Historic Mansion for Unforgettable Celebrations
Located in Middletown, CT, Wadsworth Mansion is a historic wedding venue brimming with elegance. The team here is devoted to helping a couple achieve their vision with a sense of sophistication. Between the exquisite grounds and refined interiors, the mansion and property provide a memorable setting for wedding festivities.
Colonel Clarence S. Wadsworth was the original owner of Wadsworth Mansion. Construction began in 1900, three years after he married Katherine Fearing Hubbard. This country residence was constructed with the guidance of the Olmsted Brothers, a landscaping architectural firm. Concern for the environment was paramount, and the 500 acres were carefully manicured with this in mind. Starting from the mansion, the estate features a formal and traditional style that flows into forests and pastures. Known as Long Hill, this estate was a gathering point for the Hubbard and Wadsworth families for decades. In 1941, after the Colonel’s death, the estate was transformed into a park and the Rockfall Corporation to promote conservation. Afterward, it became the home of the Religious of Our Lady of the Cenacle, when the building was expanded and some of the acres were sold. Eventually purchased by a developer, the site fell into disrepair until being fully refurbished into its current state.
Wadsworth Mansion easily complements a variety of wedding themes, from classic galas to boho-chic celebrations. This stately home offers plenty of choices for outdoor ceremonies on the terrace or the tended grounds. Cocktail hours and receptions can also be held al fresco. Inside, the ballrooms, illuminated by chandeliers and with working fireplaces, create a welcoming retreat for the merriment. Only one event is held per day and there is enough room to accommodate up to 200 people. Dressing rooms, a catering kitchen, and onsite parking are among some of the convenient amenities available. Couples can choose their own caterer from the preferred vendor list, making it simple to customize their day’s dining experience.

The Wadsworth is a dream venue. The grounds and mansion are stunning and impeccably kept. You do NOT need a lot of decorations as it’s already so gorgeous. The ballrooms are beautiful, the terrace is a perfect place for dancing, the lawn with the hydrangea bushes are made for ceremonies, and the newly expanded bridal suite with the balcony for pictures and the bouquet toss just seal the deal. We worked with Rachel for coordinating the event and she was at our beck and call and was just so extraordinary. Could not have asked for a better person to work with. We had 127 guests and everyone fit so perfectly and comfortably. We want to relive our wedding night over and over because it really was all so amazing.
Would 1000% recommend! I love being a Wadsworth bride.

The Wadsworth Mansion was our absolute dream wedding venue. From the very first meeting with Jessica, we knew the place was going to be perfect for our wedding. Jessica answered all our questions on our first tour and was super welcoming. When the wedding planning began, Alexandra was the one to help me with all day of coordination. I truly could not ask for a better person to help us with our special day. She dealt with my constant emails about my unconventional seating arrangement ideas with total patience and grace. She made me feel like together we could make whatever I hoped for happen. Alexandra was also amazing the day of. She had the day going perfectly according to schedule and made sure my husband and I, and wedding party were taken care of at all times. What a wonderful venue! It's' absolutely beautiful inside and out. You also get assigned an event coordinator that helps run the day of timeline and coordinates with vendors. We had Rachel run the day of timeline and wow she was absolutely amazing. Our wedding was on the record rain storm in August. She helped move the ceremony inside and even mopped the dance floor outside for our first dance! Wadsworth has recommended vendor list and those vendors are outstanding! They also have an App to help manage your wedding. I couldn't recommend this venue enough, book it!

