Elaine was wonderful! We bought a pack of 4 classes before our wedding and we had so much fun making monthly dance lessons a date night. Elaine worked with us and made us feel so comfortable with our song, the steps, and timing! Thank you so much!
We took the intro dance lesson with Ursula and enjoyed it so much that we took one additional dance lesson to get a few more moves down before our wedding. We didn't want to have a super choreographed dance but wanted to feel confident and comfortable for our first dance and Ursula helped us accomplish that. We perfected our aisle dip & kiss, our intro walk in, and our intro transitioning to our first dance. I'm so glad we were able to squeeze these two lessons in before our wedding!
I cannot recommend Ursula with Vow To Dance more! I am a terrible dancer and she made the entire experience so much fun for our first dance at our wedding.
My fiancé looked forward to our lessons every time. We originally were going to do one lesson and loved it so much we did the package of 4. Everyone was very impressed with our new found skills!
Ursula is so talented and such a fun loving spirit. I cannot recommend her more.
Excellent instructor, great training, fun date, fantastic relationship building. Thank you!!
My husband and I had the most incredible time doing lessons with Jerry prior to our wedding. Before the first lesson, Mark and I really didn't know what to expect; however, Jerry immediately put us both at ease. We learned so much and had so much fun doing it! Four lessons were perfect prior to our big day for us to feel comfortable and ready. We definitely plan to continue taking dance lessons after our experience here!
We took 2 private lessons for our wedding first dance and would highly recommend! Jerry was a joy to work with and helped us nail some basic steps, turns, a dip, and a lift which we were very proud of!
Jerry was amazing to work with! We wanted to do something more than just sway. Jerry helped us with the box step, but with spins and a dip at the end (all on our own timing; nothing choreographed). We booked the 4 session pack, and we’re glad we did!
We couldn’t be more thankful for Jerry. My fiancé was not a dancer but now, he’s an absolute natural. Turned a shy guy into the dancing gentleman I always knew he was. I also took lessons with my dad, he loved it so much, him and my stepmom still go. Thank you, Jerry, for all your help!
We took 7 lessons with Jerry, and had the best time! We learned the foxtrot, merengue, bachata, and salsa - and we felt so confident dancing at our wedding!
My husband and I took 3 lessons with Jerry for our first dance at our wedding in July, and I can't recommend taking lessons enough!! We didn't have a lot of dance experience other than the normal shuffle at other weddings that we attended, and after the 3 lessons, we felt comfortable performing a fox trot in front of 200 people. Jerry was professional, funny, and a wonderful instructor. We look forward to continuing dance lessons in the future! Catherine and Clayton Luttrell
My now husband and I took four lessons with Jerry who was absolutely fantastic. Rather than choreographing a dance, he taught us steps and moves that allowed us to dance beautifully without worrying about timing and being right. We practiced with our song "From the Ground Up" and ended up with a beautiful country waltz. Jerry was very patient and made us feel at ease. Jerry was fantastic with cues and explaining dance steps to two non dancers. He even made sure to explain that our big dip at the end should be angled towards the camera and held for a few seconds to get the perfect photo.
I was surprised by how much fun my husband had given how shy and reserved he usually is. Now, he loves dancing and showing off the moves we learned at every wedding and event we go to. I will always look back on our four lessons as some of the funnest times in the weeks leading up to our wedding. I highly recommend a private lesson with Jerry.
Ursula is such a great instructor. She is patient, helpful, and kind. She is clearly such a talented dancer, yet she made us feel so comfortable to learn ballroom dance for the first time. She prepared us well! We got comments from our guests that we looked natural in our first dance, which is honestly the best compliment we could wish for.
We found Vow to Dance online as we needed some dance lessons before our upcoming wedding, (both my and my fiance were greatly beginners in the dancing world). Jerry made us feel so comfortable and started with the basics, then branched into more of a choreographed dance. He was very patient and taught us steps and spins in a way we could remember. He made it fun for us and I would HIGHLY recommend coming here for dance lessons!! It was a blast and Jerry was awesome!!!
We initially signed up for a one hour session with Ursula to not look completely lost during our first dance as neither of us had any previous dance experience. We learned so much during that lesson that we decided to go back for 3 additional lessons to try to look more confident and graceful. Ursula made the lessons fun and helped us choreograph our first dance to the song we had chosen. We are so thankful to Ursula for helping make our night special.
