Working with Denise Walden, the owner of Walden Floral, was honestly the most relaxing part of planning my entire wedding. My mother had used her for her wedding to my dad 18 years ago and she absolutely raved about how amazing the flowers were, Denise's professionalism and organization, her design skills, and most importantly, her ability to work within anyone's budget. When I went to meet her for the first time to discuss hiring her, she was so helpful and gave me a lot of information about which flowers would work best under certain conditions, the exact types of flowers needed based on my inspiration photos, and she took her time going over options and brainstorming amazing ideas like fairy lights in the table centerpieces! The flowers set the scene for a perfect fairytale wedding. And Denise, along with her staff, are the nicest, most helpful people you will ever meet. They take care of everything the day of, everything was delivered right on time and the flowers were so fresh and they smelled amazing!! Thank you, Denise, for the suggestion of adding a flower called "stock" to the arrangements because it turned out that's where the amazing aroma was coming from. I don't want to forget to mention that Denise and her staff are highly responsive to any questions you have and changes you need to make right up to a week before the wedding. We needed to add/remove people from the wedding party and family a couple of times and all changes were met with the desire to make my day the best day possible. Changes were made quickly and a new estimate would be sent out within 24 hours. I really cannot say enough about Walden Floral. If you don't hire them for your wedding, it's a mistake. This business is the epitome of class and cleverness combined. And please don't think that means you have to spend a lot of money to work with Denise because that is not the case. She truly can design beautiful arrangements for couples on a tight budget. Trust me, I know! Plus they are a local business so you are supporting the little guys who need it -- and in this case, so honestly deserve it.

Denise and her talented team were so professional, thoughtful, timely, and creative. We had a challenging outdoor venue and they provided pedestals for the gorgeous large floral arrangements to provide the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. Those same pedestals were moved indoor to grace each side of the sweetheart table to frame the couple during dinner. The bridal bouquet was gorgeous, all of the boutonnieres, wrist, corsages, bridesmaids bouquets, and the rose petals for the flower girl all were delivered timely, and to the correct various parties. The 20 table centerpieces were exactly as we envisioned. My friend used Denise and her team for her daughters wedding last fall, and recommended them to me. I am happy to recommend Walden’s for any wedding, inside or outside, and they will deliver beyond expectations..

I had a strange experience with Walden floral. We had a virtual consultation scheduled and no one showed up to it. After 10 minutes I called their office and someone joined. Then afterward I followed up via email and never received a proposal or ever heard back from them -- Note I've edited this review from one to 3 stars and shortened it because after the original review Denise called and apologized, which shows a lot of class and professionalism and I have a lot of respect for that. Mistakes happen - we did go with another vendor as a result but I wish Walden Floral the best!

Denise and her team are the best of the best when creating your image even if you don’t know exactly what you want. I had the image of different tables but I needed it to be not tacky or too much in your face hahaha idk how they did it but I hear about the flowers from our wedding still to this day! They will forever be my florist for any event or gift!

From the very first email to the delivery of our flowers on our wedding day we had the best experience with Walden. Denise helped our floral dreams come to life. She made the flower selection process so clear and advised us on adding greenery touches that we never would have thought of. We just recently worked with Denise at Walden Florist for our daughter’s wedding. We got nothing but compliments on all the floral arrangements. Denise is absolutely a “go-to” person for absolutely everything. She is extremely timely in her responding to our questions. She and her co-workers were exceptionally gracious, friendly and helpful. I cannot find enough positive adjectives to describe Walden Floral and how successful she helped to make our daughter’s wedding.

Walden Floral did an amazing job! They were a preferred vendor for our venue (Morton Arboretum), and I can see why! Denise was always a joy to talk to. She took the time to understand our vision and offered valuable suggestions that complemented our ideas perfectly while remaining within our budget. Her deep knowledge of floral design really showed, and you can tell that she gives her all to every wedding she does. All of the flowers on the day of looked absolutely wonderful! I may have to stop by again in the future though to say hello to the shop dog Maggie!

She was so good at taking all of the ideas and inspiration I had and helping me to organize them into a cohesive design for our florals. She really gave good advice to work within our budget and was so helpful in all of the planning. She met with me again closer to the wedding date to ensure that all of the details were correct. On the day of the wedding, everything was delivered on time and exactly as planned. She made sure personally that everything was perfect at the reception and it was absolutely beautiful. When my now husband and I began planning our fall wedding a year in advance, we knew we wanted to keep it simple and bold, as I love color. Walden was a preferred vendor for the Morton Arboretum so it only made sense we schedule a consultation with a local business who was familiar with our venue. Our first consultation was over the phone (mid COVID) and I didn't anticipate it being so detailed and extensive as it was. Months later we had a follow-up in person consultation and Denise greeted us folder in hand, she had taken extensive notes, had the sample pictures I had emailed and a sample of what it would look like. During our time in the shop Denise  shared her knowledge, offered suggestions/options and shared her experience with our venue. My husband and I felt at ease and comfortable to have a professional take care of it all. Over the months the vision evolved yet the simplicity and little touches added were apparent the day of our wedding. I was looking for a flower shop near me and I found Walden based on good reviews I went there for my bridal bouquet. It turned out amazing Everything I wanted. Highly recommend! Plus the whole staff is lovely and easy to work with.

Our flowers were stunning! My sister worked with Denise 10 years ago for his wedding and we had to use her! Denise also did our flowers for our shower and everything was STUNNING! Denise worked so well with us over the past few years after we postponed our wedding twice. She took time to listen to my ideas and tell me her thoughts and what would look great! I simply cannot say enough good things about Denise and her entire staff. From our initial meeting, where I told her the one flower I absolutely had to have in my bridal bouquet, through a postponed date, and then an iffy forecast for an outdoor ceremony almost two years later - she didn't miss a beat. She truly brought my vision of the day to life through her extensive knowledge of exactly what other flowers would complement my fall color palette. When I decided to add small centerpieces to our tables, she helped me come up with something understated, but elegant, all without charging us an arm and a leg. I am not exaggerating when I say that I irrationally loved my bouquet. The colors were so perfect, and it was absolutely gorgeous.

Denise was truly one of the best vendors I had for my wedding and we felt so fortunate to have found her. As someone who is not a flower expert, I brought inspiration photos for our initial meeting where she was able to determine my style and interests and stayed within my budget without any issues. She built flowers in front of me and stayed with me for a while discussing my vision. During COVID when we had to postpone, she made rescheduling simple. She even did flowers for my microwedding in June 2020! She was able to incorporate the lace from my mother’s communion dress into my bouquet, and created arrangements for all the areas of my wedding that I loved. They lasted for long after the wedding as well! The team here is truly remarkable and I cannot recommend them any higher. Everything on their end for the wedding day was flawless! You won’t regret hiring Denise.