Working with Wadsworth, and specifically Rachel was the ideal experience. She was very responsive and open without being overbearing. She quickly and accurately answered every question we had and maintained a friendly demeanor from our first visit through our wedding day.
My husband Dominic and I were married at the mansion in May of 2024. Getting married at the Wadsworth Mansion was an absolute dream, I could not recommend it enough. The grounds are absolutely stunning and I love that most things are outsourced so you can really make it your own. I worked with Jess for booking the venue, and Alex for planning the day. She was so great providing our floor plan and working with our other vendors that day. She was so warm and welcoming and it was noticed by our guests as well. I loved getting married here and cannot get over how gorgeous everything really was. I cannot recommend the Wadsworth mansion for a wedding venue more.
My husband and I got married at this BEAUTIFUL, most romantic venue on June 14, 2024. It truly was a fairytale. From our first appointment seeing the venue to our wedding day, everything went so smoothly. We were lucky enough to work with Rachel as our coordinator, who we met at the initial site visit appointment we made. I can't say enough amazing things about her and the rest of the Wadsworth Mansion staff. Their venue is not only gorgeous, but their staff is extremely organized, friendly, and professional. They even allowed our dog, who is our baby, to be part of the ceremony!! I would get married here over and over again if I could!! We've already been back to experience one of their fun concerts on the back lawn. We hope to continue to keep coming back to Wadsworth Mansion as a part of our love story.
Weeks later, we're still absolutely gushing over the Mansion! It was the perfect venue for our wedding. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to luxurious facilities, not to mention the stunning views. We had the pleasure of working with Alexandra(Alex) we could not have asked for a better person! Alex knew all of our family members and bridal party’s names, and was extremely personable. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of all night. She brought me a snack before the ceremony and continuously brought me my water all day and night (without me asking)They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout your entire day and their top notch team(along with our caterer David Alan) ensured that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. In the early stages of planning we worked with Jessica Hess and she is extremely helpful and communicative. The mansion truly felt like home for the day. We hosted our ceremony on the vista , cocktail hour was on the terrace, and we had dinner in the East ballroom. Guests were in awe of the estate (we also lucked out with absolutely perfect weather), and how every detail was perfectly executed. Our special day was truly a dream and felt like it was out of a movie! We could not recommend the Wadsworth Mansion enough, and can't wait to return for future celebrations. It's definitely well-worth the investment and would 12/10 recommend it to host you’re your special day!

The PERFECT wedding venue! As soon as we pulled up the driveway, we knew this was the venue for us. The team at the mansion are professional, kind and helpful. We had Rachel for our day of coordinator and she was incredible! Throughout the entire planning process, the team at Wadsworth was communicative and supportive. They always answered any questions we had in a timely manner and they truly made our day run so smoothly. The venue is gorgeous and well maintained. You truly do not have to bring any additional decor if you don't want to because it is so beautiful. We were able to have our ceremony outside and the reception indoors. Our day truly felt like a fairytale and a huge part of that is because of the gorgeous Wadsworth Mansion as the setting. We cannot recommend them enough!

The Wadsworth was an absolute dream to get married at. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. The staff was so incredibly helpful right from the beginning and I could not have asked for a better experience. Alexandra was amazing and was so patient with us and our questions. She set up everything just as I had described and was quick to respond to any emails or calls. She was so fun to be around and got along so well with us and our family. The Wadsworth is the full package--a beautiful, historic venue with helpful staff who encouraged us to explore our vision. They offered support throughout the planning process, have a vast network of referrals and recommendations, and helped make day of coordination a dream. From the very first visit, we knew this venue was perfect for us. If you have any hesitation on the split dining rooms, we had 170 guests at our November 2023 wedding, and absolutely loved how intimate the rooms were, and it made dinner feel all the more special and intentional. We cannot recommend this venue enough!

Your search for the perfect New England wedding venue stops here, literally. The Wadsworth Mansion was the dreamiest most stunning wedding venue ever. Coming from NYC we wanted something out of the city with lots of beautiful land, but also a space with upscale elegance. My sister joked that we needed to find a "cozy mansion", which we didn't think existed until we came across The Wadsworth. The venue sits on 100 acres of beautiful wooded land, with a long winding tree-lined driveway that feels so regal. The decor is quite ornate, which means that you don't need to overdo the decor or florals, as the mansion really speaks for itself. That said, because the venue is essentially a blank slate, you can curate any dream vision with the right vendors. We hosted 99 guests plus ourselves which allowed us to perfectly fit in one ballroom for dinner, making it feel full and intimate while hosting the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing outside. The bridal suite and upstairs balcony, as well as the cool library bar, are also amazing features that should not go unnoticed.
As for the staff, we had the HONOR of working with Alexandra for our coordination, and I truly feel as if I were blessed by the gods. From the beginning, she was super communicative and worked with me to ensure every single detail was executed to perfection. Even when I had unique requests like hiring a champagne acrobat for the cocktail hour, she worked with the vendors and me to bring my vision to life. On the big day, she was there for everything we needed without us even having to ask. She nailed the coordination while bringing phenomenal energy and helping us all feel cool, calm, and collected. Not an easy task, but she is truly a pro.
We had guests traveling from 14 states and 4 countries and numerous people told us afterwards that it was the best and most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. I really believe that speaks volumes not only for Wadsworth but for the staff as well. We had the best night of our lives, and would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!!!!!