We had Kat as an instructor, and she was great! She’s very encouraging and does an excellent job of teaching moves to novice dancers. My husband always hated dancing before, but he ended up enjoying classes and is looking forward to learning different styles in the future. Plus, our dance was a really fun moment of our wedding night! Thanks Kat!
My husband I bought the silver wedding dance package and started our lessons about 4 months before the wedding. We don't have left feet but at the same time neither of us had any experience with formal dancing.
We were both nervous but it was something I had always wanted to do so it was a priority for me during wedding planning. Even so, we were both surprised by just how much we enjoyed it. Our instructors, Kat and Ursula, made learning the steps easy and they accommodated our different learning styles.
Because they didn't teach us a choreographed "routine" and instead gave us a bunch of different moves that we could combine spontaneously however we like, the things we learned at Vow to Dance will serve us well for years to come.
We will be back soon to take more classes!
My husband and I had 4 private lessons with Kathy before our wedding day. She was extremely patient with us both, working to ensure that we were comfortable on our wedding day. She taught us a variety of steps & combos that went with our wedding song so we felt comfortable without looking overly rehearsed. I was a little concerned my husband would hate dance lessons, but he was pleasantly surprised. Each hour went by quickly and even though we were both nervous on our wedding day (we hate being the center of attention) we couldn't have done it without Kathy. Thanks for all your help!
My fiancé and I had a private group lesson with Kathy in order to include my finance's family. It was great they were able to accommodate us as a small group with 2 private lessons lasting 2 hours each (essentially 4 lessons total). Kathy was great in instructing us, and knew exactly how to correct us. She was fun, and understood our desire to learn, but also have a good time. We had a good handling of our first dance, as well as the mother-son dance. We had a little time in the end of our lesson, so she was able to teach us a little merengue and salsa. Best of all, they're located in Lower Greenville, and you can always find something delicious to eat before or after your dance lessons.
My husband and I worked with Jerry for 6 lessons (I also took one with my dad). Jerry was so helpful and a great instructor- he had my husband, whose dancing experience was limited to say the least, comfortable with dancing with me after the first lesson! Our first dance went flawlessly, and our dancing together was complimented the entire night. Thank you, Vow to Dance!!
We had Kathy as a dance instructor and she was fantastic! Patient, sweet, and incredibly helpful. She taught us new skills each class, which helped us build our confidence, and the outcome was a stylish but simple dance so that we felt comfortable in front of everyone. Vow to Dance was also more affordable than the other dance studios in Dallas. I highly recommend them, especially if you are new(ish) to dancing like we were.
Jerry was a great instructor - he was able to create an awesome dance for our nontraditional first dance song. It was so nice to go out on the stage on our wedding day and not be nervous to dance in front of so many people. We were able to go through the movements Jerry taught us with ease and have an awesome conversation the entire time. We would recommend Vow to Dance to any of our friends looking for dance lessons!
Jerry was great. We got a ton of compliments on our dance. He was also so good at coaching us on details like where our audience would be and how to look relaxed and when to pose for just a moment so the photographers could get pictures.
My husband and I initially signed up for the group wedding dance class. We ultimately swapped our month-long series for one private lesson. Within an hour, we had our entire first dance choreographed and perfected. Neither of us are particularly coordinated, so learning the fox trot that quickly was quite impressive. We had a blast!
My finance lives in Europe and so we had a limited number of times he was in the country. We had once chance to practice for our dance. They made that hour perfect. And despite how nervous we both were that one hour gave us a perfect dance too!! Can't not recommend enough.
Our instructor taught my husband, my father, and myself how to do the Foxtrot in one 2-hour lesson. We learned enough to not completely embarrass ourselves and also have a good time with it. It was the perfect amount of instruction for us, and we were all glad that we had had the lesson!
I was stressed about dance lessons but it was one of the best things we did to enjoy a busy engagement! We learned a great fox trot for our first dance and we felt confident, had fun, and 'wowed' our guests! This was a great experience - fun and very useful and a good value!
They did a great job of starting with the basics and adding on. We had a lot of fun and plan on taking other classes there.
In just 2 lessons my husband, that had never danced before, was a pro. She made it not only easy, but also fun to learn to dance. Our first dance was beautiful becasue of them!
My husband is not a dancer, but he did this for me. We had 4 private lessons. Jesse came in not knowing much about dancing, but our instructor, Cathy, was so helpful and great at communicating with both of us. This was a fun thing for us leading up to the wedding. She helped us pick our song and made us into pros.
