couples photos, sunset photos, sparklers photos). They even got a short film and preview photos to us in less than a week from the wedding and I think I watched it a thousand times. I highly recommend them and recommend doing both photography and video. Absolutely beautiful people and product. ((and for a VERY reasonable price))

I found Von Film through a recommendation from a friend. Von Film checked off everything on my list. When it came to picking our engagement/wedding photographer I knew the style that I wanted - Laura NAILED every photo. I also I wanted videography && the fact Von Film offers both was a second plus. Their pricing is icing on the cake! Laura & Ricky were both so easy to work with & captured everything perfectly. I have gotten so many compliments on our photos & our wedding video has been a hit with our family & friends. I also love that I have found someone who I can trust to do future photo sessions with, i.e. maternity, family, etc. Another plus (which I find to be very important) is Laura has great communication skills & is prompt with answering emails/texts/calls :)

It’s been almost a year since our wedding and I am still amazed every time I look at our photos and video!!! Laura and Ricky are truly a one-of-a-kind duo. They have timeless style and an eye for how to capture special moments so perfectly. We planned our wedding at the height of all the covid mess, and Laura was constantly staying in touch and helping me plan the perfect day throughout all the chaos and changing plans. We were seriously in the best of hands. When I think about our wedding, even now my favorite memory was taking sunset photos. Laura and Ricky made it so fun and even taught my husband and I how to do the classic “dip” pose lol. Every photo they took looks like it could be on the front page of a magazine! I would recommend Von Film a million times over and only wished I lived closer so they could keep capturing all of life’s special occassions for us!

I could never say enough about Laura and Ricky. From the very first phone call with Laura, it felt like I was talking to a friend. She was so kind and enthusiastic, and it was so clear how much she genuinely cares about her clients. She was very thorough and detailed in everything that needed to be coordinated, and she touched base regularly. Neither my husband nor I are very comfortable in front of cameras, but our engagement photos were a breeze and so much fun; she is the ultimate hype-woman and made us feel so at ease. On the day of the wedding, Laura and Ricky were so professional and so personable. They made sure to touch base with us to make sure they got all the shots we wanted, and they were so creative with the poses and photo locations. They coordinated pictures seamlessly to ensure my husband and I didn't see each other before the ceremony. Everything went so smoothly! Our photos and wedding video turned out better than I could have imagined. They were so beautiful and I still look at them all the time all these months later. While all of that was amazing, I was far more blown away with the amount of care and love that they put into shooting our day. They made us feel special and beautiful and important, and they listened so well and spoke so kindly. We expected wonderful photography and videography, but we got so much more than that. They made our day even more beautiful, and I am so so grateful that they were there.