Everyone asked me why I was getting married in Connecticut (I’m from mass), and I couldn’t wait for them to see the reason why I chose this venue. Words cannot explain how amazing everything about the Wadsworth mansion is. From the drive way pulling up to the huge pillars and walking into the gorgeous foyer, to the wall of French doors leading to the patio and pine trees bordering the well kept lawn and so much more! Picturesque is an understatement. Because of the beautiful accents of the mansion, the details that you provide just make it even better! We had our wedding at Wadsworth Mansion and it was absolutely wonderful! None of it would have been possible without Alex and the rest of the Wadsworth team! When my husband and I first got engaged, he immediately suggested that we get married at Wadsworth Mansion. I had actually never been there and booked their last available summer weekend date sight unseen based on the glowing reviews I heard. Fast-forward to our first tour of the Mansion and it was so much more beautiful than I had imagined! Seriously, this place is magical. Coming up the long drive through the trees feels like entering another world. The building is gorgeous inside and out, every person we worked with was extremely helpful and nice, and the setup was perfect for an outdoor ceremony followed by indoor/outdoor reception for just under 100 people. My brother-in-law, who has been to about a million weddings, told us unprompted that this was his favorite wedding venue he’s ever been to.

The Wadsworth Mansion is the most magical place to get married! It truly is a hidden gem. I could not imagine myself getting married anywhere else. My husband and I were amazed by the venue when we initially toured, but experiencing our wedding there was even more breathtaking than we ever could have imagined. The staff was amazing to work with from start to finish. All of the vendors are very familiar with working with one another at the Wadsworth, which made planning less stressful for us. Everything is run seamlessly in the mansion. We are absolutely in love with the Wadsworth.

The wedding of our dreams was held at the Mansion in April of this year and it could not have been more perfect! As a more mature couple without a true vision of what we wanted, Megan was invaluable in helping us design the ideal evening. Without her, who know what we would have come up with! Every idea she had the caterer and florist were able to execute flawlessly. She was with us every step of the way all the way to when I walked down the aisle. And Alex, our event supervisor for the evening, took such incredible care of us...she even kept my phone for the entire night and made sure to take tons of photos for us! The Wadsworth Mansion was an absolute DREAM wedding venue. From the very beginning, Jessica and the other ladies of the Wadsworth staff were so helpful answering our questions and scheduling our first tour. This was the first wedding venue we looked at and I immediately knew I wanted to get married here. Communication was excellent leading up to the big day and our final walkthrough was so helpful and left me feeling reassured and relieved for the wedding day. Alex was our event coordinator and she was fantastic! Anything we wanted or needed Alex made it happen and was always super personable and friendly throughout the process. She ensured the day of ran smoothly and seamlessly adjusted our layout due to the unpredictable weather forecast. This venue was everything my husband and I could have imagined and more. We got married earlier this year on March 18, 2023 and we could not have picked a better venue or team to help us have the most perfect day. The mansion is gorgeous and was the most perfect backdrop for our wedding inside and out.
We booked this venue back in 2021 after my husband fell in love with it on our tour. Jessica Hess (director of events) made the planning process easy from day 1. She was always there to answer our many questions and meet our concerns head on, even going as far as to pull out a measure tape during one of our many tours to help us plan a display piece for our special day. Rachel Eisele (event manager) was invaluable as we got closer to our date, helping us nail down and place each detail we wanted. On the day of Rachel’s presence helped us focus on the fun instead of the planning.
We chose The Wadsworth Mansion for its indoor ceremony space as March weather is so unpredictable. It made our 110+ guest count seem small and intimate and the transition to the reception was flawless.
If we could do it all again (minus the stress) I would, just because of how wonderful our day was.

The Wadsworth Mansion was the perfect venue for our wedding!! When I got engaged, I knew immediately that I wanted to get married at the mansion and it didn’t disappoint. The venue is stunning, classic, and elegant, and the grounds are beautiful and it was the most amazing location for our special day! The mansion staff, specifically Jess and Catie, were so wonderful to work with from start to finish. They were professional, explained everything thoroughly, worked incredibly well with our wedding planner, and helped navigate the postponement of our wedding due to Covid. We had an extra large guest count and a large bridal party and they were incredibly helpful in accommodating our guests and helping to make our dreams a reality. I will say that the city (who owns the venue) needs to invest in an upgraded air conditioning unit as we were sweating buckets upstairs. I also think they need to power wash or paint the patio area. These are things outside of the staff and wedding service, so I'd just hope these comments are passed on to the city to be addressed since they own the property.

Catie was incredible from day one. She was always responsive via email, very helpful in the planning process, and kept everything running smoothly on the day of. She remembers every little detail and handles everything with ease!
The venue itself is so stunning and offers so many spaces you can use, from the rose garden to the ballrooms and beyond. It allows for your guests to stay interested and makes it so easy to keep your entire event at one location.

