Wade House Historic Site was awesome. Unfortunately, there were some issues with communication due to a change in event coordinators. We booked with the first event coordinator about a year before our wedding date, and were told what would be add ons and would be available for our date, however after the wedding we were told the first event coordinator should have told us the popcorn machine was broken and that was why it was never brought out. There was about 5-6 months without no communication until 2 months before the wedding when the new event coordinator, Hayley, started. Hayley was great to work with and made it seamless in a short 2 months to coordinate everything. We’re so glad we were able to have our ceremony in the bridal suite last minute due to the rain. It was a perfect intimate area to have the ceremony.

Absolutely love their wedding pavilion for both the ceremony and reception. A few of the signs to get to the wedding pavilion fell down due to the weather but the staff at the Wade House did a good job directing the guests to the correct location through the rain and windy conditions. Staff and bartenders did an excellent job and very organized and very accommodating

We had the best day having our wedding at The Wade House last weekend! Stephanie, the event coordinator, was so easy and wonderful to work with. She answered all the emails over the months of planning and helped make our wedding day so memorable. Our guests were all so complimentary of the venue and we couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else!

Perfect venue for our son’s wedding this past weekend! Beautiful setting in the woods that complimented their choice of natural decorations including different woods and grapevine. Stephanie was amazing to work with. She was always professional and promptly answered any questions we had! Gorgeous setting for outdoor pictures. Thank you for a perfect day.

We had a great experience at WHS. The building itself is beautiful inside and out (I may be a little biased, because I have loved this building since I first set foot in it as a pre-teen- it was an added bonus to learn that they recently started doing weddings here!). The event coordinator, Craig, is very knowledgeable and experienced, and went out of his way to help us with any detail he could. He was extremely responsive to emails and is willing to work with you to accomplish your wedding vision. We originally wanted to have the ceremony outside by the front columns, but it ended up being over 90 degrees out with insane humidity so we moved the ceremony inside. No problem- Craig made things work either way. It was great to have multiple options, bother indoor and outdoor, for ceremony and reception sites. Craig was always willing to offer his advice and knowledge which was a huge relief to us, given that we had never planned a wedding before! I cannot recommend the Wisconsin Historical Society enough.