Laura and Ricky did the photography and videography for our wedding last September. During the first phone meeting Laura asked great questions getting to know us as a couple and gauge exactly what we wanted out of our photos/video. We trusted them to capture our day and when the day came they exceeded our already high expectations. They are very professional but so fun to work with and were a pleasure to have alongside us for our big day. The photos and video are beautiful and we couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of their work. Lastly their prices were so reasonable for the time and quality of their work... we did a lot of research for photographers and videographers and hit the jackpot when we came across these two. I could not be happier with our decision to use Laura and Ricky as our engagement and wedding photographer! They were so professional but also made us feel very comfortable and made everything seem so easy. My husband and I knew we were in good hands working with them. We brought our dog to our engagement photo session and when she wasn't getting her photo taken with us, Ricky was playing with her and distracting her with treats while Laura shot some photos of us. Needless to say, our dog loved them too! :) They captured amazing moments on our wedding day from still photos, video, and audio that we will cherish forever. From snippets of my dad's speech to capturing some of my twin sister's song performance, I cried like a baby the first time we watched our video, it was absolutely perfect. They did a phenomenal job. We can say with the utmost confidence that Laura and Ricky are, hands down, the best decision we made for our wedding, besides marrying each other! There are truly not enough kind words to say about them. Fun, friendly and energetic, and true professionals at every level. Their photos and portfolio speak for themselves; not only are they excellent in their craft of photography/videography, they are great people as well; the best all the way around. For two people who were admittedly nervous and awkward for the engagement photos, the Von Telthorsts made the session not only fun but feel extremely comfortable as well. By the time the wedding day rolled around, they felt like old friends, fitting naturally into our close-knit wedding party. With us not knowing the specifics of what we were looking for, they brought the direction and creativity we needed. They took the initiative to move furniture and find the best lighting and scenes among countless other things; they really did everything they could capture the true essence of what makes us, us. They went above and beyond in every way possible; helping with outfit choices for the engagement photos, doing the bride's make-up for the big day, and offering much needed advice in the planning process. Laura and Ricky were an amazing addition for the most important event in our lives so far. We cannot thank them enough for all the gorgeous memories we'll have to look back on forever! We’d choose the Von Telthorsts a million times over, if possible, but we'll just have to settle for having them shoot our siblings wedding this year. Where to even begin! Laura made this entire experience so special. I was originally drawn to her aesthetic, but as soon as we met I knew she was my photographer. I wouldn’t say I typically enjoy being in front of the camera but she made me feel so beautiful and our photos look natural! I have received soooo many compliments about our wedding photos! Her and her husband traveled all the way to Florida for our wedding and I am so thankful! It’s amazing that they do photography and videography. Definitely takes the stress off trying to connect with two different vendors. We are so grateful to Laura and Richard!!

Honestly, I don’t know where to begin! I heard about Laura through a few close friends of mine- one getting engagement/ wedding photos & the other getting family / new born photos. I first meet Laura at my friends wedding and instantly got great vibes and knew she was the one I wanted to capture my engagement photos/wedding day! I was amazed with her work and the lengths both her and her husband went through to literally capture EVERY moment. Laura and her husband arrived on site early around 10-11 am and didn’t leave until ~9 pm. Not only did they capture every thing I wanted plus more, but they made sure I had everything I needed and didn’t overheat. Laura and Richard are amazing!! 🙌🏼 They were the photographers at my friends wedding. When I seen their photos I knew I HAD to have Laura and Richard for my wedding! I scheduled my whole wedding around their availability because I knew they would not disappoint! And they did not! Every single picture Laura took was absolutely beautiful! She is so great about picking the perfect spot for the perfect picture with great lighting! And Richards video skills were awesome! Every time I watch our wedding video I cry because they did such a great job at capturing the most amazing moments! Also they are so kind and fun to work with!! My cousin has booked them for her up coming wedding and I have had 2 other friends that were in my wedding say when they get married they will definitely be using them as their photographers! If you want amazing photos and videos of your wedding day that you can look back on forever to remember all the great moments and memories then I highly recommend Laura Von Photography!!! 💜📷

Laura and Ricky are the absolute best!! Our wedding day would not have been the same without them. They captured everything so beautifully from the start to the end of the day. Some of my favorite pictures are with friends on the dance floor that I didn’t even realize they captured! To top it off they are two of the sweetest people ever!!! I would highly recommend them!! You literally can’t go wrong with these two!! :)

Could not have been happier with our experience working with Laura! On top of doing an amazing job with our photos and video, Laura was always easy to get in touch with and quick to respond to any questions throughout the planning process. She was very thorough in taking note of the moments that were most important to capture for my husband and I, and she truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was covered! On a day that can be stressful for many brides, it was such a relief to be working with her!