This was the perfect venue for our wedding. The grounds are maintained beautifully and there is a lot of indoor/outdoor space. Everyone we spoke to from the mansion was incredibly helpful, responsive and experienced in organizing gorgeous weddings - they've seen it all. We worked with Rachel and she was patient, proactive and did everything to make all of our ideas come to life while we enjoyed the event. We couldn't recommend this venue enough!

My husband and I got married at Wadsworth Mansion last month, and it was absolutely perfect. Catie was so helpful from start to finish. The venue was beautiful and the grounds we perfect. We really tried to make the most of the space and spread of various parts of the day. We were initially worried about the two separate dining rooms and hiring outside catering but it was not an issue at all. I would highly recommend Wadsworth for anyone looking for that fairytale wedding.

My fiancé and I had booked our wedding for May 2023 at the mansion with the envision of having our wedding on the back patio. When we booked in November 2021 we were told we could make that work with a guest count of 200 estimating we would get a guest count of 175-180. We made it clear that we wanted dining and our dance floor on the back patio. Jessica advised us they have had weddings of this size before and recommended tent companies that could accommodate this vision. One of the tent companies no longer services the Wadsworth due to restrictions of the mansion and the other that was recommended told us they would never quote a tent on the patio for more than 130 guests. We feel that we were mislead and with having a wedding in May it is necessary a tent be present as we can not control the weather. We decided to cancel our wedding which, was a hard decision to make, but after speaking with vendors Jessica had referred us to they made it clear we would not be able to carry out our vision. We provided them with ample amount of time and kindly asked for our deposit back being aware that we received documentation that under no circumstance shall the the reservation deposit be refunded, however, we feel that this circumstance was at no fault of ours as no tent was available to host our vision. Megan instructed us to write a letter to Joe, chair of the board, who stated the board of the mansion denied our request. I do not recommend hosting your wedding at this venue. The communication was extremely poor and very unprofessional.

We understand this clients frustration however, there were several conversations about logistics of planning a fully tented event. We always strive to be transparent with our clients when they begin their search for a venue and caution couples ...
that deciding to take the full event outdoors deviates from our standard rental structure. In this case, the company that was discussed originally no longer operated in our area, a decision that was made after their initial tour. Our contract does not guarantee accommodations outdoors as we can comfortably fit guests indoors. A clients choice to move their event outside of the Mansion is at their risk. We attempted to help the client find alternate options however, it became apparent the client booked the Mansion without considering the variables of their plans.
We disagree that our communication was poor or unprofessional. We invested hours of emails and conversations with this client to help them find solutions to their plans. There was never a question unanswered and while the outcome may have not been what they had hoped for, it's not for our lack of trying to help. Our contract clearly states that deposits are non-refundable. The client was well aware of that policy when booking the Mansion. We understand they felt they were entitled to it but we do not make exceptions to a contract solely because someone has changed their mind.
Having our wedding reception at the Wadsworth was one of the best decisions we made for our day. Everything was absolutely perfect! The staff was always communicative and helpful, and they were clearly experienced in running a smooth, organized event. My husband and I always felt like our needs were being met during the planning process and on the day. To top it off, the Mansion itself is stunning (and air conditioned!), and we had tons of compliments from our guests. We cannot thank them enough for everything!

100% the best venue, hands down. My husband and I fell in love with the venue the first time we visited and immediately booked the Wadsworth Mansion back in 2018 for a spring 2020 wedding. Long story short, we had to postpone 2 years until June 2022 and they made it so easy to do so! We had a small 65-person wedding and it was the perfect amount of people to use one of the ballrooms for the dinner reception. We used the other ballroom for our Chinese tea ceremony, had our wedding ceremony on the back lawn, and danced outside on the patio. Weddings at the Wadsworth are so customizable and every corner of this place is beautiful. In addition, the staff there is so helpful during the planning process; super responsive and helpful in giving tips and asking questions. The cherry on top is that they're dog friendly so we got to bring our pup with us to celebrate our day too!

The Wadsworth is not only breath taking, but so insanely helpful. Throughout the entire process the team was amazing. They were with us every step of the way and I can't thank them enough. Our guests were in awe of how beautiful the venue was. With such a gorgeous setting, you don't need to "dress it up" as much so that was awesome! Me and my now husband have spent some afternoons at the mansion prior to our wedding simply because it is just such a great spot.

I cannot recommend this breathtaking venue enough. I get chills thinking about our April 2021 wedding here, and though it was a tough year planning out wedding, we felt so supported by the kind and communicative Wadsworth Mansion staff. We worked primarily with Catie and after months of back and forth and planning it was such a relief and so exciting to see her running the show with our catering team behind the scenes on our wedding day. Seriously Catie, thank you so much. The grounds are so beautiful and we had our ceremony overlooking the green. Because CT had just opened up at the time for indoor events of a certain number, an elegant (and complimentary) tent was set up on the patio that we were able to use for our reception. Our guests remarked at how nice it was to have a separate area for dinner and dancing, and how fun it was to explore the inner Mansion rooms and the bar (which is a cool space) during cocktail hour and dancing.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at the Wadsworth Mansion. They were all so kind and helpful. Jessica was so patient and went above and beyond—truly amazing (both at the wedding and leading up to it). We had to reschedule due to Covid, and I was so hesitant about picking a new date (I am very Covid-cautious). I was the last of their 2020 brides to reschedule, and they were so accommodating and understanding. They answered all of my (numerous) questions, were helpful, accessible, sooo nice, and fun to work with. We went forward with a small wedding, and I am so happy we chose the Wadsworth Mansion. The venue is positively stunning (I fell in love with it instantly), and Jessica and the whole staff made everything so easy. They know their stuff and helped make sure our wedding not only went smoothly—but felt magical!

The Wadsworth Mansion created the dreamiest wedding we could have asked for . Our guest loved the luxurious feeling of dinning in a grandiose venue. It was decorated beautify for Christmas. The best of all was Rachel who was our coordinator for the day and year leading up to the big night. She was absolutely perfect -Kind, courteous, calm and collected. She did everything with in her power to make the wedding completely customized to our wishes. She also made great reccomedations for our other vendors. SO thankful for her!
Jessica and her team at the Wadsworth Mansion were amazing in every sense of the word! Planning a wedding in July 2021 came with a few planning obstacles and roadblocks due to covid, however we felt like we were in great hands from day one. Jessica was extremely responsive in all communications and made us feel informed and comfortable during the planning process. We were able to have about 80 guests indoors for dinner, and our ceremony and reception outdoors on the large back patio. Jessica was insightful, patient, and extremely knowledgeable when in came to planning our big day. From vendor recommendations to day of execution, we cannot recommend Wadsworth Mansion and Jessica enough! We wish we could relive our big day all over again – thank you!!
The mansion was a fantastic place for our wedding. The grounds are gorgeous and vast.
We wanted our wedding to be as covid-safe as possible, and so 90% of everything was done outside, with a tent in case of poor weather. The staff helped this happen in many ways, bringing a lot of furniture outside.
One more thing that made this venue stand out in the picking and planning process was how very prompt their communications were.
We went with one of their preferred caterers (Bourassa) who were also exceptional.
My husband and I fell in the love with the Wadsworth Mansion the second we took a tour! It was our only venue we saw. We knew we wanted it to be our venue in an instant. I cannot say enough good things about the Mansion, the people, the workers, it's just top to bottom the best all around venue we could ask for. Catie, Megan and Jess helped bring our wedding to life and we are forever grateful. They went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared for every single aspect, no question went unanswered. Our guests raved about the mansion especially the drive up to it. Elegant meets party vibes. The only drawback is the two ballrooms, couldn't fit everyone in one room for dinner but that's only 30-45 minutes anyways! Our photos came out perfect... I could go on and on about how great of a fit the mansion was for me and my husband.

The whole team was so easy to work with (even after we were forced to push our date out by a year due to Covid) and made sure our big day was effortless and nothing short of perfect. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the venue looked and how impressed they were with everything. More importantly, we truly felt that Jessica and the team were there to help and support us every step of the way, from answering our every question (whether it was related to the venue or not) to ensuring everything happened exactly how we wanted. It was truly all a dream come true and I couldn't imagine a more perfect place for a Connecticut wedding!!

I can’t even express how INCREDIBLE Wadsworth is. The drive in is picture-perfect, the mansion is glamorous, the grounds are stunning, and the staff is amazing! They even host wedding shows - such a fun and easy way to find vendors!
I got married on 7.1.2021 and had the pleasure of working with Catie. Catie Griffin is an absolute rockstar and was more than accommodating; she was so easy to work with and made wedding planning a breeze! She helped me finesse a wedding and all my contingency plans (within 6 months), and quickly addressed any issues or concerns with such grace and poise. Despite covid, rain and oppressive heat, she helped make my day so beautiful and special. Couldn’t have had such a perfect multicultural wedding without her!

We had our wedding at Wadsworth on July 9, a Friday evening. At first I was hesitant of having our wedding at the estate, due to how popular the venue is. There was not an ounce of hesitation after our first tour. The venue is absolutely INCREDIBLE! The team that works with you to make sure your day is going to go smoothly are all the best. We worked with Megan and Catie who were both wonderful! Catie was with us the whole time throughout the day making sure things stayed on schedule and worked with me in perfecting our floor plans and timeline, etc.