We absolutely loved working with Laura! Communication was always timely, and she was very flexible with rescheduling our engagement shoot (multiple times) until the weather was right. We were also able to give our input and make requests along with her well-informed guidance. On our actual wedding day, Laura and her husband captured all that we had hoped for and more, and they allowed us both to experience and remember our special day without any extra worry or regret on our part. Laura and Ricky are the absolute best duo you could ever ask for when it comes to photography & videography. They are so laid back and easy going, it's very easy to transfer a business transaction to an actual friendship with these two. Ricky's vintage cinematic videography style is unlike any other we've seen & it's the cherry on top to Laura's extremely talented photography skills. From our engagement photos in Colorado to our wedding day in Indianapolis, every moment felt natural and relaxing through Laura's guidance. There was never any stress or worries being in front of the camera, and Laura + Ricky made it easy to be in the moment and our pictures are proof of that. Our photos and video turned out to be above and beyond what we expected - it's been almost 3 months since our wedding and we're still obsessing over them! We've gotten so many compliments on our photos/video, too. It was absolutely incredible working with these two and it would be anyone's biggest wedding planning regret not choosing Laura & Ricky to capture their special day. Thank you guys so so much!!

There is no one better than Laura and her husband Richard! From our engagement session to the actual wedding, Laura went above and beyond. She is truly one a kind and her photos are a work of art. She and Richard were very professional yet down to earth and so easy to work with. My husband and I, along with our bridal party had the most wonderful time taking photos and being silly and participating in all the fun and beautiful shots/poses Laura threw our way. If you are looking for a photographer, Laura is the way to go!

You could not ask for a better photographer than Laura and her husband Richard for videography. Her photos are so beautiful, ethereal, and they are true art. Laura photographed our wedding and also our engagement photos. She had a package option that included an engagement photo shoot, and I really loved doing this with her because it let us get to know her and feel comfortable around her. She did such an amazing job at making two very awkward people look amazing. Laura was warm, kind, and really seemed to care about us and making sure everything looked perfect. At one point, when I noticed a snag in my veil, she let me know she could easily edit it and distracted me and I completely forgot about it. She was also very willing to try some new ideas for photos that I saw, letting me know which ones would be do-able and which weren’t. She had some preview photos for us just a few days after the wedding and everyone has complimented us so much. Ricky did a preview video for us just the next day, and it is so beautiful, everyone cried while watching it!! I love every photo Laura sent us and I can’t wait for her take photos of our family and life events in the future!

Laura and her husband, Richard, were the most wonderful photographers we could have chosen to capture our elopement in Yosemite National Park, California. My husband and I opted for a "true elopement" so the selection of our photographer was very important because the photos were how we chose to announce to everyone (including our parents) that we got married. Communication was great - we didn't have an opportunity to meet them until the day before we got married, but we had many phone, text, and e-mail communications throughout the months leading up to our wedding. We had a chance to discuss ideas and had clear expectations and an agenda on our wedding day. She was very professional and easy to work with. When we did meet Laura and Richard, it felt like we were catching up with old friends. They were our only guests (Laura actually signed our marriage license as the witness) so it was incredible to feel so comfortable and at ease with them as we ran through a national park on our wedding day! Laura and Richard were married at Yosemite so they were able to give us many helpful hints and vendor suggestions. They both had such an eye for nature and capturing the beautiful scenery while still showing us as the focal point in the photos. Not only are the photos incredibly artistic, but I am so impressed by how she captured so many facets of our personalities and relationship. We have pictures that show every side of who my husband and I are as a couple - romantic, funny, adventurous, passionate, goofy... they truly have a gift of understanding people and showing it in their work. Laura and Richard work so well as a couple too, they were frequently bouncing ideas off each other and working together to come up with ideas on how to make our photos spectacular. One thing we also enjoyed was that we were able to still explore on our own and add our own ideas to our photo collection. If you're considering them to capture your wedding day, look no further. We are so thrilled with our decision and would recommend Laura without hesitation. We are so grateful we found her to capture our elopement!

She and her husband were absolutely incredible. Very responsive and accessible. They made us feel at ease which was not an easy task. Her work is absolutely stunning. They even found a way to get creative with our wedding photos when I fell 3 weeks before my wedding and had a cast, a facial scar, and a black eye. You can’t even tell in the photos. There are not enough nice things to say about them. They went above and beyond in every way and made our day special. They turned ordinary us into a fairytale of photos.