Selecting The Wadsworth as our wedding venue was the best decision we could have made, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. First, it served as the most stunning backdrop for our ceremony and photos. Second, the Wadsworth team that assisted us was so organized and willing to help that our stress was really kept to a minimum throughout our engagement, even with the uncertainties of Covid. We had a gorgeous wedding at The Wadsworth Mansion! The facility is beautiful and we also had a tent on the patio for cocktail hour and dancing to keep as much of the event outdoors as possible due to covid. Even though it rained later in the evening, it didn't interfere with the reception; everything ran smoothly. There are many beautiful places on the grounds for pictures between the gardens and the mansion itself. The staff was amazing, they made sure that everything ran smoothly and all the tables, etc. were set up exactly as I requested. Our guests loved the photo booth- it was an easy add-on provided by Wadsworth so we did not need to bring in an additional vendor. Their event manager, Catie, was very responsive to my many emails leading up to the big day, very helpful and quick to reply. Our original wedding was supposed to be in April 2020 at a different venue and we had to postpone three times due to covid. I finally started looking into places with outdoor options due to covid safety concerns, and we luckily booked Wadsworth about three months out as they had a cancellation- Jessica was a lifesaver! It worked out perfectly- I highly recommend the venue and staff!

The Wadsworth Mansion has always been my dream wedding venue. When my husband and I went for our site tour I was in awe as soon as we walked into the building, I knew we didn’t need to look any further. We were so excited when we booked the mansion. Jess and Megan were so helpful with keeping us updated on Covid guidelines and worked with our wedding planner to make our night unforgettable!
We decided to keep our wedding fully outside under the tent and it was absolutely stunning. The grounds, building and everything about the mansion is truly beautiful!! I found the Wadsworth Mansion in a magazine under venues in New England. We were going to be driving through CT so we figured why not? Being from New York- Born, raised and living in Brooklyn, we didn't know about this place or really anything about CT.
I left the initial site visit knowing "This is it". Jess was amazing and we decided this was the place for us.
Pre-Pandemic- The Wadsworth, made up of Jess and a team, were always helpful and accomodating. Jess answered all 10000 of my questions and were super knowledgable and supportive throughout the process. She came through will all great recommendations and was truly happy to see our dream coming to fruition.
Pandemic- During the stressful time of figuring out "postpone or to not postpone" the Wadsworth was nothing but understanding and compassionate. I mean, yes, you'd expect people to be understanding during a global pandemic, but they were supporting-- it never felt like business- but felt like family. The team at the Wadsworth were on top of all policies and regulations during the year and made sure to keep everyone posted.
They were super accommodating when we decided to pivot our original plan to a strictly outdoor, covid-safe plan. It is one thing to speak and give out ideas, it is another to feel truly heard-- Wadsworth did that.
In the end, Jess & the team helped make our wedding dreams come true. Because of all the (unexpected) time we had together, we grew to know the Wadsworth and not only respect and appreciate the wonderful staff, but see them as friends.

Get married here!!! This is hands down the most beautiful wedding venue you’re ever going to see, and the staff that you get the honor to work with couldn’t be any better! From beginning to end planning a wedding with the Wadsworth Mansion was as easy as it gets. Notice how I said, “plan a wedding WITH the Wadsworth?” That is because Catie, Megan, and Jess are by your side from the moment you tour the grounds to hugging you goodnight at the end of the reception. I’m talking kind, attentive, flexible, and FUN! They made themselves available for any questions, and went so far above and beyond to make sure we understood the ins and outs of weddings. We had seen pictures of the mansion on their website and said if we liked it in person as much as online, it was a done deal. We didn’t even make it halfway up the driveway before we decided it was where our forever needed to begin. We love the Wadsworth and hope to go back for many celebrations in the future.

We booked the Wadsworth after canceling our original wedding plans 2 months before the date.. From the very beginning Jessica was quick and accommodating - making planning a mini wedding in 2 months seamless. We had the pleasure of working with Catie the day of the wedding and I didn't even have to lift a finger - she had everything covered by the minute. My husband and I got married in Aug 21, 2020 at Wadsworth Mansion. This was mid COVID while the world was a guessing game. The staff at Wadsworth made this process as seamless as possible for us (Jessica, Catie, THANK YOU!). During a time of uncertainty, they really stepped up their game to answer any COVID questions on top of regular wedding planning. They were there every step of the way, extremely responsive, and creative in how to make our special day perfect. I highly recommend this venue not only for the GORGEOUS layout of an amazing mansion and beautiful (spacious) yard, but for the staff that really makes your day perfect. All of our guests were had a blast dancing out under the tent, and we had a beautiful day!