Laura and her husband Ricky were so awesome! Laura was so responsive and helpful leading up to the wedding day. Laura and Ricky were both fun and professional the entire day making my husband and I, and all of our friends and family, feel so comfortable! My parents and the wedding party raved about how awesome they were! The photos turned out amazing and I can't stop looking at them! Additionally, Laura also did my makeup for my engagement photos and wedding day. It looked perfect and was long lasting. I cannot say enough good things about Laura and her husband. They are an amazing duo. I found Laura here on The Knot and was instantly obsessed with the photos. Once I reached out to Laura I was even more obsessed. She is wonderful to work with and so sweet! My husband and I are not the most outgoing or photogenic people and they were able to capture so much personality and so many amazing moments! Our photos turned out AMAZING!!! I’ve spent our first two months of marriage trying to come up with a way to encapsulate every praise we have for Laura & Ricky into one little review. So, here goes. These two are the most genuine, attentive, loving, & talented humans you could possibly have document your perfect day. The entire process with them—from the first contact, to the engagement sessions, to the planning & preparing for the wedding day, & the wedding day itself—was amazingly perfect. Laura and her husband were absolutely FANTASTIC to work with! She took our engagement and wedding photos. From the time we met her, she made us feel so comfortable and at ease, and we had the greatest time taking our photos with her. If you are in search of a photographer, do not hesitate - book her! Laura and her husband were an absolute dream to work with!! Laura was the first vendor I picked and booked when I got engaged, because I knew right away that there was no one else I trusted to capture my wedding day than her. It was the best decision I could've made!! Every form of communication, from emails, texting and phone calls, was a breeze and Laura always made sure to get back with me and answer my bazillion questions quickly! My husband and I had never had professional photos taken before, so we were a little nervous and awkward before the engagement photoshoot, but we shouldn't have been! Laura had us laughing and loosened up within no time, and when it came time for the real wedding photos, having that comfort and familiarity already established was a lifesaver! Our photos from our wedding day are STUNNING and everyone who has seen them has complimented them! They are beyond what I even imagined in terms of beauty and the style that I love. Laura's husband was our videographer as well, and the moments that he captured turned into a stunning and tear-jerking video! While searching for photographers for my wedding I had reached out to many photographers and two that did not have my original date open recommended Laura. I am SO happy they did. I cannot even express the gratitude I have for her and Richard. They were amazing to work with. She listened to how we wanted our story to be told. Neither of us were very comfortable in front a camera but she helped us get out of our shells and really captured “us”. She is very professional and personable. We had an unexpected issue with our venue and had to change our wedding date. Laura worked with us to find a new date that worked for her and the venue within the hour even though it was late. Every single person that was either a part of our photos or have seen our photos have all said “wow” and have complimented them. I will be using her for all the future photos. One of my bridesmaids is now using her for her wedding this upcoming year and I can’t wait to work with her again as I am a bridesmaid. I HIGHLY recommend.

I can't recommend Laura and her husband highly enough!! As an out of state bride, it was easy to book her and discuss everything over the phone. She was very organized and inspired confidence. She did an excellent job placing and positioning us for the best angle (we needed that!) I love that they each have their own unique style of photography -- you get a really dynamic view of your big day! The photos are timeless, romantic, and everything we wanted. BOOK HER!

If I could leave more stars I would! I by chance found Laura on theknot.com and she and her husband were the BEST thing in my wedding planning! Laura was very accommodating, answered all of my questions, understood my frustrations and exceeded my expectations. Every picture from our engagement and wedding is a piece of art that I could gaze at all day! First meeting Laura she was like a friend I've always had and we just picked up where we left off. Ricky was so fun and easy to work with as well and captured the most beautiful moments on video from our wedding and I'm just in love with everything they did. After our wedding they had become friends to us and that is one of the best parts. I recommend Laura and Ricky to every person I know getting married and I recommend them to anyone reading this. Laura was amazing to work with. She has photographed our whole process of marriage. First our engagement photos and lastly our wedding. She has such a beautiful eye and is very creative in her approach. Her husband also produced a video of our wedding which will bring tears to your eye. All and all I would highly recommend Laura to photograph anything in your life.