Wadsworth Mansion turned out to be the perfect venue during a pandemic. We never thought a year ago that we would be getting married during Covid, but we sure lucked out to have picked Wadsworth to do so. They made getting married during a pandemic safe for everyone with their spacious outdoor areas which allowed guests to social distance while still enjoying the event. Catie was very helpful being our day of coordinator and Jess was great at getting the ball rolling on booking the event and working out the details. Aside from that, the venue is beautiful and DOG FRIENDLY. I was able to bring my dog for the ceremony and have her with us while we were waiting in the bridal suit. I would definitely recommend this venue to those looking for a wedding venue. The grounds are gorgeous as well as the building itself. We were lucky to only have to change one thing to have a Covid wedding - moving dinner outside. They provided a beautiful tent to make sure our guests were covered from the elements and it coordinated in with the mansion so it blended in. You will have a beautiful wedding if you choose to get married at Wadsworth Mansion!

We couldn't speak highly enough of our venue, and the incredible staff that work at the Wadsworth. We knew the moment we walked in that this was the place for us to get married. They made our planning seamless and stress-free and when the pandemic hit, worked with us every step of the way to constantly reassess, eventually reschedule, and execute on our DREAM wedding in the midst of a pandemic. Not only are the grounds something out of a movie (so many wonderful places for pictures), but the staff goes above and beyond to ensure that you don't have to worry about anything leading up to or during the wedding. They even went to CVS mid-reception to get me eyelash glue to fix my makeup! We could go on and on, and couldn't imagine (and don't think we would have been able to have our 2020 wedding) if we had chosen anywhere else.
Megan, Jess, Catie and team are truly miracle workers and ensured that we were constantly communicated with. They paid attention to every detail that was important to us (and thought about the things we didn't even know to plan for or consider -- chocolate for the ring bearers to help them get to the end of the aisle, you name it, they did it). We truly felt they were invested in making our day exceed all of our expectations, and it did just that -- not to mention safely and responsibly according to all guidelines. The grounds are impeccable, and offer so many ways to make your wedding unique with how many beautiful locations make up the property.
We could not recommend the Wadsworth Mansion more, they are truly the best and feel like our friends at this point and made our wedding a dream come true.

Early October at the Wadsworth is absolutely gorgeous. The flowers are out and in full bloom, the sun is shining, the grounds are perfectly groomed, and there's the wide, sweeping lawn and the grove of trees that perfectly frame your outdoor wedding experience. All of this makes sense when you realize that the grounds were in large part designed by the Olmsted family, the same family that designed Central Park. Oh, and the forest around it was planted as a conservation effort, which gives you the warm fuzzies the more you think about it.
All that said, though, the best part of the experience was the staff. They worked hand-and-hand with our wedding planners to make the day perfect. They were kind and thoughtful and very charming. I could not recommend this venue more.

I had my wedding at Wadsworth mansion two months ago and when I looked back at it, there are only good things I can think about. Catie and Jessica are simply amazing.
We brought our own table centerpieces, flower arch and other decors for the hallway. We dropped them off the week before at the mansion and Catie was very accommodating. On the wedding day, I was tight on time before the ceremony and had to hide upstairs. Catie got everything right downstairs without me even explaining much to her how I want everything in place. She just picked up something from my random decor box and put them exactly where I wanted.
Our catering company David Alan was very professional and just eased my nerve that day. After the last guest left, all our stuffs were packed in the original boxes and ready to be loaded into the car! That was a hectic day but the wonderful stuffs just made everything so smooth and made sure we have fun as well. Highly highly recommend for the staffs, if you have not wowed by the beauty of the mansion.

We had the most magical wedding day at the mansion! It is absolutely beautiful there with indoor/outdoor options as to how you would like the ceremony and reception to take place. The grounds are impeccable as is the interior. Jessica and the staff are responsive, friendly and professional, leading up to and on the day of they make sure all ran smoothly without us having to worry about a thing. They even helped us bump up the time of our firework display because the weather was calling for rain! They were so on it, and helpful at every turn. I would recommend the venue without hesitation as well as their preferred vendors. By working with the preferred vendors, there was such a sense of teamwork among the venue, caterers and DJ. All went off without a hitch! We cannot imagine having gotten married anywhere else and would recommend the venue without hesitation!

My husband and I got married at The Wadsworth this past July. We toured the venue the DAY AFTER we got engaged, and we just knew it is where we would be married. Jessica was absolutely incredible with assisting in planning & communication leading up until our wedding day. I felt at ease and super confident working with her, and that is incredibly important when planning the biggest day of your life! Catie was also fantastic as our day of coordinator. She kept things flowing during our wedding and was great at touching base with us throughout the night! She was a rockstar and we felt like the day went exactly according to plan thanks to her & the team!! Our wedding was absolutely wonderful, beautiful, magical - and we are SO happy we were able to start the rest of our lives at the mansion!! Thank you, thank you!!

They have a great team at Wadsworth, I can't praise them enough. They were incredibly responsive and able to answer every question I had (and there were many- this was my first wedding after all!) and guide me through what I needed to consider based on what they've done in the past, which was so helpful in allowing me to make my own choices, knowing what is possible and pushing the bounds! They were right on board when I said we wanted to have pool tables, for example, and seemed so happy to see us happy!

This venue was a dream come true. From the first email exchange to the very last minute of my reception. Everything went so smoothly. The ladies of Wadsworth Mansion are amazingly helpful, exceptionally responsive, and so extremely personable and accommodating.
Jessica and Catie were so helpful and responsive in email exchanges from months before the wedding to the night before. They answered every question, finalized every detail, and made everything my fiance and I planned in to a reality.
People always had remarks for my fiance and I when I told them we were having our reception at a venue where we would have to hire out vendors. I want to bury that myth and fear that so many people have of not having all the vendors in one package deal through a banquet facility: The staff at the mansion knocked it out of the ball park with communicating with other vendors, making sure everyone was on the same page, and making the night run so smoothly you would've thought that all these vendors worked together for years.
I can't rave about the mansion enough. Picture opportunities were endless, staff was amazing, ambiance was beyond extraordinary. DON'T MISS OUT.

The Wadsworth Mansion is nothing short of a dream wedding venue. From the moment my (now) husband and I set foot on the property, we knew there was no other place we would rather get married. From the stunning architecture, to the beautifully maintained grounds and the peaceful, quiet nature of the surroundings, there is not one thing missing from this location. And perhaps most importantly, Deborah, Jessica, and the rest of the Wadsworth Mansion team were incredible to work with for our wedding. They went above and beyond to make sure that our day was everything that we had imagined. The venue itself was the perfect size for our approximately 170 guest wedding and was equally accommodating to all of our vendors. We loved being able to make our wedding personal and our own by bringing in all of our own vendors, and the Wadsworth team was helpful in providing us with lists of vendors that they enjoy and have successfully worked with in the past. Deb and Jess were communicative from the very beginning, and always took the time to thoroughly answer our questions and requests. Our guests still talk to us about how breathtaking the venue was, and how the layout of the mansion and the grounds encouraged a beautiful, well-organized wedding. Lastly, my husband and I love that, now that we are married, we can return to the mansion for events such as the summer concert series and local artisan fairs and relive our wedding day while making new memories together. We absolutely recommend the Wadsworth Mansion as an elegant wedding venue that still feels intimate and comfortable for all in attendance - we will be forever grateful to have had our wedding and celebration at this timeless venue!

My husband Nick and I were so happy with how our special day turned out. The Wadsworth Mansion is such a beautiful venue for a wedding and the whole Wadsworth crew were so sweet and helpful in planning our big day!
Being married at the Wadsworth Mansion was an easy decision once we walked the grounds and saw how stunning the mansion came to life. The grounds are kept up in perfect condition and added a perfect backdrop for our wedding ceremony and reception. Working with Deb, Jess and Meg was simply perfect. From the welcome packet which explained all of the little details to the communication to ensure everything was lining up was seamless. All three ladies were there to ensure we had the most perfect and flawless day. What makes the mansion unique is having the building to yourself. There is one wedding per day, contrary to your typical ballroom banquet space. We very much enjoyed using both ballrooms for our friends and family. Trust them when it comes to designing your layout. They are very much experienced with all things weddings and if we could do it all over again, we would!! Thank you again, Wadsworth for making this a day we will never forget!
The Wadsworth and its staff made my 10/5 wedding everything I could have dreamed of, and more. I worked primarily with Jessica leading up to the day, with Meg as our day of coordinator. The ladies were fabulous at checking in with my now husband and I throughout the process and night of the wedding. Meg worked seamlessly with our catering coordinator/staff and handled any issues that came up. The mansion itself is beautiful as is, and we couldn't have asked for a better location for our evening. Guests raved about its beauty. I would recommend the mansion to any bride looking for her fairytale location.
Our wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion on 09.09.18 was wonderful. We had a pretty international guest list but everyone raved about how much fun they had and how beautiful the venue was. Everything was well organized and beautiful.
